As a magician, the most unrealistic part of this movie is when he gets laid for being a magician

I like this movie. The plot twists came together so magically at the end.

since no one has said it yet. The scene where shes in the tank "faking" drowning. It actually turns out she was actually drowning. The crew thought she was acting tho and kept rolling for a few seconds too long. Luckily she made it out but you'll find shes not in the sequel lol

​@Antwannnn They could have been at different stages of pregnancy, Scarlett Johansson was also younger than Isla Fisher(older women can have more complications during pregnancy). But most importantly, she probably just didn't feel like she was up for filming while pregnant, what she wanted is the biggest factor, she didn't have any films the next year so she probably didn't work on anything during her pregnancy.

Olympus Has Fallen was a great movie too, haven't seen many reactions to it

I remember seeing David Copperfield when I was a kid and I'm still mad at some of his tricks because I can't figure out how he did some of them. Makes sense that he was an advisor for these movies

Great cast(since "Zombieland" you can't go wrong with the Woody Harrelson/Jesse Eisenberg team up), and a great storyline. And you were one of the ones that I've seen that figured out part of the twist at the end involving Mark Ruffalo's character. 4:02 - 4:34 Very Scary Fact: The scene when Henley was unable to get the chains off, actress Isla Fisher really got stuck. And her reactions in the tank were real. I very VERY highly recommend the sequel "Now You See Me 2". It's enjoyable and the magic tricks are just as fun. Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊

You'd probably love the show Jonathan Creek, it's about an eccentric magician's assistant who solves murder mysteries, it's just as much a 'howdunnit' as it is a 'whodunnit', considering the elaborate tricks used!

1:29 - "7 of diamonds" trick is actually pretty simple (as most magic tricks). The card you want people to remember is placed is such a way that it will be higher than other cards during the showing. That way most people will remember that card and not another.

How do you place a card ‘higher’ in fully aligned stack? Or are the symbols on that card printed closer to the edge of the card?

@@aphextwin5712 No, you push the card up, so the top of the card is about half an inch above the deck. Then you flip card deck to the crowd. Because one card is higher, your brain will notice it. There is a video on KZread that explains this trick.

For me the first movie just walked the line where I was willing to suspend my disbelief while the second one crossed it a few times. Still reasonably entertaining though.

Ah c'mon now man, I know it's not realistic but does it really have to be? It's one hell of a well crafted script, keeps your attention, has good effects, soundtrack and great plot twists, it's pure entertainment imo, I don't think the lack of realism takes away that much compared to what it offers no?

This movie and the sequel are garbage because doing magic with CGI and editing is lame af BUT you should check out Dan Harmon (of Community/Rick and Morty fame) and his Harmontown rant on Now You See Me. Genuinely one of the funniest rants I've ever heard and easily 30x better than both movies combined.
