I suffer from moral OCD. It's just so hard to get better when everybody puts on so much pressure on ethics and morals. I recurrently struggle with the idea of not having my politics defined yet because "everyone depends on me"

Why has nobody addressed the impeccable dry sense of humour of these men yet? That was incredibly insightful, and very funny. Thank you!

I used to punish myself with intense exercises in order to feel better about mistakes from the past.

I've been battling OCD all my life. I used to think I was born a bad person. I even told my mom that I wished I was an abortion. I always knew there was something wrong with my brain but I was too embarrassed to tell anyone. I'm 53 years old and am surprised I'm still alive. I found out at 52 that I have COD. You guys are a God send! Thank you!

My brain gives me impression that all my actions are watched by god and if I am doing something wrong as per understanding of my brain, something good happening has to go wrong. This thought will remain there untill something actually goes wrong. Somehow it manipulate me that I will actively go into direction of bad on my own. Everything is good bad, everything is relating to god. I am impactful to the world and by me being right and wrong will affect world people. I have to think right. It gives me thoughts about what is right and what is wrong, superstitious things, it will imply me limiting beliefs, it will look for such talks to think over to ruminate over. I am thinking of all these things only all the time. I want to withdraw myself from everything. I am literally holding onto and deny everything good Happening with me. It has impacted my choices that I make. I purposely chose wrong. I will bombard that no I don't deserve good. I don't deserve good things

My Father has scrupulosity ocd and it has deterred his potential, and seeverly affected his life. How do I let him know that he has an issue? There are issues in his work, in his philosophy for life and relations and even cooking and cleaning. How do I let him know he has an issue.

I have scrupulosity myself. Maybe, present the symptoms/signs of scrupulosity to him, so, then he can see he has it. That's how I realized I have scrupulosity.

I am constantly in battle with my brain, if it is OCD or not as I don't want OCD to control my mind. It confuses me all the time for every action of mine. I just want to be away from this scabby stinky dirt. I want to throw far far away. It has put me at such a restlessness that I am all the time irritated annoying get frustrated too soon. I am constantly justifying and finding if it is an OCD or not. I want to live life I don't want to be bothered what others are thinking thoughts. I have become the dumbest

I LOVE YOU GUYS. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING RELIGIOUS SCRUPULOSITY AS THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE MORAL SCRUPULOSITY. I SUFFER FROM MORAL SCRUPULOSITY AND CAN'T RELATE TO THE RELIGIOUS PART AT ALL.

I consider this OCD as a blessing actually. Before im not into worship, prayers and reading the bible. But because of this, i become holy and holier. The longer you have this the holier you will become, trust me! I think its a God’s gift. And we know anything from Christ, it must have suffering. So this is it! Its his way to save us to be more closer to him! If attacks happen, this verse is so effective just say it in your head “ The God of Peace will soon crush satan under your feet.” And it works! … remember thoughts are just temptations. And temptation is not a sin! Even Jesus was also tempted by Satan. God bless you all. ❤️

You're all condescendingly dismissing some very serious moral questions. And the concept that because I'm having fun this is more important than killing things? Sorry--doesn't wash.
