    You only write something like this when somebody makes you feel a way that nobody before has been able to leading up to it. They may overplay Wonderwall but it is a masterpiece of songwriting. Noel should be proud of this one.

    I always loved this song...I loved it when it was new and I was a kid, and I love it now as a guitarist because it sounds so so good and it's SOOOO easy to play that any beginner can get it in a few minutes, which makes them love the instrument more and wanna keep playing.

  • @newtsmelt5415

    @newtsmelt5415

    I disagree about the ease of play in terms of actually sounding like the recording, and I don't mean because of multiple guitars. I have never actually heard a guitarist play this song properly. It isn't at all to do with the complexity of the chords (because outside of the Dsus4/F#, they are relatively easy chords for beginners). The issue is that they never follow the strum pattern properly. It is always a cheapened version of the song.

  • @MoneylessWorld

    Yes you are right so there is a complexity in it in a way because any transcriptions I’ve listened to say on Musicnotes or MuseScore always simplify the intro and if you listen carefully to the intro it’s anything but simple it might just be down to richness of the guitar recording or the subtlety of the chord changes

    Step off the train all alone at dawn Back into the hole where I was born The sun in the sky never raised an eye to me The blood on the tracks, and they must be mine The fool on the hill, and I feel fine Don't look back 'cause you know what you might see Look into the wall of my mind's eye I think I know, but I don't know why The questions are the answers you might need Coming in a mess, going out in style I ain't good-looking, but I'm someone's child No one can give me the air that's mine to breathe I met my maker I made him cry And on my shoulder he asked me why His people won't fly through the storm I said, "Listen up man, they don't even know you're born" All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I don't really care for what you believe So open up your fist or you won't receive The thoughts and the words of every man you'll need Get up off the floor and believe in life No one's ever gonna ever ask you twice Get on the bus and bring it on home to me I met my maker I made him cry And on my shoulder he asked me why His people won't fly through the storm I said, "Listen up man, they don't even know you're born" All my people right here, right now They know what I mean yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now They know what I mean yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now They know what I mean yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Angie Kay It's easy enough when you have the notes but it's still a bit of a bugger because I've been meaning to revisit this to get the little fast part. But if you want to give it a go yourself, this is it. Capo 2nd fret as always and then 5th fret / 1st string 7th fret / 2nd string 4th fret / 1st string Open E / 1st string Bass section : 4th fret / strings 4 & 5 Hammer on Then you have that wee fast bit that I have been meaning to get back to. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Then you have the little end bit 5th fret / 2nd finger 2nd string and then 3rd finger 7th fret 2nd string. If you manage to get the little fast part before me, pass it on :) Great to know this lead bit if your in a band. Many bands that I've seen cover this never do the lead because they don't know it, they just play the rhythm section.

    this actually is the guitar part for wonderwall. the "variations" you hear were just harder to hear before because of the liams vocals and the other instruments

    That part at 1:07 is in the original it's just low down in the mix. And there's another guitar playing over the top along with the bass, drums, strings, cello and Liam's voice so it gets drowned out but it is there.

    This is why Noel is on record.as saying he wishes he could.have re-produced it - cos in the original u cant hear the glory of that arpeggio in the bridge whatsoever.

    @FatTonyCologino Use the standard chord progression for that section of the song, and instead of strumming, pluck the strings with your finger or the pick. (I prefer the pick.) When you strike the D chord, you can move your pinky finger to the top string, just above the chord position, and pick to get that ringing-out sound on those two high notes. To do it right, you have to move your fingers DURING the chords, which takes some getting used to, but it's a lot of fun. Good luck.
