If you add in Library of Leng, whenever you would discard, you may put the cards on top of your library instead. So, effectively, you can keep the cards you would discard. Slap them on your library, and redraw them 👍

Folio of Fancies and other cards that give your opponents extra maximum hand size makes having stuff like windfall extra cool. Nothing like forcing the turtle at the table to double think holding all their cards or they could kill the full table to a 10+ wheel with bowmasters out.

Amazing :) Bowmasters was a blessing for Nekusar players

I know you run primarily black, but you would benefit from these three reds. Ojer axonil which at a minimum would make nekusar do 4 damage (or more if buffed) each draw, Solphim which doubles the amount of any non combat damage, and maybe the most beneficial, Harmonic Prodigy. If a wizard (nek) or shaman (sangromancer) ability triggers, it triggers an additional time. Encode whispering madness on Sangromancer with harmonic prodigy and nek out, makes for fun times. Bonus red card, but an a-hole card for sure, Price of Glory. Whenever a player taps a land for mana during another players turn, destroy that land. Counter my stuff at your peril.

Or throw in a thought vessel or reliquary tower draw, draw draw, then cast windfall, or whispering madness and everyone draws to their deaths.

Love it! I actually just realized how I've overlooked Harmonic Prodigy in Nekusar...and I just added Ojer :)

Dud I made my own version of nekuzar mainly made it really evil, because I was irritated with a player in my group. He has a rule you can’t touch him or his stuff but technically he can’t control when he has to draw so that’s why I made this evil version and it is evil anyway man keep up the good work

@@MTGAlpha for being essentially hyper focused on one win con, he's actually a really versatile commander. I haven't explored the infect aspect yet, I feel like that is just too OP hahaha draw cards and you get poisoned!

I was reluctant to add those cards in Nekusar for that reason, but if I only get one chance to play him then I might as well make it worth it for me! haha@@v02max75

As a relatively new player (been playing 2 years) I recently built this deck, had its first run out and playing against my friends who started when I did. Had them taking 14 damage a turn at one point 😂

@@MTGAlpha 😂 they wasn’t ready for how fast it can take their life down. I was lucky enough to pull Sheoldred as did a friend who built a deck around her. We have a rule we don’t use a commander someone else is using, I now have a home for her 😃

What do you think bout Urza's Guilt in this deck? It's a 2UB Sorcery: each player draws 2 cards, then discards 3 cards, then loses 4 life. I used to run that way back in the day in my old Megrim/Warped Devotion deck where for 4 CMC it was 10 to each opponent. In this deck, with just Nekuzar out it's a 6 point hit. Add in, say, Orcish Bowmasters and it becomes an 8 point hit to the whole table, and with 3 opponents you're amassing 6. With Sheoldred it becomes a 10 point hit, and add in any other pieces out like Underworld Dreams and Megrim and it gets scary super fast.

Notion Thief can be turned into a win con in Nekusar decks if you have a Lab man, jace wielder of mysteries or thassa's oracle

I think days undoing doesnt work with Nekusar, does it? Because the abilities are exiled from the stack. But great Deck though, was my first one and im about to upgrade it now after some time - great cards in your video! Was a lot of help

I’ve always overlooked that last effect and you’re right! Well, at least that’s an easy one to swap out for Winds of Change :)

Im trying out mtg arcane laboratory with folio of fanciesand and forced fruition to force them to have as many cards in hand as possible so wheels havethe biggest impact, with hive mind it quickly gets the the point where one wheel could end up taking out mass amounts of opponent health.

Brutal! I love it. It's risky in the beginning, but that one wheel does serious damage. Maybe it'll give Nekusar a better reputation and people will let us set up more :)

Really nice ideas - Sangromancer hits me a lot :D. Unfortunately there's just a small amount of interaction/removal for opponent's stuff^^

It’s so good, but every time I have it out I get way too close to losing 😆 Still finding the right balance of gaining life. The new Sheoldred was such a perfect fit

Since you'll be drawing alot and have the hand size for it, how about Forbid as a reusable counterspell? And maybe venser's journal if you need more life gain

Holy shit, there are some BANGERS in there. I thought my version was nasty hahaha. I do have wheel of fortune in there(I bought it for another deck years ago so I put it in) it was a misprint or whatever so it was way cheaper than normal

@@MTGAlpha boy, I didn't realize how much those had gone up 🤯 same as my gaea's cradle hahaha. Bought it for like $60 and it's like $1,200 now. I did watch a really interesting video about proxying cards and if your okay group is ok with it, seems like a decent way to build/test/play a deck that you otherwise don't have access to. Obviously not tournament legal, but if your friends are ok with it?

What about adding that one black enchantment called exquisite blood i think were when your opponents lose life you gain that much life :)

I always view that as just a combo piece and totally overlook that it's actually really good lifegain for black lol I'll have to get an extra copy fo that.. Nekusar needs lifegain

Dragon Mage would be a good budget alternative. Probably better in some cases with the discarding. I also like Harmonic Prodigy to double Nekusar's and other creatures effects! :)

I put in stranglehold and weathered runestone in my Nekusar deck, I don't want anyone searching libraries or playing spells from graveyards or libraries. Plus, weathered runestone nullifies cascade.

First time seeing Stranglehold! I may add Weathered Runestone too. I was considering Leyline of the Void, but this seems better for Nekusar

Nekusar was always my favourite commander. Ive built him so many different ways. My favourite build was a wheel/storm build that was stupid OP. LOL nobody expects to get stormed out so they always remove the wheel damage pieces.

Notion Thief is a good card, but it turns off Nekusar... It goes in so many decks, but not this one.

I still have a lot of draw synergies in this deck, prevent my opponents from not drawing any cards and being stuck with 0 cards from constant discarding and then get rid of it at some point to win with Nekusar ability. But there’s other wincons then just pinging with Nekusar

33 land and no ramp seems risky

Risky - but I haven't had any issues. Lots of card draw obviously and several mana rocks. Low mana curve with a lower average CMC. Don't need much to start making an impact

I play about 12-15 mana rocks in my rakdos-grixis decks.. 3 rocks to me seems too low!

If you don't have nekusar or underworld dreams out to deal damage to your opponents for drawing cards, it helps to minimize your opponents' drawing, and draw you more cards. With cards like Niv Mizzet out, and Sheoldred the Apocalypse, with Notion Thief, you'll draw more, gain way more life, and deal damage to opponents whenever you draw a card
