O Gauge Live Steam: DavidMeyrick July 2019

The first Saturday in July David Meyrick opened his lovely garden railway to live steam operation. The weather was good and the steaming even better.
The years proceedings opened with Rafe driving Mike Goodwin's LBSC H2 and John backing his coal fired Atlantic onto the rake of new Pullman coaches. There are many passing shots as they circulated in opposite directions. Trevor's Royal Scot put in an excellent run where the large open circuit suits it. Mallard took over the Pullmans and did sterling service although I did not capture as much as I was preparing my mogul for its first public run since repair. Mike Lucas brought his gas fired Fowler 4MT and Rafe ran the sister meth fired version. Proceedings ended with John helping Mike fire a coal fired BAT.
Photographically the highlight is the left to right pan shots of Rafe's Jumbo. Its only a little engine but has excellent hauling potential.

Love it, So wonderful to see these 'live steam' locomotives at work! Also in some places you get realistic (full size) train sonds as the coacher run along the track!

Were can I buy a live steam coal fired o gauge model

I know of no manufacture of O gauge live steam for standard gauge locomotives. Indeed apart from John's GNR Atlantic and a coal fired BAT, I know of no other. John Shawe makes coal fired boilers for narrow gauge outline which run on O gauge track.

Are the others gas fired then? Where are those bought from please? I’m assuming all these in the video are O gauge.
