Solid effort for sure. I’m an ND fan but I enjoyed seeing the offensive scheme early on. It took a lot of adjustments to handle their style. They looked shifty and really fast. Good game 🙌

This game was my first time really checking out ND in-depth. That defensive line is monsterous and that may be the best pass rush in the country. Definitely a weapon.

To me, ND blew to smithereens two myths this year,(1) they can't win a big game, they can, although I would argue all their games are big, and (2) Ian Book is not an elite QB. Oh yes he is, he was outstanding today, bad snaps, guys in his face all afternoon, he amazed me.

They came up a little short, but they looked damn good. This was against the #2 team in the country and it came down to the last minutes of the 4th quarter. They have my respect.

LOVE those condensed games. Can’t suffer team timeouts anymore. Superb the physicality of ND O. And FINALLY, finally, some D AND tackling in CFB. Well done ACC DN 👏

ND’s defense dominated even without Hamilton. Just crazy!

U guys r delusional. Our defense was pretty damn good but we played a team that’s 6-2, lost to Virginia and FSU, and barely beat wake forest. Our offense was an absolute shitshow and honestly we played like a team that doesn’t make the CFP. We should’ve won by a whole lot more but that was just weak. Idk wtf we’re doing but we can’t play like that against Bama or OSU and get away with it. Maybe Clemson tho lol

Notre Dame is by far my favorite college football team. I thought that they were going to have a lot of trouble trying to stop North Carolina’s scoring. Somehow Ian Book and the Irish just keep proving me wrong. Go Irish ☘️

Howell had ZERO time to throw and make plays. Once he has time, he can actually make the throws lol. Look at his strike to Brown early in the game. Had guys in his face within seconds all night long. OC for UNC failed to make any adjustments. ND brought the linebackers down during the RPO's and we never attempted any quick slants or quick outs to try and burn their aggressive nature. ND controlled the LOS and that's all it took to render the rushing attack and RPO ineffective. Boils down to O-line and adjusting playcalling.

Speaking objectively as a non-ND fan, I didn't see anything wrong with their offense. They weren't able to capitalize on all their scoring opportunities but this was a tough game. You aren't going to be able to capitalize on every chance in games like this. Their sideline passing game seemed almost at-will and their rushing looked sharp.

I feel like if our FG kicker didn't shank a point blank 30 yarder... a 34-17 win feels much better. Great performance by our defense, don't know why we had to sit in a base defense for the fist two positions... two easily avoidable TDs.... but once we got aggressive, UNC had nothing. I hope we've seen the last of our FG kickers inaccuracy, if not.... it could spell disaster.

Defense had one of their best games all year tbh. UNC held ND's run game in check for most of the game. Took some offensive magic by Book to make some amazing plays against UNC. There were points tonight where UNC had 5-6 true freshman in on defense. Started a kid who is supposed to be a HS senior at corner today. Future is bright in Chapel Hill. Game is won in the trenches, and ND dominated both ends of that tonight.

A High School kid starting at the boundary CB spot shows you just how talented the young group is. UNC's future looks damn bright if you ask me. If people haven't gotten a chance to see Luke Maye's younger brother at QB, when Howell tips his hat for the NFL Draft... the chance to see a bigger Aaron Rogers will be displayed.

Once those guys grow and come into their own with Mack Browns philosophy, UNC will be back to national contention like they were in the early - mid 90's before Mack left for Texas.

Book is a winner no question about it. 27 of his 28 wins were sure things and the win against Clemson was major. I want to see him beat either Mack Jones, Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields. That would solidify how good he really is. They will need a flawless total team effort.
