The scene is an image from the 1972 film Cabaret with Liza Minelli, about the rize of Hitler except it is the fascist EU (Fourth Reich) now. "Little psychopath"? There are many of them in the EU. One of them is a Scholz-opath ready to wage war "against Putin" while the last Ukrainian is alive. From mustaches (even Angela Merkel once had them) to uniforms, rockets, ("brotherly aid to Ukraine from the West"), "trans clothes" or whatever it's called, bearded men in skirts (one of which from Austria has already won the Pride Song Parade organized by Eurovision). Putin is a declared opponent of that trans and perverse behavior. Now, what kind of criticism of Putin is that? The author of the song managed to say much more than he wanted to. He exposed the ideology and hypocrisy of the fascist EU and the West in general. Lenin written on the forhead of guy holding missiles? Marxist-Leninist are ruling EU. They formed cartel of buyers who want to decide on price of Russian oil and gas. What kind of market economy is that? Leninist. This is as much criticism of Putin as the nurses' strike in England is support for Putin's policies. A tractor? In 1995, Croatia expelled over 200,000 Serbs. They fled on tractors strewn with bombs. Ukrainian politicians also want Donbass and Crimea, but without the Russians, whom they have repeatedly called subhumans. Nothing to lough about, шч.

This song is a masterpiece. This is like rock opera piece and it's also a satire -ŠČ is letter of russian alphabet. In croatian alphabet Č is 4th letter and Š is 25th letter and then we have 25+4=29 and 29th letter in croatian alphabet is now notorious letter Z so ŠČ represents Russia. Mama is here because Russians like to use word "motherland" when they talk about their country so Mama ŠČ is mother Russia. -"Mama kupila traktora" means mom bought a tractor which is reference of Russia buying/bribing Belarus because "Belarus" is the most popular tractor brand in Belarus and the country is famous for it's agriculture. Some even say that it represents Lukashenkos bithday gift to Putin because he gave him a tractor as a present. -"Mama ljubila morona" is pretty easy to get. Its a refrence that Mother Russia loves a moron that is Putin or any other dictaror that Russia had in it's history -"Armagedon nona". In part of Croatia where this guys are from nona is grandmother. Grandmother of Russia is of course Soviet Union which was always a threat to the world with armagedon (cold war etc.) -"Mali podli psihopat" and "krokodilski psihopat" is a reference again to Russian psychopat dictators, while crocodile is famous drug in Russia that makes you look like zombie -Tha fast part after minimalistic intro is actually distorted croatian alphabet and it represents chaos that war is. Some say it represents the falling of Soviet union or even forming now a new one under the letter ŠČ (meaning Z). -Guy with rockets have NJINLE written on his forehead which represents Lenin (in croatian: Njinle=Lenjin when you change places of last 2 letters and put them in front. Changing letters in word is actually part of croatian slang especially in the part of country from where LET3 comes from) -They are wearing military uniforms but with bright colours because they are mocking Putins or any other dictators homophobic views while some other people say it represents the true chaotic personality of any dictator. LET 3 are very famous in Croatia and well known for their anti establishment songs (they even have "Anti Valentines day" concert on Valentines day. They are punk rock band with very provocative lyrics and performances. Their trademark are fake moustache and wacky costumes and of course something sticking out of their asses, they even had live sex in one of their older music videos which is now removed from youtube in song Tazi Tazi. The thing is they are normal guys when not performing. Lead singer even got biggest croatian music award called Porin for making children song album. They are not here for the win, they are here to send a message and they already won with all the hype around their song because it's made to provoke people. They said in an interview that they are happy about going to Liverpool because they heard that they have better drugs there and that people in England wipe their ass better than in Croatia so they want to learn from them XD.

Another thing about song. The beggining is calm and peacefuel but it gives impression like something is brewing, then shit hits the fan in the fast distorted part and right after that the lyrics first go: Mama, mama, mama ja se idem igrat (mom, mom, mom i'm going to play) Mama, idem u rat ( mom i'm going to war). "Igrat" (play) and "rat" (war) rhymes in croatian so it's a wordplay but it can aso represent how young boys who are not ready for war are thrown into it by politicians and it is the only time the singer mentions the word "play" in a song After that he uses only word "war" to the end of the song, so it can represenent the start of the war. Next part of the song where he mentions psychopat and crocodile is the war itself. I imagine it like soldiers cursing their leaders in trenches by calling them psychopats and then the last part of the song where the chorus is introduced into the music and guy with rockets comes out is the finale, the end of the war by total destruction. This is just my personal interpretation of the song.

The funniest thing now is the massive east/west divide among Europeans in understanding and appreciating both the song and the visuals. Eastern Europeans recognise immediately the visuals that evoke Soviet propaganda posters, Staljin and Lenjin, references to Russia, dictators, crockodile tears (dishonest expressions of sadness) and/or the drug Krokodil... Westerners mostly focus on outfits, see Hitler instead of Staljin and are completel baffled by the rockets. Germans are in the middle 😇. I love reactions so much that I don't care if they get disqualified or win the ESC 😂 The reaction from you guys is so beautiful because it demontrates this divide simultaneously - such a cross-cultural gem. Btw, for some reason, Spaniards react the same way as Easterners - civil war history lessons made them more sensitized to this imagery?

