I was showing my son, who finally beat GOW 2018 about how epically huge those bosses were in the older games. I showed him the right with Kronos where you literally fight on his finger and burst pimples to get to enemies.

The brakes in Kratos' voice lines tell a bigger story than is displayed for us, he is a hurt man trying to repair himself. It's a fully grown and developed character

For a while, he was just nothing but pure, unmatched rage. For good reason. Then he mellowed out and eventually began to open up. He became wiser, happier even. He found peace within himself.

And there is also a pretty good combat system, with good enemies, so I don't know why they are complaining. GoW 2018 was also a similar story-action game to Ragnarök, so idk what they expected.

@@justaayan2 Only ones making that complaint are dumbass Fromsoft fans, because they think any game with a coherent story is a movie game, and every game needs to follow souls storytelling when it doesn’t work with every game. Having 3 hours cutscene in a 25 hours story and a 50 hours game isn’t “half of the game”.

"It is the nature of the thing that matters, not it's form". The story, the acting. This game is like am epic ass audiobook. Even when they are hunting, the line were Kratos says "we are wounded... And THIS, this is a distraction. That subtle pause, point, and look gives even more weight to the scene. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I love Kratos. Every time he speaks to Odin is gold. He has "pathetic" written all over his face.

Kratos has legitimately become my favourite video game character of all time thanks to these last two games.

this game is incredible if you grew up playing god of war you know how much fun it was to destroy everything around you, but idk might be me, as i’ve gotten older i’ve become more stoic and overall reasonable and i feel this change with kratos as this character has grown so have I, as this character has matured so have I, not many if any games can pull something as embracing and insightful as this game is. there’s so many quotes from this game that put me on the right path.100/10❤️

I'm baffled at how Kratos developed into a model father. He even got Thor to put his weapon down using his Wisdom and not his Rage

"atreus remains" will always make me fucking sob. That moment shows the culmination of two entire games of character development, kratos wouldn't even touch him at the start of gow4. Everything leading up to that, everything that moment meant, god it's perfect

6:55 is the perfect ending if they don't continue Kratos' side of God of War. Kratos is no longer a ruthless god, a battle hungry Spartan warrior fueled by rage, the Ghost of Sparta. He's found peace and learnt what it means to be Human and a father. As a father he doesn't want Atreus to go, but he knows he has to. Otherwise Atreus will live with regret, as a born god, that will be a burden carried through many lifetimes.

i want to play this game someday, the scenes the dialogues the characters they're all perfectly made.

Christopher Judge just destined to play Kratos. Such a spine chilling performance!

I love Kratos 180° during the start of ragnarok. He's not there for war, he doesn't want his son in a war. So he decides to not fight but get people to safety. Something Faye or Týr would do if they were there, but Kratos steps up in their place

The scene where Thor asks Kratos what he's done, and how he says it with his whole body...he knew his pain just as well as he knows his own...but it cost him his loved ones at his own hands, he won't watch another father with the same shadow keep walking the same road he did...shame what happened to him, two seconds too late.

Odin trying to get Kratos to stay out of his way and Kratos just threatens to give the Norse realms 'The Greece Treatment' if he doesn't get his son back lmao.

Coolest thing about the "Death can have me when it earns me" line, for me, is it's more evidence of Kratos' progression as a man. Everyone talks about it because it's a hard line. It's striking. It's corny as hell too, but from Kratos, you know it's not empty talk. He means it. He c a n mean it. What I love about it is this: In earlier God of War games, Kratos actively sought death. It's one of the reasons he doesn't fear it and also one of the reasons his vengeance was wildly successful (vengeance is just shame boiled over. He killed his first family and no longer felt he deserved to live, but felt the Gods deserved to DIE even moreso). He's experienced death many times at this point and probably WOULDN'T give it a second thought.... If not for the fact that he's a parent now. He has an actual investment in the future beyond revenge and knows that he'll need to be alive if he wants to protect his seed, watch it grow, and keep it from making the same senseless (and greedy) mistakes that he made. Ya'll heard that line and saw Kratos "The Killer". I hear it and see a Kratos that has finally found something worth staying alive for.

Kratos: I was wrong, atreus.... I was wrong... Open your heart... Open your heart to other suffering.😧😟😞😣😔😢

Too inspirational

This is so engrossing and emotional it felt way less than nine minutes.

Never thought I'd cry over the character arc of a vengeful, murderous God, who becomes a peaceful (yet still occasionally bashes in a few skulls) father who just wants the best for his boy.

It is explained in game that all the magic kratos was able to use died when kratos destroyed greece. It's likely either either the sword just doesn't work anymore or Athena may be it's wielder now.
