All you have to do for Nurse specifically is remember how far you’ll go from holding, and how long to hold based on where you think a survivor plays will be. If that’s too hard, you can even just wait for good LOS and know without predicting. The basics of all the other A tier or higher killers is a lot longer than that (besides Spirit). Advanced Nurse’ is pretty much just perk interactions.

Kinda crazy how the nurse, a near omnipresent teleporting killer who can down you in seconds with enough skill, exists in the same game as legion, a person with a knife who runs very fast and can sometimes make their power do something useful

I think instead we should be rewarding killers for not camping and tunneling instead of punishing them for doing it because they're just gonna wait out the endurance and haste anyways

Great highlight! The existence of little details like this only encourage more and more people to play these killers. It's absurd how much harder other killers have to work just to achieve the same match outcome by comparison. In some cases, it's not even possible.

​@@topsgaming4266 I myself still think this isn't a case of Nurse being better than the other killers themselves... I think it's a case of map and loop design being favored towards Nurse. The map and loop design, right now, is pretty big maps, with very safe loops, where unsafe loops are pretty rare. Nurse's power comes from being able to ignore all these safe loops. So in my eyes, the best way to bring all killers more in line with eachother is by making maps smaller, loops more unsafe, and spawning more loops, closer together, mostly for LoS blocking. This would make lower tier killers much better instantly, without even touching their kit, and make the higher tier killers not worse, but there is just a little less value in the mobility and loop ignore/anti-loop.

I do agree that maps should be adjusted in that way, as well as gen times to make up for the fact they're gonna be spawning probably closer together. However Nurse, as is, just ignores so many components and interactions/mechanics that survivors would have with every other killer for counterplay, by simply reaching a a certain threshold of skill that I find too low. Now I'm not saying you can never beat a great nurse, I am saying you will do better against every other killer of the same skill level.

It has very little to do with map or loop design and the fact that her base kit Allows her to completely ignore windows pallets and walls. Making map size smaller is good for low mobility killers. But does literally nothing for nurse. Info perks that aren’t named BBQ would probably be even more potent are nurse now that the maps are smaller. Completely changing tile generation for one blatantly overpowered killer is how we ruin the game. As a huntress and billy main I do not want more LOS! I am happy with many of the tiles in the game why do we need to add unsafe pallets. Hawkins is already one of the most killer friendly maps in the game and it is unsafe pallet city.

@@xskyzel You can't realistically buff most killers to the power level of nurse. You would need to buff them to the point where it looks like every killer is cheating to get even close. I do agree that M1 based killers probably need something, but giving every killer the mobility and chase potential blight and nurse have would not be particularly fun for the survivors. And as much as I endorse playing how you want, every game being a stomp isn't that fun to me.

Not only did he bypass the anti-camp, he also brought back old eruption with this build. Comp players are one step removed from being super villains.

Honestly like almost all the killers in the game can ignore the 'anti-camping mechanic' - as long as you proxy camp until the other survivors get closer its basically the same thing and it gets worse with any killers that have insta-downs/range abilities.

I mean that's still MUCH better than what we had before. At least Survivors have a chance to rescue / apply Reassurance / possibly deny an early hit on the unhooked Survivor. With Nurse none of those things matter and the resulting chase has the potential to be seconds long.

Why punish a killer for simply trying to complete their objective? This game is so stupid. If camping, er I mean holding a position, is something devs want to discourage, a better way to do it would be: while a killer is defending a hook too closely, all other survivors get a 10% gen repair boost. Or maybe any regressing gens stop regressing. So tired of people telling killers what strategies are "allowed".

I think I argued at some point after the add on reword that Jenner's should be considered an s-tier add on because of the sheer potential pressure it provides especially on smaller maps and it's nice that xeno popped off while using it well so it gets a lot of attention. Great showcase.

