I’m pretty sure he went to Valhalla due to Odin killing him combatively. I’d like to think there’s a place for his character in the future seeing as his daughter will become a Valkyrie and what their correlation to souls in Valhalla is she’ll probably still get to see him often. As for Athena and the olympians even though we don’t know if they have a higher plane of existence they clearly exist in some way past death with him communicating to her in his visions as well as Helios and Zeus. I’d like to assume since the Greek afterlife centers around Hades running things their dead is in some perpetual limbo outside of what’s established in Greek mythology (underworld pits of Tartarus Elysian Fields etc) which means they essentially have no Valhalla-esque afterlife and just exist metaphysically

Thor could have had a very good redemption arc but sadly it didn't happen!

Well Kraros did teach Atreus to “close his heart” to the struggles of others particularly when in combat so it’s safe to say he meant when the situation requires it, take their life with no hesitation. The difference is he means when it’s necessary Odin uses his sons and everyone else around him as tools and a means to an end.
