Yeah because people are tired of Notre dame losing almost every big game they have played in the last 25 years and still being somehow given the benefit of the doubt. Oh and it was 31-7 in the last minutes of the 4th qtr let’s not act like Notre dame was really in striking distance at any point in the game.

And another point. Notre dame got 14 points from the 80 offensive plays. Alabama may have been held to a season low 31 points but they only ran 55 offensive plays. Notre dames “moral victory” is really not that impressive when you actually break it down.

What makes this Alabama team unique is that not only does it overpower and out-athlete you, it also out thinks you! The prime example was on that Billingsley touchdown. Sark knew ND was going to play zone, and that crossing route with Devonta and Metchie got the ND secondary to completely bite on it, leaving Billingsley completely wide open.

That kickoff play sure didn't look like ND had an edge in special teams. Got schmeared.

My former neighbor in Florida is a huge ND fan. I told him if BAMA did not win by 14 or more it was planned to lose. No way ND was even in the same playing field as BAMA who basically took it easy. John is still in Florida dying another BAMA death. I retired and moved to N. Alabama/S. Tennessee border. So much quieter here and less stressful. Much like Alabama. ROLL TIDE ROLL. John sorry buddy ND just isn't ND anymore. BAMA's last three vs ND BAMA 28-10, BAMA 42-14 and BAMA 31-17. None were close. BAMA owns ND. BAMA had their Priest on the Sideline during the game. God is good.

My dad is originally from the N.E. Bama/Tenn border from a place called Bridgeport. It’s like a second home to me. Beautiful country.

If I have to sit through one more chapter of ND being TOTALLY CURB-STOMPED in a meaningful game, I'm never watching college football again. What a disservice to fans watching ND once again being put in a high profile game they didn't earn, then witnessing their predictable non-competitiveness. This was like a fight between Mike Tyson and Michael Jackson.

As an Alabama fan I like it too because it usually means an easy win for the Crimson Tide.

That first play makes me chuckle every time.

I can’t watch it because I love watching the 2012 beat down so much more! This was ND slowing the game down so they wouldn’t get embarrassed again. There were about 5 SEC teams that would have beaten ND. Take away the 'ND' logo and there's no way either this team or the 2012 ND would have ever been in the playoff conversation. The NC runner up honors should go to the Florida Gators. They're the only team that not only gave Bama a close game, but came within a couple of key plays of beating them.

Ian got booked at the end. Called a timeout with 1 second. BAMA laid his silly ass out. BAMA showed these clowns again. 48-14 in 2012. Now 31-14 and it wasn't even close. BAMA dominated and played several young players starting late in the 3rd quarter. Imagine that BAMA cruise the score could have been 49 to 14. Easily.

ND and Bama have met 8 times. Bama has won the last two meetings and three of the last four, but not the last three in a row. Bama won 28-10 in 1986, ND beat Bama 37-6 in 1987, Bama won 42-14 in 2012 NCG, and Bama won 31-14 this past year. After the first four games played in the series were very close(1973, 1975, 1976, and 1980)Interesting that all the last four were blowouts.

Hyped for Bama players to play under Reese’s offense. Tho Ty Simpson is a dual threat QB, if Jalen Milroe wins the starting job by becoming a better passer then he could be a Heisman finalist in this offense. Dude can run like a cheetah. I always liked the ND running back that started this year and Justice Haynes is very similar to style. Jase McCellean has great hands and can make defenders miss but is more of a bruiser. To put up 45 against a Brent Venables Clemson defense as a first year OC is impressive

I don't know. I think Notre Dame's plan was to slow the game down all along. They kept the ball away from Bama's offense like no team Bama saw all year. I think it made the score closer than the actual difference between these two teams.

ND ran their mouth down in Miami but Alabama 2012 prevailed. Of course they did. Having Priest is not very helpful. We know what priest do.

But they went on to blow out Ohio state 52-24 . 31-14 if we had an offence we probably could have won. Same with the Clemson year 34-10 beat the breaks off bama 44-16 but no excuses we got our ass kicked. It’s the nd effect though.

So both Clemson and Alabama kicked ND asses last year then after that embarrassment playoff they had they left the ACC AND WENT BACK INDEPENDENT 🤔 gose to show you they never deserved to be even considered for the championship let alone playoffs.
