Oh I'm absolutely going HEAVY into analyzing this color spread cover page. There is *ZERO* chance there's no meaning behind this. All the different looks of Chopper as a pawn, the different numbers on him, Zolo the 'dark horse,' Sanji the white stallion, just the fact that Robin is controlling all the pieces playing and isn't a piece herself when the board is actually missing a piece (only 7 Chopper Pawns). This is probably the best cover spread I've seen in terms of interaction and storytelling possibilities.

I wonder if one piece is a barrel and luffy will have to escape the Umi demon(reverse of imu) by getting into this barrel, It'll be lame asf but it even makes sense, there's a theory in which they talk about the umi demon, the whirlpool demon of japan which occurs on a calm sea, only way to escape this is to get into a bottom less barrel and wait until it vanishes away itself (luffy at start of expedition had a very similar experience), maybe oda wants luffy to end his journey the way he started it, escaping a whirlpool made by imu through a barrel

Vegapunk stating that " the world will sink into the sea" sort of confirms the theory of the one piece world being bigger than Earth by a longhsot Fishman Island which is not even anywhere close to the bottom of the ocean in OP is 10,000 meters below sea level. The 5,000 meters Sea Kings live below that as seen when they helped Shirahoshi and the Noah. Which means that the Ocean in One Piece is way more deeper than what we known and is shown. This is sort of backed up by the recent mother flame feat that shows that it rose the water around the world by 1 meter. And who knows how many times it's been used( well have to wait and see) ( now after this last chapter it's confirmed that what I've said is true because I was sort of like hold up why are 5,000 m size sea kings in fishman island and they could still fit in that depthif it weren't for the ocean floor being actually more deeper than the floor that surrounded fishman island ) The average depth of ocean irl is 3688 meters and the deepest IRL part of the known ocean which is the mariana trench is 10,935 meters which is only twice the size of the Sea kings that live in the Calm belt. And the calm belt is a nest of thousands of sea kings. Amd ehats even crazier is that the calm belt is a literal thin line compared to the rest of the world of One Piece So literally some of the bigger Sea Kings in One Piece that are 5000 meters are too big to fit in most of the ocean on Earth. And their are literal hundreds if not thousands of them There's also the uncountable sky islands which for some reason there seems to be a sea in the sky in some locations as well that also harbors many giant creatures Marco's states in the manga that there are around 10 to 20 million islands. Wether its true or not well probably never know however Marco is also stated to have studied navigation and is the doctor and navigator of the Whitebeard pirates. His vivre card confirms this Zunesha is 35,000 meters long yet it looks like ant compared to the rest of the world. If Zunesha was real it would've been seen by a lot of people since it's height is where comercial planes fly Then there's the many country size islands that look small in the grand line Drum Island is a country that has 5,000 tall mountains. Which Luffy climb while carrying 2 people with his bare hands. Luffy literally climb mount Bona ,cold injured while also carrying 2 people Alabasta is also a country. It's Sandora River is 30 miles long and it's a thin line on the Alabasta map. The sand dunes are 300 meter tall which are mountain size and the straw hats climbed over hundreds of them in extreme heat Skypeia is also a country with many islands around it. Dressrosa is also a country that is almost 2/3 of USA via Viola's 4000km statement. Which sounds crazy but it's still there. And If you use Pica's point of view in his golem form you can see that Dressrosa is a lot bigger than what many people believe Wano is also a country stated as well This proves that One Piece is bigger than Earth by a longhsot. Add we still haven't seen everything yet.

My Theory is that the original world was actually all land and very little ocean, and imu and others use some powers to drown the world, and the fishman are the humans who got left behind and mutated to adapt in water and the world is actually sinking for 800 years hence the Water 7 arc and that's what joyboy was preventing but couldn't do it because he was probably betrayed by someone, and he probably created islands for humans to survive, and one piece is the one that can bring the world to the surface again that's why the gorosei is not letting anyone that to happen, roger knows this but also knows that in order to save the world again, it must be someone who got the gum fruit or the nika fruit

The ending seems to get closer and closer but so many questions still has no answer

A lot questions are definitely gonna be rising in future chapters, especially for the navy/marines like how are they going to be reacting after knowing the world is sinking into the ocean.

There’s just one question: is the sea levels rising a natural phenomenon or is it being artificially done? I’m leaning towards the world being flooded on purpose and all fingers point toward Imu. I think Oda showed the 2nd to last panel being the confused, shocked expressions of the Marines because how many rank and file Marines will go along with Imu’s plan to wipe out the rest of the population? They have families too on the islands below the Red Line and it seems the only people who will be spared will be the Celestial Dragons. Now that the Marines know the truth I foresee a split occurring with many Marines deserting their posts and joining the Strawhats and the rest of their various allies they’ve made along their journey for the final battle.

Dang if only the straw hats were equipped with some sort of vessel that could float

As much as I would like to know what Vegapunk really meant by how the world will sink to the ocean, will the Elders still try to convince them that the scientist is talking nonsense, or the world themselves won't really believe in Vegapunk's words?
