Utter class. Oasis will be remembered as one of the best bands of all time. Come on Noel. Stop being a misery and do one last tour for the people. We are all going to be dead soon and who’s going to give one about your squabbles with Liam. Imagine the happiness you’ll bring to millions of people when we really need it right now.

Recently had a biblically epic moment with the song as the soundtrack. Woke up just before my overnight red-eye was going to land at LaGuardia Airport, NYC. As the dawning sun peeked around the Manhattan Skyline, Columbia came on my headphones. With the orange dawn blazing into the cabin, the full groove hit just as the plane touched down. Like a scene out of a movie. Most fooking biblical way to start a new chapter of my life.
This song is like a dance track from the 80’s but with distorted guitars as the main instrument. Such a killer tune. Thats why I love Oasis. They combine pop, rock, punk and electronica in a way no band ever has. This video is great too…..

@BackToBackJames

@@LosAngelesLonghorn I know that's what it says, and that's what most people believe but it's not actually the truth. Columbia started off as an instrumental song which the band formed together. (Tony, Bonehead, Gugisy). From there the song lyrics were actually written by Liam and Chris Griffiths (from The Real People). This is confirmed in Tony's book and from Chris himself, two first-hand sources. Noel did, though, write the second verse "What I heard is not what I hear , I can see the signs but they're not very clear" It's actually a shame that all of these people helped compose the song yet only Noel gets credit for it.

My best friend and I performed this song back in 1995 aged 15 for our school talent show. We could barely play 3 chords. Hence, we picked this absolute belter of track to learn. 2 mins before going on stage the MC for the talent show (Mrs McCracken PE teacher) asked for our bands name. Suddenly I realised we'd never even thought about a name and decided to go with Confusion due to the lyrics. More than 25 years later we were still gigging and recording under the name Confusion. Within 10 years of that first ever gig we'd managed to bag a gig at King Tutts where Alan McGee signed Oasis. We've had a few members come and go over the years but both him and I have always been together. We didn't win the talent show though 😂😂😂

My dear Oasis are very important in my Life! I love all your songs and i listen all the days! I love you forever! I am from Rio de Janeiro.
This is quintessential Oasis. Pure power in this song.
my favorite oasis song
Simply raw - pulsating and throbbing...and pure Oasis at its very finest!
0:40 'I've seen so much to disgust mother, take me into your arms. How am I able to protect you?'
I remember listening to this for the first time at my halls of residence in the first year of university in late 1994, high on amphetamines and weed, and being blown away. While I liked a few songs from their first three albums, back in the '90s, I was never a big Oasis fan, but this song still sticks with me. I think it's their best song, while not being a well known one.
