I think the only downside of the build is that there's no gen destruction sure he's got deadlock and no way out which aren't bad very good actually if anything but I think he would've gotten more value if he had something that would've broken the gen more since he couldn't apply enough pressure to keep them off the gens long enough.

The Plague absolutely has the power to swing with the heaviest hitters on the Killer roster. Her power lets her get hits in extremely passive ways and more or less removes healing as a function, rendering any medkits or healing perks the Survivors bring useless. Taking away such a huge and important part of a Survivor's toolkit at the most basic level of power use is certainly grounds to consider a Killer among the best.

Yeah, I think the main reason people consider Plague weak, is the same reason why people claim Trapper should spawn with all his traps on hand or claim Artist is B tier at best (when Artist has S-tier potential, the only thing holding her back is that she, for some reason, cannot place birds near a hooked survivor). They simply dont know how to properly use the killer's power.

With add ons and a sweaty build, by that logic every other killer also has to have their best build and add ons and she won’t compete, she just good at being annoying at least legion having his first hit free he has to actually chase you and get you again while she with her power can just puke in your direction and her puke wind up is fast asf with nearly zero cooldown for missing so survivors can’t even rlly gain distance

The key with her is to force cleanse. It’s why her apple addons are considered her best, despite having really strong alternatives. Coup is a good option too if you’re not confident with the power or comfortable camping if you need to force cleanse.

You know Otz, A great video idea would be to do your old “How to counter (Blank Killer) And do the Plague, She can be rather confusing for new players to go against and even experienced ones can struggle, With your massive knowledge of Plague I feel like you’d make a Excellent video!

Love how someone in chat at one point was like “Yeah this build isn’t as strong as you think it is” as if they’d do any better against these survivors. These survivors were perfectly coordinated and all good at looping and managing their time.

I will say, the fact that they recovered after that start was amazing. Best unbreakable value in a while. Tho that rarely stops Otz

It's not really amazing...That's very common. In this game if you want to win as killer, you heavily depend on survivors making mistakes instead of depending on your own skill. Only 1 gen done, 2 people on the ground, the 3rd on hook and the 4th being already chased and they still did all the gens and won the game (Even if it was only 1 escape) just because one of them had unbreakable...It's very unfair

I love using lethal with the aura plague add-on it’s such a broken combo and you get so much consistent value with those 2 extra seconds throughout a match

Match is over in 30 seconds if it wasn't for Unbreakable at the start, the great uses of their perks and items such as MFT, Dead Hard, BNP... And someone in chat said "Idk it doesn't seem that strong" I'M DYING LMFAO

idk didn't seem that strong to me either i guess my perception of "strong" has been altered by the fact that blatantly op killers like nurse exist, this build can probably get 2/3 kills almost every game vs decent survivors, but nurse can't lose games so in comparison this seems a bit... mid

If the killer can consistently get 3 kills then the A tier was a good placement. Everyone knows Nurse remains unbeatable and the number 1 killer, the video wasn't about that tho.

Basekit is also pretty crazy imo

This game really showed the power (almost 4 slugged early).but also the weakness (run early in close loops around tool objects) of.plague. I think skill of the killer and survivors really matter. Plague needs to tactically dexide which chase to go for and how to approach loops with the power. Survivors need to know on which direction in the map they they should he. These guys sticked to the little building like crazy, because they knew that its a very long loop with the 2 stages and plavue cant hit over it if they have a certain distance. So they alway prerun tk that and Plague became a M1 bloodlust killwr for 30 sec. No Nurse, No Spirit would suffer from that.

I’ve been doing a build like this for months. Those add ons have been helpful against gen rushers

i love running black insense with lethal pursurer to always have great information for those who don't cleanse.

As a plague main, I agree that she definitely an A tier killer. I noticed that when I play her, a lot of survivors avoid to use the fountain so I build perks around that: Corrupt intervention, surge, blood echo, pain resonance with the red add on that show the aura of survivors and yellow add on that make the gen infected longer. Never have to deal with exhausted perks and know where they are anywhere 😂

Trapper is so powerful he has escaped the tier list entirely. Naughty Bear skin is too OP.

