Norwood LM29V2 / LM30 sawmill assembly / Winch shaft and winch drum assembly Pt. 4

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Continuing on with the Norwood sawmill assembly. I cover the winch shaft, winch shaft cable assembly, winch drum assembly, and adjustment. The next video will cover the emergency stop switch and wire connections, push handle installation, blade tensioner, and bandwheel adjuster assembly to finish up section C of the instructions manual. Make sure to watch all my videos in the Norwood LM29V2 / LM30 assembly process to keep in the know.

Hey good morning Mile how are ya? Yep I’m thinkin you have the best assembly video on KZread! When I start my mill assembly I’m gonna watch through your videos again. Our mill are really similar so this is gonna help me a lot! Hey so what kinda trees y’all have there? Are ya gonna make tables and furniture? Are ya gonna make a solar kiln to dry your slabs and lumber? Thanks for making these videos. Have a great day

Hello from out on the mountain! Thank you so much for all your compliments. They sure make doing the videos worth the effort. We Have Native Short Leaf Pine ,a few white pine, Post Oak, Hickory, Black Jack Oak and some Red Oaks on our place. I am planning to build a solar kiln in the future for sure and I would like to get into the table and furniture stuff but that is to be determined. Definitely videos I would like to make though. Im am so glad you find my Videos helpful. Hope they ease the assembly processes.

@@MountainMike01 Hi Mike sounds like a lot of Variety of trees to chose from. The first things I gotta build are storage sheds got lot of junk to get out of the snow! Hehehe. I was thinking of building the solar kiln on a flat bed trailer, that way I could move it as the sun moves through out the year. My land is north facing slope so gotta move to we’re the sun will be on it the most. In my area we are getting hit by the bark beetle it killing lots of pine trees. I hope the temps in the kiln will sterilize the wood. Any way I’m really looking forward to assembling the mill, but first I have to rewire my old Jeep cj 5. I hope to have the mill done before the snow flys. Have a good one Mike and looking forward to the next video.

HA, I know all about trying to store junk. Love the idea of the solar kiln on a trailer. I am on a south facing slope but that ole sun sure moves from winter to summer so it would be great to be able to move one to suite. No good about the beetles. I too have an old 4-runner that needs rewired. Snow fly seems to come earlier each year. lol Take care Buddy

@@MountainMike01 you to be safe. Oh I gotta say. Im having a hard time thinking of a good catchy name for my channel I want to start. I left the Sf Bay Area and retired to the woods, to get away from the crazies in the city. Any way have a good one. Oh about that crank handle drum choker cable be a wear item. I think when I get more dough I’ll order the wear items so I’m not stuck on a job and have to explain to the customer why I can’t finish his job. That would not be fun!!

The channel name is most definitely a hard thing to come up with. Good luck lol. I absolutely agree with you about the wear items on the sawmill. They are something I plan to do a video on in the future so be looking for that.

That sounds like the cable tension is too great on the winch crank.
