@jackk.4670 its not much of a pdf but here’s what i wrote down back in 2021 or 2022: The shred has a tiny hitbox below the waist so sometimes when going down stairs it will not hit survivors. The shred has to fully charge for max distance so wait for half a second more after getting the prompt to shred for max range if you want to fly then dont be at a slope and stand back a bit to get the most distance. portals have a range of one gen so if you put one behind a thick wall next to a gen then the long side of the gen might not be detected by the portal. using shred to fly is ineffective to get hits because of the tiny hitbox below demo so you will usually just bounce off of survivors heads. the shred has the distance of shacks walls. Patience is very key when using the shred because most survivors will do a fake to avoid the shred. at shack from the doorway to the window you are guaranteed a hit if you see a survivor start to vault. portals can detect survivors on the floors below them. portals can detect survivors inside of lockers. you can hear sounds when teleporting so you can tell whats happening between the two portals you are teleporting from and to. theres this window of time when a pallets being dropped that you can shred it before it goes down all the way. survivors can run through you when you shred a pallet or breakable wall. holding s while shredding seems to make it become shorter so if you miss a point blank one, then you can start holding s during it to slow yourself and get back. there used to be some loops where you could shred into an object like a blight hug tech to slide across it. Autohaven short grey/red cars are slidable they also appear on Macmillan and badham. My last addition was just this : bus has invis hitbox on one side that i want to strangle the life out of

Unnecessarily draw out the endgame, tbag, blind as leave, etc. if he loses he loses, he’s a balanced fella and gets he’s not a god. But when they just goad you like that and it happens a few games in a row or it’s the 40th game in a 50 win goal and the survivors just have to rub it in. You can’t expect anyone to not get annoyed

I faced a skull merchant using this same build and honestly her new power is pretty similar to clowns but her has an easier to obtain built in haste. They both take advantage of the guide pretty well!

I bought the skull merchant and ended up using zanshin for similar reasons of the clown guide as well, without even thinking about it untill later! (bought her yesterday) Her drones just benefit from being placed in high traffic areas around or between certain loops. from my experience covering as much as you can in terms of windows/pallets/etc makes you a chase monster, as you'll cover multiple loops with one drone they ideally wont know about. I've won matches with JUST zanshin tactic's already (since i went from basekit to one perk and one addon to try to get used to the killer with as few tools as possible) from creating chase preassure. of course its STILL very difficult since some survivors at somewhat higher MMR/Iri grade killer grade will just CHEW through gens, but its most certainly not impossible, especially when people don't look for your drones.

Can confirm, I've been playing with his exact build, and using the expired batteries addon + prototype rotor, the idea is to always outrun the survivors despite MFT, and to place the drones on pallets to force them to be scanned, I also tried Machine Learning instead of Coup de Grace and it's a decent substitute

I would really love to see how Arinad and his build does against comp players. Chase builds are usually simply out of the question in comp, so I'd find it interesting to see if things fare better for a really skilled clown player like Arinad using this chase build.

I imagine Survivors would know ahead of time the gimmick of the build and play it ultra safe. Still, Clown can do pretty well with certain rulesets! I've seen KnightLight do super well with him several times.

@@notOtzdarva Yeah, in hindsight PWYF and Save are both perks that really can be really hurt by survivors knowing you have them. Although I feel like good comp teams would catch onto even PWYF really quickly even if they didn’t already know about it. Really good job against that group of survivors on Badham btw Otz!

I'll comment here and second @@notOtzdarva's opinion. As much as I'd *love* for this build to succeed in a competitive setting, the ramp up is just too slow with how efficient survivors can be. Speaking in a general sense, you're going to get pre-ran into pre-drop on every first chase with a second survivor showing up to force a bodyblock after that survivor is injured. You're then going to lose 2 gens likely before your first hook is completed since the build doesn't have Corrupt Intervention. They're not going to actually pop the generators early so you can use Coup to get your first down when you fall behind. Unless you get an *insane* early game start, survivors in a competitive setting are just going to outpace you before you become relevant. Beyond that, many leagues also have bans in place that prevent some parts of the build from being ran to begin with. For example, DBDLeague has bans in place on Cigar Box, Coup de Grace, and Play With Your Food. In order for this build to be ran in a balanced setting, you'd likely have to design a ruleset from the ground up that allows it to begin with.

Watching Otz have this much genuine fun playing DBD was heartwarming.

