My favorite Nemmy build uses purple ink ribbon for 50% faster zombies, iri badge for 150% zombie speed when a gen pops, and Ultimate weapon with whatever slowdown perks. I get as many people infected as possible and when a gen pops...i open a locker to send a heat seeking undead missle at them 😂😂. I have got 3 zombie downs in 1 game doing this

That’s a very rare anomaly though. The survivors can easily outrun them and also the ultimate weapon would have to get one of them sat on a gen and unaware of the zombie. It’s a good build btw but just not as reliable

Nemesis was supposed to have more zombies. But after most Killers preordered (With most preorders being non-refundable); BHVR turned around and said 'Oops! The game can't handle all those zombies. So here's a trash-tier Nemesis with 2 zombies & no change to his kit to compensate. Thank you for your money! I mean, you support!'

​@@Eguzkypre-ordered what? You can't pre-order DLCs. Also nemesis had 2 zombies in the ptb. Bhvr did say they tested with three zombies but the game couldn't handle it. But that was well before the DLC was announced.

Otz is the smartest iceberg explained ever because he comes prepared with a winter jacket. All the other youtubers died of hypothermia when they dealt with an iceberg

You find out in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles that the tyrants like Mr.X were mostly made using clones of Sergei Vladimir, a russian umbrella exec whose blood reacted to the T-virus with the tyrant mutation. Since nemesis is just one of those tyrants with the parasite attached, I guess that means he's russian.

In the Resident Evil manga it was revealed that Nemesis specifically was a former box champion, who run out of money and donated himself to take care of his family. Hence why he swings crosses and hooks like that

Funny thing is, Jill is part French too. In fact a lot of things are French in the RE universe, like the chopper used by the Alpha team.

I find it kinda unfair how wesker gets escentially a buff to his power the more survivor's he's got infected, that being a faster recharge time of the bounds. While Nemesis needs to infect them, just to even damage with his power and even then doesn't get any lasting benefits from it.

He's been trash since mft, tier 2 96% vs 103% survivor at high-walls/loops... feels so bad. Once mft is nerfed he'll have redemption, tier 3 is irrelevant when a competitive nemesis game you'll probably be tier 2 till end game.

@@_Super17_ it does if the survivors have half a brain and run circles around you at high walls. That 7% speed difference means the survivor is long-gone past line of sight by the time you've fully charged your tentacle. Think. It used to be a 4% difference which was manageable. Range is irrelevant if you are actually looping tightly around high loops. Otzs "trivializing nemesis" video speaks volumes.

@@sam7259 the main problem there is that 90% of nemesis players constantly pull up their whip at pallets which allow survivors to constantly run them on those loops Dedicated Nemi mains tend to not be as respectful as survivors think to pallets.

@@_Super17_ I'm aware of noob nemesis being too impulsive at pallets. Unfortunately with mft if you are at the perfect distance to not respect, the survivors can just vacuum slam you. Try to predict the slam and back up with tentacle? Survivors bolts around corner and is gone with mft. Mft just gives too much leeway at the right loops. You'll get them eventually, but then 3 gens pop and you're barely tier 2 or still tier 1.

tbh I usually play nemmy like this, but the minute my corrupt ends I start downing and hooking, no reason not to, injury and down tenta-smacks still give tentacle buildup. I also don't bother running his vaccine removal addon, and instead run his zombie detection range addons to increase the detection radius the zombies have for a little better information. You really gotta drag your tentacle on every swing to compensate for lag, too.

Otz you also have the bad habit of letting pallets stand even when you're the pallet smashiest character.

From someone who has mained Nemesis since his release, I currently get the best results using the perks: Corrupt Intervention, SH: Pain Resonance, Discordance, and NOED. My best add-ons have been the Admin Wristband for a surprising amount of information, and the T-Virus to use zombies as a boost if I am having issues in the early game getting infects. The gameplan is to eat up as many pallets as possible, while keeping pressure on a 3-4 gen. Usually the first 2-3 gets fly by, but once the gens start to get closer together, survivors just can't keep up with Nemesis having such a good chase power. Zombies also help quite a lot for knowing where survivors are if you're good at forcing survivors down routes that zombies are near.

