    1.5% for beginner should be the aim of total body weight put a month or just muscle?

    It’s dependent on genetics. It’s possible that the best you can do is .5 or 1%, which is fine.

    Hristo Valchev He's not an MD, but a PhD - Dr either way. He actually recommended not more than 0.5% bodyweight gain per week in one of his posts, which is pretty similar to the numbers recommended here. Better stop smoking and imagining things

    I like both of them but I have never seen Mike recommending any body weight percentages for 'bulking '

    Mike have a whole playlist called muscle gain made simple in which he recommends average weight gain of 0.25%-0.5% a week (1%-2% a month) for 3-6 month's followed by a maintenance phase

    Let's say you go for a bulk phase of 16 week followed by a maintenance phase of 4 week - you will see an average weight gain of 4%-8% in these 5 months ( average 0.8%-1.6% a month) . If you wish to you can start a cutting phase afterwards or continue to bulk up, whatever your results and goals are..
