    What the fuck Did I just see a lovable robot sidekick get brutally beaten to death with an axe as he begged for mercy by the fucking mafia?

    Corrections: 1) He didn't die, he got his revenge! 2) He's the main character, not just a sidekick. 3) They're not mafia, just thieves.

    There's a little bit of Johnny 5 in every male Argonian in Skyrim. The voice actor for Johnny 5 also voiced all the male Argonians in that game.

    Spring Coil Ah man, I never shall the scene (or the movie) until this review. This is possibly some of the most traumatizing crap you could make a kid watch (that wouldnt have you locked up). I kind of torn up about the way he kept saying "Im alive" as they continyed to beat him mercilessly. Thats really messed up.

  • @TheBelieveit1

    @TheBelieveit1

    8 жыл бұрын

    Supreme_Red_Dalek_ Of_Doom! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHA! You mean that Macs come standard with the same stuff while you can build your own PC to be not only as capable but even superior for less than it costs to actually buy a Mac. Not only that but should your Mac break down, you essentially have to purchase a brand new one where as with a PC all you have to do is pay for a new part which is vastly cheaper. And you can use third party hardware on your PC, even to the point you can use anything that you could for a Mac where as with a Mac you have to purchase only other Apple products cause they're incompatible with anything else. PC's are faster, greener, easier to upgrade, more versatile and cheaper. Also, do you know WHY PC's get more viruses? Because more people use them. Why waste your time creating a virus that won't spread? Not to mention it's already bad enough that that person bought a Mac, why pour salt on the gaping wound? XD And there's just a little thing called an Anti-Virus software which does wonders. Let's face it, you're just buying a sleek looking paper weight that's so insecure it has to claim it's better than the competition when at the end of the day, PC's are better.

    Remember when movies were fun and enjoyable? Man, those were the days. BTW, the only reason why that beat-down scene is so brutal, is because we the audience actually care about the character. Remember what that feels like, watching a movie where you actually care about the characters? For all their flaws, these movies were fun to watch, dont sell them short.

    Fisher Stevens playing Ben isn't racist any more than Robert Downey wearing blackface in "Tropic Thunder". Neither are malicious portrayals, so relax.

  • @DeeCross

    Except Robert Downey Jr wearing blackface in Tropic Thunder *was* racist. The only reason people *sometimes* give it a pass is because the movie was explicitly using it to show that the practice is incredibly insulting *regardless* of lack of malicious intent.

    Moviefan2k4 Yeah, funnily enough it doesn't actually work like that. Even if you somehow can come up with a 'respectful' form of the act of 'playing a different race' (which you can't because of the specific history of blackface) then you've still performed racist casting by deciding a white person in make-up was better for the role then a person of the correct ethnicity.

    Dee Cross No. It does work that way. You see, we accept it JUST FINE when the skin color is the same, but the country of origin is not. Alan Rickman, Sean Connery, Milla Jovovich and so on. Nobody complains then. Why? Because the actors in question handle the performance so damn well. It only seems to matter some of the time, usually when the role in question is of someone of a darker shade of skin color. If the actor wanted to play the part and the casting department thought his particular performance was right for the job, then that is their fucking choice, and it is not racist.

  • @DeeCross

    OpenMawProductions Okay, so. Let's ignore the *horrible* stereotype that the character of Ben is and just break this down for you because you seriously do not understand. The casting department for these two films *literally decided that a white person could play an Indian man better than an Indian man*.

    This is one of those times where the NC talks shit, and comes off as an asshole. Yes Howard's character is played by a white guy, but aside from having a heavy accent I don't see how it's overly racist. Especially when the characters name is Howard but Critic is sitting there calling him Apu and Hanji. That's fucking racist lol

  • @actionjackson3522

    It's racist because there were actual Indian actors who could have played the role. And NC is naming Indian characters from other films, who were similarly played by White people.

But the second one, yeah when he is beaten up? Whoa, almost as evil and eye-watering as the scenes with Gizmo in Gremlins...kids-movies back in the days really had some dark streaks now and then, didn't they?