Bitter murmur and or Rancor with deadlock would work so well with those addons...damn

As a plague main myself. I find black insense with lethal presuer is so unbelievably broken. I add the brown addon that shows me auras when a survivor cleanses. The added wall hack timer from lethal presuer does so much.

just ran this build on the lab. pretty good even on maps with poor los. they did complete all 5 gens, but i felt in control the entire match

To be fair Indoor maps kinda have shit pallets all which allow her to just puke over so if you lost that’s something to do with you ngl

Used to run this build exactly a couple seasons ago, it was old tinkerer then but still a great build

Excellently done, as always. Unfortunately I run up against teams like this all the time and I am not Otz.

Love being a Vommy Mommy main and seeing her get some love, Plague has helped me play better against her and Legion when playing as a survivor, basically learning how to play entire matches while injured.

Deadlock really works well as an info perk in this build because you know that after the unblock you should rotate to that gen's general location so that you get the down once they pop it. I personally don't like Tinkerer on Plague because she is very tall and leaves a smoke trail behind her, so I run Bitter Murmur or Pain Res instead.

True, tinkrer in some killers is so useless, and in general when i use tinkrer,all the survs expect it and everytime someone reach 70% of the gen they play around the stealth and pre run

Plague is such an immensely versatile killer, but no one really recognizes that. You only ever see either Object Infection or „Chase Plague“ with Emetics. Its sad that people don‘t realize strengths like the one in this build, but also a bit of a blessing. I don‘t like playing against Emetic Plague as is, if this was more common she‘d give Miss Merchant a serious run for her money

There are several ways to use it, there is an addon that leaves the gen infected for longer and increases its infection, the survivors get hurt quickly by repairing the generator, with corrupted intervention, infecting the 4 generators at the beginning and achieving the purge of corruption in the first puddle, it's strong because everyone will be harmed

Finally Plague. My girl. I have been waiting for it for so long by Otz. Iri is nasty. I don't like to run it constantly only because I feel it is too strong

Just did the otz killer quiz that i ditn realize existed. And my top 5 were( the skull merchant, the hag, the knight, trapper and the dredge) i only have 2 of these killers lol

One of the things i love about your videos is how you praise good players. I like being able to root for the s survivors, knowing you'll probably destroy them, and it's a nice respectful game all around. Thanks for bringing the positivity!

I HAVE BEEN RUNNING IRI SEAL PLUS DEADLOCK, I didn't think to use tinkerers for some readon though, I need to add that in!

Plague is really good and has the potential to be as strong as the top 3 killers but she has enough downside to not be OP. Except for Iri seal, I think Devotee's Amulet is fine with the 20 second bonus, but iri seal is a little too strong.

Iri seal is too weak. I would argue that plague needs infinite corrupt purge as iridescent, because iri seal is simply too weak.

It speaks that you brought duration addons because your survivors never finish gens as fast as mine for some wierd reason.

It would've been over had it not been for that 1 unbreakable this was a showcase of not just how strong the plague is but how strong unbreakable can be.

i think the main problem with plague is that she can not traverse the map in 2 seconds tbh

I still very much regret not getting deadlock when it was in the shrine a few weeks ago :(

I use exactly these two addons, its crazy op, shes just rly tactical, you need to find the right pressure point to completely turn the game from prep time to slowly but surely a 4k. Just overwhelming pressure

As a Plague main - well the title states it exactly right, this build is busted. Iri seal itself is extremely busted, so I only run it with no build at all.

U guys need to see tournaments in Korean server to see how powerful plague is. She is insane when playing with the "play with ur food perk".

I wonder why Plague is so rarely seen, she is strong and really interesting to play. Always a pleasure seeing a new Plague video.

"Nobody's using" Me who runs that as my main Plague build: am I a joke to you?

If you want a guaranteed DC, run Hex Plaything, Hex Pentimento, Thrill of the hunt, and a perk of your choice. Then run prayer tablet and the addon that adds 30 more seconds to object infection. Then 3 gen. Absolutely not fun, but you’ll win most of the time.

