And during his play he cleans the piano from dust with his hair. GREAT:)
Who the fuck gave this a thumbs down? That was played like a boss. Some people don't have ears.
Personally, I prefer the E-flat version, it makes it a little darker sounding. I included both keys, because on my Pianotarium CD, it's in E minor, but in this video (and most of my live shows), I perform it in E-flat minor. Metallica tends to do the same; they tune down one semitone for most their live shows (probably to help save James' voice on long concerts).

Awesome job, Scott! I've heard this song thousands of times on a solid 20+ different instruments, and the piano ones often do the best job of capturing the emotion of the song - your cover was certainly no exception to that trend. I enjoyed this very much. 🤩👍

Egypt walker Great! In Hindu belief ,we believe that what baby's mom hear and learn during pregnancy has far reaching effect on how babies will turn out to be. Good thing, you heard this while you were pregnant.
There are people who listen to music . There are people who are just looking for fails . Verily those who are doing the first thing.
Still listening to this after years. It gets me every time. So powerful, intense and emotional. I always get chills all over my body. Best piano piece and musician of course! ✨🌹🎶😍
Finally, someone who understand the metal in a piano. Respect
I still listen to this cover 16 years later....
I have been listening to several other piano covers of this song for years and have attempted my own version and this is by far the best cover out there period.

if a song could save the world, this guy could write it
I love this. Everything about it is perfect. The way he plays it, the timing, the cover is PERFECTION
It’s interesting how this song by Metallica was never a really big hit when it first appeared, but over the years it has now exceeded one billion views on YT! Truly amazing! It has also inspired lots of cover versions. This version is very enjoyable. I would also like to recommend two of my favourite covers. One by Mattrach on guitar which starts slowly, then builds up the tension before exploding in a 'heavy metal' finale. The other is by Frank Peterson's 'Gregorian'. It’s startingly different, but my favourite. Over 11million views on YT.
isnt it nice that we all are from different parts of the world but are all united here in the comments under this masterpiece
GENIUS!
The best piano version of this song i've ever heard. Actually one of the best piano peaces at all.

Classic music, the grandfather of metal. Shown by a artist on a classic instrument.
He plays with so much feeling, no wonder he is very popular.

To all the haters here. I would like to see how many of you can actually play the piano. And if you are even better than this amazing guy here, then congratulations, you win the fucking internet. Nobody is born playing the piano, so shut ya faces. This guys is sensitive and he plays beautifully, no matter how many Beethovens are watching this video.

+Alexandrescu Maria true words... i can play piano, imo i play well... and i dont even criticize mistakes of him... maybe because i am so angry to not be such flexible such like some players (e.g. jarrod radnich) who can jump on piano and always hit the right key, lmao... but anyway, if not a 'real' player criticize, nobody should, i agree to u :)

VorTeX You don't have to be a master chef to judge whether your food is good or not, do you?
I quit playing the piano when I was 14, after failing my first grade exam for the 3rd time. About 3 months after I quit, I saw this video and decided that I wanted to be like Scott. That was over 5 years ago. Today, after countless hours of practice, I uploaded my cover of Scott's arrangement of "Nothing Else Matters". It would make my entire life if he could see it and know how much he affected my life - I've been signed by an entertainment company now and am currently working on a song list

I like this song very much, it is a song can touch my heart. love it, and the piono performence is good and perfect
From something which is seen by many (wrong people) as being an "extreme metal" song to something which can be appreciated by everyone in its full glory and awesomeness. Just brilliant. Well captured and beautifully performed. Metallica are one of the greatest bands which ever lived and probably the greatest band which are still alive today!

Just play slower and it will be perfect. Too many emotions for such song, playing slower will give it more power and weight and will make it less "fancy".