In my personal opinion, and as a DBD watcher, not player, even though I played about 20 hours years ago, I think nurse can't be nerfed or reworked in a way her power changes. The key to nurse is to ignore the rules of the game, and she can't have them imposed or she'd lose her identity. Not changing her power but adding a longer cooldown..? I don't know, but nurse is a completely different game and that's why the balance to every other killer affects her in a completely different way. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

thats why comp has rules. Any normal m1 killer would not be able to get a single stage because of body blocks in most games because the chase can last for 20s after a block no matter what and with healing perks like botany the reset happens fast enough that the next bodyblock comes in(u can see this in hens video when he played vs spooky loops when laser made it impossible for spoky to get a hit with power on anyone else and made it very hard to down him the only thing that saved spooky was survs fucking up and the ping diffrents). If the killer brings forced or sloppy to counter act this,then styptics and pallet saves with backround player and flip flop powerstruggle come in play. Meanwhile survs would barely stand a chance vs a blight on suffo with a similar build to nurse and compound 33. (also the title is missleading cause femba and haku have comp exp same as Kller and owa watches comp and has contacts in the scene. So even tho this isn't a comp team these are players with comp experience)

Nurse main here that’s slowly branching out, Nurse is still WAY too strong. Lightburn was not the best option to counter her, but removing it completely was a poor choice imo. Newer nurses had a harder time countering it. Nurse is almost guaranteed to win if they’re skilled. Her learning curve takes longer, but once you learn how to play nurse the only limitation is your own skill.

So Otzdarva I have a build for the Wraith that’s weirdly effective first equip the beast and the ghost add-ons then equip the perk distressing if you play well what this does is that survivors can hear you but can’t see you so they know you’re nearby but they won’t know exactly where you are then you ring the bell and they assume they’ll be able to see and hear you, but they’ll be caught off guard when they can no longer hear you and depending on where your positioned can’t see you either this creates a mind game where survivors freak out because they don’t expect you to be stealthier after uncloaked, and this can mess them up in many ways, they could accidentally run in your direction giving you an easy hit. They can be tricked into thinking that because they can’t hear you must’ve runoff in a different direction and not run away when they should giving you an easy hit because your terror radius, is bigger because of distressing survivors, get used to being able to hear you thus causing them not to feel like they’re in danger when they can hear you

Finally, my favorite nurse add-on used. Jenny's last breath. Very well used with whichever the name of the red add-on is that reduces blinks to 1 but has 4.4 m/s (Or 4.6 m/s) walking speed like most other killers. It's a good combo that reduces use of pallets and windows as traps rather than ignoring them. It catches survivors off guard quite a bit and even if they adapt to the add-on combo, they have to be wary and cautious of how to use windows and pallets as to not get either baited to get hit (or grabbed mid vault if they vaulted)

So what u took from this video is gen speed being problematic? Nurse still got the 4k with chases lasting 10 seconds max and you're complaining that gens got done? Just unreal 💀

That nurse is an absolute unit, they made that whole match look damned near effortless

I love using the purple add on that teleports you back as well as the purple add on that sends you forward another full blink after fully blinking. Very overpowered. I use the exact same build as xeno minus corrupt. I use agitation just to be able to reach my scourge hooks cause scourge hook rng sucks lol

Thanks for bringing this to light, i commented on Hens' video regarding exactly this. What amazes me the most, and what history shows. The perks will get nerfed and not killers like Nurse, or base kit Blight. Remember Wesker's launch and a particular perk which gave a lingering aura read whilst carrying survs. Nurse single handedly got that nerfed just by existing.....well and running Lethal with it lol.

A new way to be overpowered ? She has always been overpowered.

This Nurse pulled off moves that I can't even dream of pulling off. This player is insane.

I feel the nurse, herself, doesn't need a nerf. Her add-ons definitely need reworked though. She's a balanced, rewarding killer without add-ons. That's why I refuse to run them on her at all.

I've been running into this Add-on for months now I'm surprised it's taken this long for people to speak about it.

Yeah this vid is the perfect encapsulation of how survivor-sided the game is when both sides are about equal in skill. The only thing that could bridge the gap (and barely) was the fact that Xeno was playing the absolute top killer.