Congrats to Otz for his RE knowledge. Nemesis was made in France. And the lore expansion of Remake 4 basically tells you to that Luis was involved with creating the Nemesis, hence the obsessive design of using parasites to create weapons. On another note, Tyrants are technically Russian cause most of them are just CLONES. An umbrella administrator by the name of Sergei has the “cool DNA” to become a Tyrant, so they clone him to make them. Because the Lore of RE says that T-virus victims have a very VERY low chance of becoming a Tyrant if their DNA is capable. But RE lore is a disaster, so cool stuff isn’t really shown. Like Crimson Head and how they should have been in Raccon City because it’s the same T-virus. But some copium users claim that somehow they made a different T virus in the span of the months between Re1 and 2. And then there is the fact that Remake 2 was making an enemy that was the transition between the Crimson Heads and the Lickers, because that is the final evolution of the T virus on some people.

For Nemesis, I use Corrupt Intervention, Pop, Nowhere to Hide and Pain Resonance. For add-ons: I use Marvin's Blood and Depleted Ink Ribbon, my strategy is go for infections and no downs early game in order to keep getting Corrupt Intervention value and attain tier 2 or possibly 3 early game

Facing a Nemi in T-II with Corrupt Intervention still active is a scary thought. That puts the survivors heavily on the back foot. The only counter I can think of is running into the Corrupt zone and trying to delay the game for two minutes, but you have no idea that's what you're facing until its too late. Nice strategy.

What happened with Mikaela's Adrenaline at the end has happened to me before. I think you get stuck in the animation of falling after hitting and can't move until the animation is complete, essentially giving the killer enough time to finish their swing animation and just hit you again as you get up. I don't know if it's a bug or an oversight but it really destroys the perks value in some situations.

It's been like that since adrenaline got released. They only recently changed it so you can't get adrenaline on the killers shoulder and completely waste the perk

As a nemesis main, the 4th layer of the iceberg is you run area control/basement builds with zombie detection add ons and mad grit just so you can punch faster. 5th layer is I use tentacle exclusively as a matter of principle and actually would sometimes try to achieve complete saturation. Layer 6 is I don't have a plan, I just like his chase music, and layer 7 is I realize playing him is pain so I play other killers until I uninstall the game for a while for some other reason.

My general strategy for Nemesis is to hold off on vaccines until he's reached stage 3 or until death hook. If I'm on death hook, I'll typically hide and wait far away if I'm death hook anyways, but I'll make sure to grab a vaccine and hold onto it for when I need it. That said I don't really enjoy playing against Nemesis because much like Nurse and Blight he just ignores the only defenses a survivor has and forces them to adapt to a wildly different playstyle to survive that doesn't seem very intuitive for new players. I enjoy having variety in matches, yes, but these three kind of take the cake on "Different but in a negative light" to me. The only other killer I find in this sort of category is Spirit, but that's a personal gripe with how the Spirit works and less so about her game design.

I like how Otz is wearing a winter coat at the beginning of the video as if he is actually next to an iceberg. Otz going above and beyond for his fans as usual!

I think you've got it twisted bud. They'll go to a gen and rub their nose against it, not moving at all while survivors complete the gen. Yes this does happen, and its even in one of otz's weekly compilations.

They would need to make it slightly harder to reach T-III if they implement that change, I think. That's pretty much the Xenomorph's tail power right there, except it can also break pallets and doors. Very nasty.

add ons and zombie ai reworks aside, really wish they'd reduce his tentacle recovery animation when hitting uninfected survivors (to reduce the length of 3 hit chases without buffing his chases against infected people). and reduce both it and his m1 recovery when hitting zombies, just bopping them out of the way so they don't block you. but yeah he needs his zombies to be made more consistent before any major changes happen, like removing flash stuns might sound nice, but then they'll need a built in presumably non pallet related counter and that might hurt in the long run. same with vaccines, right now they don't do much, ideally they'd make you a zombie magnet so you can be "confident" that you zombies harass the right people while you apply pressure, but make infection too strong and give it a bunch of effects and like wesker you'll need to give them more vaccines.