Caught you stream for the first time yesterday, and it’s honestly surreal how fast you get these out since I remember some of these moments.

This was a great video and I have to say you seemed to be really enjoying yourself in the last game, it was very fun to watch and hope you continue to find enjoyment in DBD (or play games that bring you joy!)

My friend played against Arinad. He hard tunneled off hook every time with coup and STBFL. I respect his dedication to learning a killer's playstyle so well, but he's also crazy sweaty in pubs.

can confirm. me and my team were hard tunneled at 4 gens by him. we did make mention of it in egc and he defended himself HEAVY saying he didnt tunnel. after a few exchanges, he exclaimed "when did i say i didnt tunnel?!" idk dude, the entire like 5 mins we were chatting and you were saying you werent?

I love all these perks on clown, personally, I would trade play with ur food for dissolution. Dissolution is a hidden gem for clown, it literally can put survivors in situations at super safe pallets unescapable. Its so fun (obviously when it works). The length of time for a survivor to vault and break the pallet is a little short so you got to act quickly, but compared to other killers, it works 90% of the time on clown

It was really nice to see you enjoying that, especially the last game. It was good to see

I love that you had final fantasy 3/6 music playing at the beginning. Made my day.

Tried this build out, it's really fun. Didn't know Clown could be such a powerhouse.

170 pages. That's not a character you need a guide for, that's what you dedicate yourself to. You sit under a waterfall and meditate on the Way of the Bottle and the Truth of the Straight Razor.

There’s one and ONE reason only that I watch these clown videos: I find the fact that the killer that got into the blacklist of death by boredom killers on my end fascinated someone THIS MUCH. I end up being bored by the actual gameplay, but the story preceding it is extremely fun.

Here’s a little tip for you just throw the yellow bottle on to the gen it’s like clowns bass kit of no where to hide perk.

the lunges stacking with all of this bonus movement speed is really what makes this build crazy

Nice vid otz as always just wanna add one thing about the throwing bottles threw the roofs there is a couple maps where the shack has almost no roof or half a roof so clown mains should look out for buildings like that. Maybe do what i did and go to all the maps and test the roofs to see if there is a gap on it or if it has no collision

Otz you should try rapid brutality on the singularity. The haste pairs really well with his teleport.

As of late I like running a build that gives me info on where the killer is without needing their aura. Any means shows where the person in chase is dropping pallets, rookie spirit to see what gen they kicked, spine chil to know when they're headed for me, and premonition has been surprisingly nice, helping me not run directly into the killer on Leary's for example

Boy, when even Otz makes a passing joke about your bad behavior, you know you messed up.

That last game was one of the funniest matches I've seen in a while XD

Cigar Box single-handedly carries Clown for me. Being able to see auras virtually on demand with little cost feels amazing. Trying to run something else feels like equipping horse blinders

Exactly, cigar box is really strong. If your attempting to show how strong a perk build is taking it every round distracts from that for me personally. Its a limited resource and a huge crutch for the weak part of this build

Hey Otz, ive actually started playing Clown a lot more because of Arinads guides, ive been really liking this build, but ive been substituting PWYF for Dying light for a little gen slowdown, and the beaker for 4% more hindered instead of make-up. Been really enjoying so far!

I love that add on combo on Clown. I use it every single match, and have for over a year. I also use STBFL and Rapid Brutality. Only difference is I use Endurance and Bamboozle. I play wrong with Coup, trying to save tokens when I shouldn't.

I love that this has turned into something like discovering a new page in the Necronomicon with powerful forbidden knowledge xD

I've actually came up with a similar build myself except I use jolt instead of PWYF. If the obssession blocks me I just hit them with an iri bottle before hitting them and the trade off is not so bad.

As insane as some people might see this, we take for granted the ability to write hundreds of pages on exactly how to do something. It's actually an insanely impressive skill to be able to share knowledge like this with everyone.

I had a similar build idea around stbfl + coup + unrelenting that I totally forgot about it until now, and that looks really fun honestly. It’s kind of redundant at this point, but if you replaced pwyf with unrelenting and did missed coup lunges after a hit i imagine you’d catch up almost immediately. My thought at the time was to do that on demo and go straight into shred, but that’s probably overkill.

An interesting thing with Rapid Brutality and PWYF is that Rapid essentially delays the loss of the PWYF stack by 10 seconds.