Honestly thought more people knew about this, it was really a shock to me that Otz and Hens first found out about it during the showcase. Haven't used it personally, as it goes against everything I stand for, but I immediately thought of the strategy after the introduction of the add-on, and again after both the anti camp mechanic and Ultimate Weapon came along.

uhm no. they really dont. make it each charge takes a second longer. bam done. that way she still has all her kill potential with the double blink. but she's punished more for missing. or just moving around the map more. literally nothing has to be done other than that.@@aurum4146​ (same for blight)

@@samstundis339 because if the blinks take longer to recharge then its harder to close the distance, which is the number 1 counter to the nurse. That may also be the reason you dont see 3 blink in these showcases. Even just 1 1/2 second extra time on the blinks makes it not worth running even tho it turns you into an unstoppable chase monster. Also I really dont think basekit Nurse is that OP. She has a couple add ons that need to be turned down and then shes fine

I loved this game for so many years, i still watch some videos, but since i stopped playing it i sometimes want to hop in again, and then remember how hard it is in solo Q or even with a friend, you need all 4 survivors in discord to win against so much killers, some of them sweat more than i have water inside my body..

I know this is random but I’m so excited for the casting of frank stone to come out. Dbd lore let’s go.

Hello Otz hope your having an awesome day, I really like going again the nurse, even if she's really strong. I find it quite the challenge. I love your channel and everything you discuss and go over. I wanted to get your reaction to an interaction I had with Dead by Daylight's customer service. I bought Chucky individually for $6.99, then i realized that the DLC was only $6.99 and you get the same Chucky i got plus a charm. So I wanted the charm obviously, so i reached out to dbd customer support and they made me go back and forth with a bunch of emails to only finally tell me that because i bought him individually and not the dlc which is only the charm and the same chucky i bought, that they could do nothing for me at all and that it's basically my fault for not getting the dlc. I've been playing dbd for over 5.5 years and have bought so much content to support the game. I just feel like they could've done something. Being close to them I wanted to get your opinion. Please tell me I'm not crazy, I just really think that there should be better customer service, I mean it's a charm so based on them not helping me, I have to go and spend another $6.99 for a charm i find that crazy. if youre on about for the people, it isnt a free health state - it swaps a health state from one survivor to another. the issue is buckle up, because thats whats stopping killers from getting the redown.

@@Efnol he's probably talking about the syringe that every survivor brought and how a meg was able to use one 3 times or so. Being able to passively heal while doing other things or even in the middle of a chase is insane and cripples a lot of killers ability to get downs. Not this nurse mind you, but a trapper or even a blight mightve suffered greatly. Especially since 4 of those were allowed in a seemingly set matchup or competition, its a little nonsensical that theyre allowed to get 4 and any perk they choose while also having comms.

@@DerHotler even then, i still disagree - syringes are the equivalent of a killer bringing an add on, that breaks pallets when he vaults in power… its not broken, its just a strong but rare thing that gives one side strategies.. yes its not fun, but neither is tombstone myers… 🤷🏽‍♂️

I hope this doesn’t get Ultimate Weapon and DMS nerfed. It’s a neat combo but not necessarily OP for lower tier killers, but on Nurse strong combos can spiral into being downright unfair.

@@ShinxyMuro I don’t mind it normally, and seeing some perks get actual usage is nice. It’s sort of a starstruck situation, in that lower tier killers can make use of it but high tier killers are far too strong with it (Nurse, Blight). They both can get around the map incredibly fast, and when combined with their potent chase ability it means the average survivor can do little.

I actually agree that BHVR shouldn’t necessarily nerf or buff things based around survivors who play poorly, but at the same time when pro survivors with hem-syringes are unable to beat a strat like this I think that speaks for itself.

Spirit has the exact same add on but no one realizes it. Where she can go back to her husk

6:16 here hens is incorrect about the nurse looking through the gap. Whilst they were looking through it, that’s not the reason they were able to determine where the survivors were. It’s due to a bug that lets you see through walls when teleporting through them, and as such revealing the positions of all survivors in the vicinity

of course there is a little bitch crying about survivors... killers have the most op perks that are not getting nerfed, while you all cried for mft for weeks and got it nerfed immediatly.