Regarding the tierlist i would honestly make some changes: Pinhead in A tier Dredge in B+ Pyramid head in A+ And dredge is honestly way better than slinger

I'm honestly so glad that game ended. Seeing how otz feels when trying to show some cool build/gameplan, then having people leaving. Man thats frustrating. Nice video, hope you can do more of this without suffering.

Yeah with all the new killers and adjustment of others, I feel like Pleague is forgotten and underrated.

I already knew this add on was super duper busted, but now that there are going to be more of these here are some things you should do as survivor. In general, you need to be a lot more aware of where she is and more team work if possible (note: deadlock is quite good with this add-on to extend the amount of every individual power activation) 1. Be aware if she knows your grouped on gens or undetectable when gens are almost done (tinker very common choice) 2. If all of you are infected and injured and she downs with the puke after a gen, immediately start cleansing and persist until the end of the match (mkae sure not to give her the power for free) 3.If no deadlock, pop gens relatively at the same time if possible to minimize use of the add on hope this does you well

Imo the top of A tier is reserved for those who are able to semi reliably down entire teams on a regular basis.

I did a build of the same thing except with Machine Learning so that way when they complete a Gen I get my power AND I’m 10% faster AND undetectable. It was too OP

I mean with this build she gets close to best killers on the game Basekit,like she gets close to basekit blight but nowhere near compound 33, adrenaline vial, meta build blight and nurse is nurse.

I get plague is def one of the strongest killers with one of her 4 best add ons, but without those she's just slow legion.

Otz, after ALL the changes in the last months/years, What are the best killers to buy first, taking into account only the perks? I recently switched to PC and lost all the progress I had from dbd on Xbox 😊

I'm late to this but, if I had to recommend Killers for their perks, Cenobite might be the best bang for your buck, as he comes with Deadlock which works with any Killer, Plaything which in general is pretty fine, then Gift of Pain which imo works great on instadown killers. Aside from that, Artist comes with Pentimento and Pain Resonance, and Grim Embrace is potentially getting buffed in January according to the roadmap.

Damn nemi has fallen. I expected pig and clown to be that low. Got them both last month, but tierlist be damned. They are definitely still viable if played right.

Is running a killer with the best perks and add-ons a good reason to have them higher in the tier? Wouldn’t that make Myers above nurse?

Great video and strong build but i do think the perks could be more valuable than those you selected. I dislike Deadlock as slow down because it can be countered by 99'ing gens and it gives survivors time to do other things while the gen is blocked. I would use Corrupt for a slower start. Pop for a guaranteed slow down that forces survivors to push the gen again, No way out also and with this specific build i would use bitter murmur that goes perfectly with the iri addon as well as no way out. I think discordance gives questionable value as survivors usually get more value from spreading gen pressure. Tinkerer is map dependent and if you're facing swf they can communicate your location as well as pre leave gens for a while after reaching 70%

I don't recommend Tinkerer at all. You might as well not have it, because it doesn't slow gens, doesn't help you catch the survivors, doesn't build up to anything, and the survivors will just pre-run or commit to the gen anyway.

yeah tinkerer is a stinky perk, especially on plague who you can see coming from miles away with her being tall as fuck, huge head decorations that maker her even taller and smoke coming from the censer weapon. deadlock is p garbage imo, removes your ability to kick important gens and gives you the illusion that gens are being done slowly

I don't play that addon because I *despise* using her vomit. So much so, that I don't even use her regular vomit on Survivors. I play an object-infection build, where it lasts several minutes on objects. I just make sure everyone is always 1 hit down, and I use Undetectable to get my hits. Her vomit is EXTREMELY frustrating to use. People can legit run circles around a *tiny rock* against vomit. Sometimes, you hit people *very clearly* with a solid second or two of the stream, and score no hit for it. I HATE her vomit. That's why I deliberately avoid using it.

I’m honestly surprised that spirit isn’t S-tier and chucky in A+ is great, look forward to knowing all about it.
