You mentioned in the last segment a story involving a child with ocd having and ocpd parent. I was wondering if this is common because I am pretty sure my mom may have ocpd and I have a raging case of moral scrup ocd! Any thoughts?

Yeah interesting observation. I think I had a parent with ocpd too, if not both somewhat. And I have had many OCD themes, but at the core they’re all tied in with scrupilosity somewhat. I think it makes sense... there’s the physiological aspect u get from DNA, but also if you grow up learning things as extremes... like perfectionism and many ‘musts’ and ‘shoulds’ and black and white thinking... and then you’re trying to please them constantly... I think it is a breeding ground for OCD of this nature. I’m just guessing here based on personal experience, I’m not an expert.