A Killer that's fundamental design is so bad that it ignores the rules of the video game that it is in and manages to handicap balancing for in-game mechanics and perks simply due to its existence

The fact that they have just not nerfed nurse to match up with all the other killers is insane. She follows none of the rules of other killers and has to put in minimal effort to get results. You wanna loop? No you don’t. You wanna drop pallets? No you can’t. You wanna prerun? No you don’t because she’ll catch up to you anyways.

I remember seeing this last night from Hen's video and holy fuck when I saw that moment my fucking jaw dropped and I was laughing so hard in shock, that was absolutely fucking insane LMFAO

Well the thing is, the nurse and the blight are the only killers, that can keep up with a decent team at high mmr. If them 2 are getting nerfed, there is literally no reason to play killer anymore, if you've reached a certain level. BHVR should keep an eye on that before decimating their killer base completely.

In my opinion I would rather nurse never be nerfed, because whenever i go against nurse it’s actually a little scary, being that she is the strongest killer in the game. She also runs different than most other killers and because of that, i think versing her is fun.

Yeah yeah, we all know nurse is good. Have you heard of stbfl though? Way too good on m1 killers and definitely needs a nerf. Can’t have them crawling out of d and c tier.

I saw the video from Henz. When I saw the add on being used in action I realized that it was that add on. Then noticed that you can go back to BOTH blinks. I thought you can only go back to 1 blink. Even more, I was confused at the first time he did it. I rewind it, then saw what happened. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU GET THE BLINKS BACK WHEN YOU TP BACK! He's over here doing 2 blinks, blink back once, and blink a 3rd time somehow, ALL BECAUSE NURSE GETS IT BACK! When I saw the add on on the description, it seemed good, but not THAT good. Just "oh you blink back to once and that's it" not you able to go back both blinks and get the charges back too! Makes sense why we all had our reactions to that perk cuz I ain't seen nurses with that add on! Or hear anybody talking about it! I read the description and I didn't think it works LIKE THIS! Since nobody is gonna experiment with add ons and perks usually it makes sense why no one actually knew how this add on works and everything! I sure as hell wouldn't! I thought it explained it well and to the point, but I guess there's a lot more than what it says I guess.

Can they actually just give her a new power at this point, she chokeholds balance and limits creativity when it comes to Killer perks being designed, as they can't be too good as in her hands they'll be broken. At least with a high tier Blight, you have a decent chance at dodging his hits, a good Nurse won't give you any opportunity with her power.

Very upsetting seeing "competitive scene" killers camping, tunneling and 3 genning like literal noobs. I haven't seen clean match yet in this series 😂

That was so crazy to watch massive respect for this nurse main. I've been trying to create a walking/no blink nurse build using her iri matchbox bc the effects on screen make me disoriented after awhile

I still think a better anti-camp solution is to pause the hook timer while the hook is within the killer's terror radius and they are not in chase. Still allows some cute terror radius suppression/reduction builds, still allows tactical proxy-camping, and doesn't set up one survivor for being tunneled anyway. You can argue it's not perfect, but it's better than this. This just incentivizes a killer that feels overwhelmed by insane gen-popping speed to wait for the self-unhook and tunnel or to sit there and camp them out. If you flat out know camping isn't viable for your killer/build, you won't do it or you get one weak unskilled kill at best.

I will die on the hill that Nurse isn't OP, she's balanced and every other killer is underpowered. She has a high skill ceiling and high lethality. The more skilled you are, the more kills you get. The less skilled you are, the less kills you get. It seems like pretty obvious game balancing, but most killers don't actually abide by this. There's a bunch of hard but weak killers (Huntress, Pinhead) or easy but strong killers (Chucky, Spirit) but hardly any killers are equally strong as they are hard. Only Blight and Nurse actually reward you for mastering their power.
