Yup, a decent but pretty mediocre song on the album whereas here it’s got groove and it’s a real rocker. Liam’s voice is absolutely on point here, it’s aggressive but clear and absolutely in tune.

Most people and critics say, oh, bere here now was no good compared to their earlier stuff (DM, WTSMG), thinking they're real fucking smart. Only coz it didn't have songs like Live Forever or Wonderwall on it. But honestly, when I'm driving in my car and the sun is out and I wanna have a good time, I ALWAYS reach for Be Here Now. Not to mention that '97 was probably Oasis' greatest live tour...

The only way I disagree with you is that Dont Go Away and Stand By Me were both every bit as good as Wonderwall, but other than that completely agree its f*cking brilliant

Such an underrated tune

Opening song of a concert and the whole joint is jumping out of their clothes by 1:30. There will never be another Oasis, ever.

The power in this performance is just incredible. When Noel's guitar starts humming at 1:22 is just mind blowing.

This sounds so much better live than on the album!!! Liam at his absolute best. At this point OASIS were untouchable!!!

Being a teenager in the 90s and from Scotland this was the most important gig and album of all time

Still blows me away...what an opener this was, me and half my family were on the front row..you could almost feel the roof come off Gmex...enough said..

Pretty sure the phone in that box had a different kind of line....

I've been fortunate enough to see Oasis live 6 times including at Radio City Garden Theater, New York City, in front row. Trust me, Liam looked straight at me, came to me and said hello, cheers! Their live performances are in a class of their own. The power of their music is so strong that the crowd can't stop singing and jumping.

Liam air guitar!!!! BHN was definitely as good as DM and WTSMG, I listen to it more just because it's songs aren't as overplayed.

What baffles me is how powerful his voice is this night compared to the rest of the Be Here Now tour yet this was in December. Well after it started. I can't find another performance with the same amount of power.

Because its the first perfomance of that tour. So his voice was rested and recovered. After this night it went to partying, traveling and touring nonstop- fucks with his voice + the throat disease wich he has. You can clearly hear how tired his voice is later on this very same night, when they play D'you know what i mean. He's shouting and giving it everything he got, wich is fucking stupid in the long run, but its fucking badass. Its Liam.

Was at this gig, crush in mosh pit was unreal, had to move back after couple of songs, then saw my cousin get pulled out of the front as she was struggling in the heat of the hall but was thankfully ok 👍

All the bad press be here now got was completly unwarranted . What a great album. Remember the first time I got this album when it was released .and when do yer kno what I mean was released as a single , my god what great times . Bought it on tape and just wow what a great single . Then magic pie , my big mouth and all around the world . Not to mention the rest of the songs . They Basically shaped the 90s for me .

The real pinnacle!

Be Here Now has such an unbridled spirit, its heart is totally in the right place. I just wish it were mixed differently. The demos of the songs were supposedly superior, and after listening to Fade In/Out (the 1 song which WAS largely based on its demo), I have to concur that it sounds far more organic than much of the rest of the album. The songs are fantastic, but you can tell the pressure was bearing on the band; walls were cracking and they were spreading themselves thin at times. Still a great album. 1997 was my favorite year EVER.

Great little first song for an album this. The intro has suspense. Although I know it was half way in the album. If they took out all around the world at the end, magic pie, girl in the dirty shirt, i think i hope i know. And put in Stay Young, Aquiesce, Listen up. They could have possibly sneaked another awarded winning album in!
