Zach, when we went through this car at first, I felt like I burdened you; but instead it really showcased your artistic talents. On top of that, I know how you really did everything with a budget in mind which really shows everyone what you can DIY if you can think it!

I do like the way the bug is looking. Just not the fake rust. Patina is earned, like a badge of honor, a survivor.

Man you really did the unthinkable tbh!! I don't think anyone would've put the time and effort to get that car to look like a badass mini truck because that's what it looks like! Hell of a job and I truly loved this series! I mean that is very very creative and should be recorded as the most badass looking bug ever!!

It doesn't matter if we think it's worth it... It's your blood, sweat and tears going into this build... We, your fans, can possible give you ideas and help guide you through problems that you may encounter but when it's said and done.. be proud of you and what you have done and how far you've come.... trust me... the ones that matter in your life will always lift you up not bring you down... Dude! It’s looking cool now! That front bull bar is crying out for a rope to be wrapped around it like WW2 jeep. I still think you need rear facing lights mounted on the inside of the trunk lid. So when you pop it open the light up the hitch and trailer area. 😎👍🏻💡💡💡💡

Headlights are the best part of the car.

Your headlights if you used easy off oven cleaner it eats that fake chrome right off. I used it when I did my headlights and worked amazingly

You can get OEM LED Taillights for the Beetle. At least here in Europe you could buy it with them. Hit me up if you need help sourcing a pair. Btw love the beetle build and how it turned out. 😍👍

I have low profile LED lights on the rear of my vehicle from Rigid. I use them as AUX back-up lights. But I think they would easily fit on the hitch bar and not hang down at all. Anyway worth a look.

That’s a ton and then some of work you’ve put into your car. But In the end you will have the car that you want. I think so far it has come out looking really good. 👍 I don’t think the lights in the roof rack will make any noise. Can’t wait to see Sam’s reaction when you show him.

Zach, great content. I’ve watched all your posts but I do have a comment I wish you would consider. In a way earlier home remodeling video your video included a “Stop” sign as decoration. I had a childhood friend who was killed in a terrible way as a result of someone stealing a stop sign and another vehicle plowing through the intersection. I saw his mangled body all for someone having a trophy for their dorm room. Please put it back. I’m 60 and that still haunts me.

Hey Chuck... I'm sorry for the loss of your friend -- that's horrible. But I wanted to let you know that I have one, too (hanging in my garage). It's a huge interstate-sized stop sign that my uncle sourced from a highway-department friend back in the 80s. I only tell you this to ease your mind... not all stop signs are obtained illegally. You can even buy road-grade signs online now for $30-50. Hope that puts your mind at ease a bit.

You should install the fender lip molding from the Beetle DUNE. It gives the fenders a slightly wider look.

Wrap the rear window so it looks like the old split window! And for rear lights there are lightpods that is flushed mount in the bumper ! 👌🏻😊

WoW it’s come together really well, you should be so proud of yourself. There’s just one thing, I know you want to support the suppliers but that sticker on the rear of the bug wrecks the aesthetics.

Hi Zach The more you do on this build the better it looks. How about putting a light bar under the hitch on the rear? Sure the reverse lights light up the trailer but I find the light shining under the trailer much more useful in locating the draw bar in the dark. Just a suggestion and look forward to the spare wheel mount.

Hi there, the old rally beetles had some light protection grill on the front beams. That might match the look of the car. Really nice so far.