Taking as long as you did to get a down in game 1 would auto-lose you 75% of games. I main Nemesis and I go for pure efficiency. Corrupt Intervention to delay early game, whip first person I see, commit to 2nd person for Tier 2 then get a down. Hook on Scourge hook with Gift of Pain and Pain res. Use BBQ and Chili to beeline for next target. As little wasted time as possible. If someone runs into you and is dancing around, don't try for whip, just take the guaranteed punch as fast as possible. Often they will lose tons of distance because they are dancing all over the place and waste a portion of their speed burst from injury. After hooking, when you get the Gift of Pain debuffs rolling, they will often fail to heal everyone up and you use BBQ to target the healing location and go for whoever is still injured. If they are still injured, you can re-down them and they won't lose the gift of pain debuff and you don't need to scourge hook them again, just take whatever hook is convenient.

That's why I love running Discordance on Nemi. Not only do I know where at least half their team is when it triggers, there's a chance that a zombie interrupts both survivors before I can get there. If that's the case, one has to waste a lot of time leading it away, or risk it looping back to their ally. Their only other option is abandoning that generator.

the level three was me but i realized that discordance and eruption both turn gen yellow, so they have a tiny counter synergy.

I’ve been having a blast running a “zombie value build” that’s dual zombie speed add-ons and a lot of screaming perks, and discordance. Not a lot of wins but if I bring the right map offering I get a lot of zombie hits. One game I got 3 zombie hits.

as a nemesis main, my build consists of: Lethal Pursuer (to get early tentacle whips), Pain Resonance + Agitation (to ensure I make it to a scourge hook as quickly as possible), and STBFL (when survivors vaccinate early and i use agitation with this for any survivors wanting to take hits while i’m carrying someone), with Marvin’s blood and Broken recovery coin or depleted ink ribbon. Works most of the time if I get to tier 2 asap

As a Nemesis enjoyer, I find he's kinda slept on when it comes to overall oppression. You get to Tier 3, and there's almost no stopping you.

It can work with game afoot and thrilling hunt. Game afoot on nemesis and Bubba is pretty deadly. Nemesis is not a must-have perk for this build, but it is a huge QoL one Did 30 games in a row testing it. It works, kinda Nemesis struggles on pallets, actually. If he lands a hit, he has to drop chase (because then they make distance and the pallet is in between you). If he breaks a pallet, he cannot normally catch up. With game afoot, if they are not injured, you break the pallet instead and get speed boost. Now every pallet is a guaranteed hit without dropping chase. And if they are injured and try pallet, that is an opportunity to secure a down right there. Furtive chase and Nemesis (perk) are just to swap obsessions and see where the unhooker (who now becomes the obsession!) went.

Is it possible for you to do a wraith build consisting of coxcombed clapper/bone clapper and trail of torment? I’d also recommend you run hex: the third seal or fearmonger to hide the fact your using trail.

Nemi being a business man… very seeable lol. Honestly give man a top hat and he could run the world.

I dont ever see people run the build I do on Nemesis. I like to run Discordance, Hex: Plaything, Trail of Torment and Oppression. Oppression is such an undervalued perk. With my add- ons being Seratonin Injector and Tyrant Gore. No one ever suspects the Stealth Nemesis and it's glorious.

Nemesis needs buffs imo, he just feels so miserable to play as. Against a decent team zombies are nearly useless they might as well not exist, and his power grants survivors a third health state ALONG with a free speed boost as if they’ve been injured. They need to either remove the speed boost on infection or make the tentacle do damage regardless of if they’re infected or not and make infection actually do something like Wesker’s

You should try Singularity then. He removes infection by hooking people, and his cures are infinite respawning plus affect multiple people at once.

As a Nemesis main: I like that infection does not damage. Makes Nemesis more immersive to play as (he plays with his victims). For me personally immersion > everything else. BUT I wish that there were more mutation tiers. Because as is it is somewhat underwhelming.

somewhat an off topic, in most recent games the anti camping mechanic seemed to not have been working. i forgot to clip it but i was going against a wesker and i got facecamped with none of the unhook meter building up, is it possibly a bug, did they remove the mechanic, or is it bcuz he only has 7 minutes to spare?

what are your thoughts on running the iri zombie speed build and claustophobia sounds like it could be fun

To all nemesis mains: y'all gotta try game afoot, nemesis, furtive chase, and rapid brutality. It's stealth and speed in one build - and it combats w-gaming. It's a blast. For some added spice, swap out rapid brutality for rancor. I recommend it highly

Maybe use forced hesitation instead of the sloppy, so that when one zombie downs them, others suffer a heavy slowdown and can no longer outrun the zombie

Level 5 would be only the perk nemesis, they are so confident they know they don't need good perks for global saturation
