Obeka, Splitter of Seconds - Commander Deck Tech

Your only meant to get one upkeep, magic cards are designed with that in mind, and also normally as a drawback. Normally they power down cards by making you make a whole turn to get the effect out of them, but with obeka, if we cast them pre combat, we get through for damage, we then get those upkeep effects straight away, no waiting around at all. And whats nuts if that we get multiple upkeep phases, for the amount of damage that we have dealt with it.
To make sure we fully get the most out of obeka, we’ll also be running ways of giving it some extra evasion, as well as more power so that when it does connect we’ll get a bucket load of additional upkeep steps.

I highly recommend only playing Obeka to close out the game. Play her when you have a board state. This deck is a literal glass cannon.
As soon as I saw this card I KNEW it would be one of the most fun and interesting commanders I have played.

I went suspend strategy, wasn't super strong or fast... but it's fun to play with and against.
You mentioned a bunch of the Courts, but you left out Court of Cunning. Milling opponents for ten every upkeep trigger is absurd😮💨👌

That might be because depending on the play group it could be pretty toxic? Idk, some people hate mill decks.... like a lot. Which I guess is fair lol

Omg it’s fucking insane, my bf built me an Obeka and I’ve been able to kill him twice so far by just strictly milling
Saurons relic is a good piece for ram since it adds two of any grixis color in any combination, as well as drawing you two for 3

my favorite things to do in this deck are extra combat spells I added moraug fury of akroum in the deck for the simple fact 1 fetch land gives you two combats plus it buffs the commander each attack with a normal land it turns obeka from 2 damage in one turn into 7 a fetch make it 12 damage.
So far she's been the archenemy of all games in which I've had the displeasure to face her.
I saw there are some odd storage lands that work in the deck. They all let you keep them tapped and gain a counter every upkeep they remain tapped in. Probably not worth running all three but slotting in whichever color you need more of could be fun.

yea the oracle change on them makes them great with obeka since you can use them in main phase one then put storage counters on them = to the damage delt for your next turn always fun to have a land that taps for 3 mana or more every turn
