NS 68V (Loaded Limestone) Leaving Asheville at Sunset w/ OLS C40-9W

Комедия

Limestone loads for the Catawba, NC power plant. 2nd out is NS #9253, a special operation life saver unit. I believe the limestone loads are used in the scrubbing / cleaning process. This train arrived in Asheville, where a new crew boarded and helpers were added, and is seen here rolling again, just east on the S-Line at Swannanoa. Helpers for these trains are usually cut off at Ridgecrest, but are sometimes taken back down the mountain to help with breaking and cut off at Old Fort.

Only took me 7 years to figure out what those loads were! Great video! There's a bridge just east of that location (Buckeye Cove Rd.) that's a great shooting location as well. But i'm sure you're familiar with it already.

Hey man! Know what I think would be an awesome project, something I'm going to try once I get back into the hobby. Adding sound to a few train cars. In the hobby, we're only concerned with the noise that the locomotives make, but in the real world, the cars them selves make a lot of noise. A flat spot on a wheel slapping the rail every rotation, the wheel flanges pinging the rails making that high pitches whine noise the thud thud of the wheels going over rail joints. If you could take the sound from the train cars in this video and put it in a few HO rail cars, I think that would be freaking awesome!

Sean Williams hey sean Soundtraxx is already making or is making the sound boards for the train cars and they have a few cars that are consisted together using a magnet and yes i said a magnet. i have been in contact with soundtraxx for the last few weeks giving them idea's about what should happen in the model railroad industry/hobby. some of the idea's that i talked with soundtraxx about was adding sounds to the freight cars and it takes alot more programming then what you think to do what you just talked about doing. it takes alot of work and planning that goes into your idea/project and some of these things are only in Digitrax sound decoders right now but Soundtraxx has already beat the other company's to coming out with bigger and better sounds. for the matter of fact SoundTraxx put the WOW in Sound Before TCS WOW sounds came into world and TCS also stole the WOW Sound from SOUNDTRAXX and all of this information came from Soundtraxx themselves. Your Idea's are AWESOME but they are already in the planning stages right now. Cheers From Michigan
