It all makes sense why someone would be numb to this stupid pointless game that we are forced to play without our consent. It is highly flawed and filled with so much negative elements. Suffering, pain, hardship or misery are all elements that are attached to and imbedded in this game. There is hardly any positives aspects of life apart from temporary pleasure.

Exactly, and when we express things like this ppl are always like “well this is temporary, you won’t feel like this for long” Like nah it really isn’t, bc eventually what we find joy in is the REAL temporal, it doesn’t last and we’re gonna go right back to that state of being world weary or whatever they say about us. And like you said there are hardly any good aspects and the bad definitely outweighs the good. Besides trying to be oblivious to the harsh reality of life, how are we supposed to enjoy things and have a positive outlook on certain things when the world as a whole is a prison planet?? Whether it’s directly happening to us or not, what we hear about what goes on in the world with different countries and ppl and the government actually does affect ppl mentally, well for me anyway like I’m very sensitive to shit and we have to deal with all this just bc we’re here and a part of this shitty society… it never fails to make me wish that I never existed in the first place tbh.

You summarized this topic very well. I'm very similar. I eventually become disinterested in things and move onto another cycle, just to repeat it all over again. No matter how excited I am in the beginning, it always ends with boredom. I even go through this with things that have been consistent in my life for years (sports, video games, music). On top of that, when you're aware of the futility and deception of this life and realize we're all just coping with this existence, it makes it even harder to enjoy things. It's also difficult to explain this to most people. It's still hard for me to fathom potentially doing this for another 50 years -_-

Like Charles Bukowski said in his one interview, "life takes on a repeat". You start hearing the same conversations, seeing the same reactions, same behavior's, same people doing the same things over and over again. It's nobody's fault, it just is what it is. Things get old and played out. This is the epidemy of what vanity means. You have been given through your own experiences in and of life the ability to speak, that can speak for long periods of time, and if that's what keeps you going, then by god golly gee and the universe keep on doing it. Maybe think about doing this for a living somehow...SBN RESONATE

I prefer solitude, independent tasks and my own space. Most people are just fake as fuck. And the thing that annoys me the most out of it is fucking m*rons that are always trying to mold you to some "standard" or trying to force you to be a certain way that you were naturally not born to be... like stop asking me BS questions like "Why are you so quiet". I think it's because, we live in a society that turns life into this boring, tired hedonism, it's a movie, where everyone screams and laughs and cries the loudest and prettiest nonsense, no substance. Life is all about the individual, who is free from everything but himself, and can now only care about himself. The world is the individual too, and it's such a shallow place to be, one with very limited knowledge and without much awareness of anything else. The only thing to feed is the senses but not the soul. And what does the soul crave...?The only thing our world gives us is some material comfort, which makes bored individuals who are not mentally, spiritually stimulated, given worthy tasks to focus on, that could lift us all up. We live in such an artificial and superficial reality and we chafe against it. The way we live was made to be self serving and psychopathic in nature, like our leaders, the only difference is they don't have to work as much as we do but both groups have endless distractions. What we are living is the highest form of nihilism.

Therapy is only useful for determining what meds you need to be on. If you find a really good therapist (good luck bc its a needle in a haystack) they can teach you coping mechanisms but the problem I have with that is the world is everchanging and the coping strategies you learn are challenged as soon as you leave the therapists office. The issues are here to stay no matter what. And there are some things that cant be coped with, plenty of sexual assualt victims rope for this reason. Society needs to understand that some people can deal with problems but not everyone can, we need to legalize euthanasia.

I don't tell anyone, well no one ever asks, mostly because they don't know how to respond and would worry about me. I don't need that. I get mildly interested in, maybe even a little excited about something and it lasts a few weeks. I've learned to buy the cheap stuff for my hobbies, ie get the art supplies on sale. i'm just killing time too. waiting for my exit. SO thank you. I feel SO heard and seen.

Yea existing sucks. Everything hurts to the point of constant suffering. Im tired of you can do this, or you can do that to "make your life better." There is no "better" for me. Ive hit the wall. Constant boredom, tiredness, with a growing lack of compassion to care about anything or anyone. That's what humanity/life has taught me. To not care. When i did care, it was either too much or not enough. So ive embraced being cold for it not keeps you warm, but for it makes the pain and suffering of life hurt a little bit less to keep surviving. There is no "living" for me in whatever reality this is.(a countless amout of them at that lol) It's only surving in my perspective. Now i can see why The Joker had that signature laugh with the smiley face makeup for a presence because he was aware of the truth of life. Because, why give a shit? Everytime one did, the other end only used and abused as if its all a competition to gain faster traction to the next level when none of this matters at all. Losing all care isn't the answer, it's just a perspective of mines that i learned from having what i thought was compassion or sincerity to care. The old saying goes, "in this world, you only have yourself." Quite ironic that is considering all the things surrounding that are at play. And that is all that this is. A meaningless play of pain and suffering for survival. My harsh truth in the game of life. PS- There is no "I"..... None of this is real and not to be taken seriously. For life is just happening while life goes on. I've lost all care of life and it was best(and worst) possible thing to happen. -Promtly, NOT I

I thought of something: are you US guys aware that if you have strict gun control in your state, you can go to a state with less severe gun control and buy one without a license? For instance, you can make private purchases without documentation in Maine. That's really great. Here in Europe only the Swiss can do that, and it's pretty unlikely that they will sell to foreigners. And it might not be the easiest thing to bring it out of Switzerland, even in you do get hold of one. Only organized criminals can easily get hold of guns in most of Europe. I thought about this, since I saw that it was relatively difficult to buy a gun in Massachusetts (although easier than in most countries in Europe, of course).
