If they are from chile, then they did a good job of honouring and earning the respect of the ancestors. Nowadays the real indigenous people have commercialised those traditional dances. That is how a real tahitian would dance. I have every rights to say this because i am a real indigenous tahitian. There is just too much negative comments on here. At least i know that Latino and hispanics love to dance our islands cultural songs. We are one family. They are the people of Hoturoa and hotunui. Thank you Kawika Tonga for the video. It was a pleasure to watch.

Teokotai Andrew Yes they're from Chile because this is from Rapa Nui, a Chilean Polynesian Island. They are Chilean by nationality, indigenous Polynesian by ethnicity. This is part of Chilean culture because Rapa Nui (Easter Island) is part of Chile. Unfortunately many many people have no idea about this and assume that Chile is only a Hispanic latino country and criticize without knowing.

There are a lot of hate comments here. Guys, it doesn't matter if the girls dancing are from Chile or anywhere else. They enjoy dancing and that's all that matters. If you have racist comments keep them to you, this is not the place for hate with such wonderful music.

Its really nice to see chilean girls performing the rapa nui dances. its nice to see that te pito o te henua has not lost its culture and dances. The chilean people and polynesians go back a long way in history. Unfortunately alot of the natives from South America and Polynesia dnt know about this history because they did not teach it in schools. History is vital because polynesians will disagree to this video. Rapanui has a past just like the rest of polynesia and it was slavery in south america. but the past is the past. Nice video.

Pacific Islanders are considered to be the best Navigators in the world. THAT statement is so true. There are many similarities between the People of Polynesian decent. I look at it this way. My wife is from Hawaii. BIG island. They are the Natives there and deserve the same respect for settling it as the first peoples there. As my Native Heritage allows me on the Mainland here in CALI. Each is it own people though Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian all similar. Yet different Hopi is not Apache

I love the Rapa Nui culture. I went there and was in awe of the culture, the moai, the place and the people. It was the most amazing two weeks of my life. A visit that will stay with me forever. ❤❤❤

Oh.....the enchantment of the islands. No matter what the nationalities, race or culture of these dancers in the video are, they are awesome and I love the way they perform. Thank you.

Yes it is , this is sung by a tahitian group named "Fenua" whom director is Guy LAURENS , this is also a tahitian dance style (tamure , 'ote'a , 'aparima). I am tahitian and I perfectly know those artists
Vamos derechito pal desarrollo.

All Rapa Nui are, so sweet thank you for introduced me to your culture.
Enchantment, Mystique, Beauty.......the call of the islands.
this song is awesome, gives a special feeling, I can't stop listening to it.
OMG ! It made me remember the fabulous song THAITI , THAITHI by VOYAGE from 1979 ! It `s so similar sound and rhythm , but only in my mind ! regards from Chile !
my favorite dance💕 missing the islands♥🌸♥
Beautiful love it! Great music and dancing! Superb! That's how to work what nature gave you! These girls know how to shake it!
MAPUCHE & RAPA NUI ❤️ love from FUTUNA
Kiaora Rapanui. This is the real dance, not commercialised that lacks in the feel and the rhythm the spontaneity. These wahine have the ihi, wehi, wana (inspiration, expression, feeling) the highest compliment in my Maori culture. Noho ora mai Rapanui.
Rapanui sounds to be a very nice place. That music is lovely and just wonderful !!!

@Kaiatheart im rarotongan, i think it goes like this, listen to this song, listen to my words, my voice, the voice of my ancestors ( my tupuna ) and taputaputea is some place in tahiti where cook islanders believe they came from on the big canoe migration. im so pleased to have come across this video as i feel a affinity with the language, theres a similarity to cook island language and tahitian. i think its a must for me to go and visit this place one day soon.

Cook islanders, Hawaiian, Tahitian people, and the islanders from Rapa Nui are all related. Their languages are pretty much the same, but with little variations

Love dis gonna teach myself dis one =) my hips remember da feeling, too much FUN!!! Great video, I be dancing in my head all day!
HERMOSO MI RAPA NUI!!! LINDOS BAILES
Nice video.

this song is among the best of those polynesian ones
this is incredible
Pacific Islanders are considered to be the best Navigators in the world. THAT statement is so true. There are many similarities between the People of Polynesian decent. I look at it this way. My wife is from Hawaii. BIG island. They are the Natives there and deserve the same respect for settling it as the first peoples there. As my Native Heritage allows me on the Mainland here in CALI. Each is it own people though Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian all similar. Yet different Hopi is not Apache
@lasvegashula This video was shot about 5 years ago in Missouri (of all places). Na wahine are from Missouri, one of the dancers came from the dancers of Kaleo O Nalani, the other two just started learning that year....
very nice song! I love it....
