I’ve been at it for over 3 months between recording my own gameplay from God of war 2018 to God of war Ragnarök, planning, editing, and figuring out the way I wanted to convey this story. This was my first gaming edit and it definitely came with its own learning curves.
“Pretend to be everything you are not, teacher, husband, father, you cannot change.” “To grieve deeply is to have loved fully.”
There were so many quotes like this that hit me at one of the worst points of my life. The last section of this video is part of the reason it took me so long to complete. When I would get to this section, I would freeze because I was directly speaking to myself and what I was and have been dealing with. Emotionally, I am definitely attached to this project and the concept of grief that comes with it.
The video itself is quite long even though I did my best to keep it short but I felt it would not do the story justice to cut it any shorter. I hope you enjoy!

Such an amazing line when you realize that he means it. He cant die unless he knows Atreus is ok after he is gone and how even if he dies he comes back since Death hasnt really kept him dead permanently.

After GoW4 and Ragnarok, I will always love Kratos' yell as he cuts down the tree at 4:35. Over the two games you realize how significant that cutting the one tree is to his character.

Ragnarök was one the few games to make me truly cry, in both anguish and anger
that is the best cinematic masterpiece of any game I've ever seen SUCH A MASTERPIECE!!!
they should use this video when introducing the next game in line whether if it follows loki's journey or kratos, this was such a master piece edit and gives the viewer a special feeling where they actually feel something while watching. this was dope.

This was absolutely outstanding the amount of time and passion you put into this project can be felt throughout it. I really loved how edited him especially the part where you show who he truly is that was brilliantly edited. I understand why that last sequence took so long because its absolutely perfect you feel the love he has for his boy even though he has a hard time showing it. Your selection of qoutes combined with the scenes were incredible especially and this was my favourite part when you had the qoute we choose what God's to be as they fight Odin that gave me goosebumps I loved that moment so much and when he and bear form of his son stood together. This is such a huge feat for you bud the fact you captured all the gameplay yourself and then edited this masterpiece is incredible you should feel very proud of this edit I have a feeling I'm going to be watching this alot not to mention that insane thumbnail you made for it. This edit was totally worth the wait talent like yours for storytelling is incredible without a doubt the best god of war edit I have ever seen 💙

I haven't cried at a game character after I cried at Arthur. Arthur Morgan. He died. But Kratos won't. He's a living amusement. I cried at this video as much as I can. I don't know why. From the moment I've seen Faye in the first clips, I can feel goosebumps in my hands. I love this. Thanks for making this video

Kratos is an example of great character creation and development.
I relate to Kratos so much I went from being a man who didn't graduate selling dope and in the streets to running from my past to being happily married doing everything to protect my wife while my family says I can't change and people keep trying to turn me back to my old ways but I refuse to go back I will forever keep pushing forward for my wife and family till the day I die.

To hear Kratos saying he can only be the champion for his son is the best thing. He came a long way from his early days when he was consumed by his rage and thirst for vengeance. One of the best video game characters, best dad and the True God of War

i was in a deep dark place when Ragnarok came out, I took the day off of school the next day so I could play it all the way through the night it came out. It was my only excitement I had had for a long time. I finally felt something for the first time in a long time while playing it and after it ended I remember immediately going to sleep and when I awoke the next morning it set in. It was an amazing game but it meant so much more to me sometimes you have to be lost for awhile until you eventually end up on the road to where you need to go. Kratos destroyed an entire pantheon after living one life and finally after years he got what he needed in life, patience was the gift I never knew I needed and Kratos was the deliverer.
