Glad California doesn't have bigger problems.

This goes to show that Oakland has become so undesirable and has zero pride in itself. Resorting to piggyback off of SFO's name-recognition is such a cheap move. Lipstick on a pig really.

SFO can change their name to “SFO with In-n-out burger open, nearby, and safer.”

It doesn't matter what the name, everyone will still call it Oakland Airport. When the changed the name of the Coliseum so many times everyone still just called it the Coliseum.

They’re just mad because they missed out on free money to combat retail theft.

I'm not seeing the point of this, unless they're hoping people will fly to Oakland accidentally.

People are going to think they are in SF when they actually are in a dangerous city that they might be killed or robbed or worse.

I go to Oakland just for the Mexican food, which is the only thing left going for them.

There are alot more important issues going on. Spending all that money on copyright.

This may actually end up backfiring on Oakland International since the ridiculous lengths of the name scare confuse passengers. They will just book flights with SFO since it is shorter and easier to understand.

No way in hell SF is just as dangerous. Most of the riff raff in the east bay can’t afford to live in SF. Most of our problems come by car and BART everyday from Oakland. It’s so pathetic even In-N-Out left.

Their argument is crap. It isn’t that people don’t know where the airport is, it’s that nobody is stupid enough to go to Oakland. There’s a reason Southwest dominates that airport. That’s their clientele.
