Dude I like your vids, maybe you need to LS swap a weed eater and do some cleanup around the garage. LOL! Keep em coming. Maybe do a bit of how and why you strip the harness wires. Which ones to remove because, they are not needed, because...........

Thanks man! That would be a very heavy weed-eater! A little cleanup couldn't hurt, it'll get done once I have this project finished up. This harness I didn't really strip because we're using pretty much everything in it but I may have one in a future video that I could sow how and why to thin it out.

You gave me some good information on a obs suburban swap. My nephew is ls swap a gmc 1992 suburban k1500 with a 6.0 and 4l80e so this great information for us!!

Yea man you actually explained and made more sense on taking my original harness and adapting it to the new one I wasn't for sure to pin it all the way in the plugs or just tie into the wires cuz someone I watched on a video was saying just to do that I'm glad I watched your video man thank you and you definitely got my thumbs up 👍👍

I got a question on the 4L60E transmission that I have on my 5.3 that came out of a 2001 Chevy Silverado I put it in my four wheel drive 97 Tahoe I have the ls harness hooked up to the motor and I have the big round plugged into the transmission and the two on the modulator I don't have the vent to hooked up do you think that's the reason why when I put it in drive it really ain't trying to go it's like second gear caches and it's got reverse do you think I need to hook up my factory harness before I'll know it has any problems

I believe the big round plugs are pinned differently on the pre 98 4l60e, so your 97 harness is not pinned correctly to control your 2001 transmission.

Need to create wiring diagrams for these builds so people can work on them later

Not a bad idea. Would add to the cost though and it's already tough to find people willing to pay for quality work. People that haven't done a swap themselves don't appreciate or understand the amount of time it actually takes.

I am currently working on a 1997 k2500 4x4 swap. The donor is a 2002 5.3 ls L59 from a suburban. Does the a/c obs wires get relocated and repinned into to the 411 pcm. Great videos !!! You are inspiring a lot of us DIYers.

All you need is one ign 12v+ source from the stock harness to control your LS relays (I have a few that didn't have a job any more after I removed the stuff I didn't need from the stock harness so I used one of those) and then connect the original starter exciter wire to the exciter post on the starter. Super simple.

I don't even make my own any more, aftermarket swap harnesses are so cheap, it's not worth my time to build my own.