Cute and genuine reaction - thanks. As this is anti-war song and it contains a lot of messages, I'll reveal the meanings of titles on the rockets. One is relatively easy - njinle is a play of letters and if you switch "njin le" you got lenjin. The same is written on the forehead of that guy. On the other rocket is written PAJČU. First the same play of letters "PAJ ČU" --> ČUPAJ. This is written on Croatian and the meaning is "pull out" ... so the opposite of pull out is "put in" ---> Putin 🙃

In their performance, it is demonstrated with a mix of very different music styles accentuated with a Croatian alphabet and visualized through the fast rotation of very different pictures. So, they basically put whole thing/rhythm into a popular Istrian folk song "trajna nina", that's why whole song revolves around that rhythm. "Let 3" band is from Rijeka, a city in Croatia close to Istria. 2nd thing is their outfit and performance. this could be their usual outfit (we're used to it in Balkans ever since they started performing) but this exact outfit is representing a dictator, especially Stalin (not Hitler like some ppl mentioned!). Stalin killed a lot of his own ppl in Soviet country, like Putin is doing now in Russia! that's the point. this whole song is about anti-war, anti-Putin (not anti-Russia). next thing is song title "Mama ŠČ", ppl correctly assumed it's "Š" letter (number 25 in Croatian alphabet) and "Č" letter (number 4). you combine those 2 letters you get letter Z (29th letter). so "Mama ŠČ" is actually "Mom Z" aka Mother Russia. next are all the lyrics. so "Mama kupila traktora" - mom bought a tractor, meaning (probably) Lukashenko gifting a tractor to Putin, meaning Belarus agrees to being Russia's ground for military training and everything else, aka Russian's bitch. next one is "Mama volila morona" - mom loved a moron. this basically means Putin is/was in power for decades and noone in Russia could do anything about it, which is true. "trajna nina Armageddon nona" basically revolves around the fact that this whole song is made from that folk song >>my 1st sentence pullout ---> probably meaning PUTIN since it's backwards (play of words). so this masterpiece of a 3 min song is still being understood fully, with lots of help from my fellow Croatian boys and girls, and there's maybe even more to uncover, since band didn't tell us anything.

Thanks for explaining the "trajna nina" lyric, that adds yet another layer of meaning to the song. BTW the 'Krokodilski psihopat' lyric is probably a reference to comments made by UK EX prime minister Boris Johnston who on several occasions said of a meeting "Negotiating with Putin is like dealing “with a crocodile when it’s in the middle of eating your left leg.”

This is a superb rock-opera anti-war parody with powrful visuals. Tractor is a reference to Belarus president Lukashenko's birthday present to Putin. In the song Putin is described as a "vile little psychopath", the vocalist represents Stalin, and the guy with nuclear rockets has NINLE on his forhead (word play: Nin-Le=Lenin) and is dressed in monk's outfit, like Rasputin. Insertion of a dominant, sinister, dark Lenin, who came way before Putin, points to a much deeper problem. ’Trajna nina nena’ is Croatian song for little kids; ‘Trajna nina armagedon nona’(grandma) speaks for itself. Mama ŠČ is a metaphor for Mother Russia (ŠČ is a letter unique to Russian alphabet), and crocodile is a terrible drug popular in Russia, that makes people act like zombies. Guys are dressed in military uniforms but in pink and bright colors and are wearing dresses; making fun of all warmongers and military establishments, proponents of chaos. Side image shows roses sticking out of their asses. Proposterous, or superb description of the present time? Main exclamation is ‘mama idem u rat’- mommy (Russia) I am going to war, a cry against the forced mobilization and sending young people to kill each other.

I found this comment under another 'reaction video' and I think it sums up everything nicely: NJINLE = LENJIN "As a Croat who understands lyrics, I would also like to provide an additional interpretation of the first two verses. So the first verse goes "Mama kupila traktora", and it actually doesn't literally decode to Lukashenko buying a tractor to Putin, but to Russia "buying"/bribing Belarus and establishing control over Belarus. That's because "kupila" translates to "she bought". Also, беларус (=Belarus) is the best selling model of tractor in Belarus, and this makes the parody more more apparent. This interpretation is important for understanding the second verse "Armageddon nona", which is harder to understand. "Nona" in Croatian means grandmother. So if "mama" = Russia, then "nona" = "Soviet Union". This makes more sense if you consider that Russia "bought" Belarus, and has now transformed itself into new Soviet Union who wants to be an empire (armageddon nona). Finally the nonsensical spelling of alphabet letters in the middle of the song actually represents unification of (Soviet) states into new Soviet Union, which is now represented with a new symbol "ŠČ". Also "ŠČ" is parody of letter "Z" which you can now see on Russian tanks deployed in Ukraine. Despite being punk rockers, Let 3 are known in Croatia and ex-Yugoslav states for their unique punk rock style and deep symbolism. Their main member Mrle also writes texts for theatre plays, which is also worth pointing out. So the whole performance must be taken into account while interpreting it, because this isn't a song you can listen to on radio, but a mini opera that makes a parody of horrors of totalitarianism Krokodilski psihopat - crocodile is a very widespread drug in Russia which turns people into zombies and was also used by Boris Johnson to describe Putin"

Even we - croats, who understand the language had hard time understanding the message and full meaning of this song. At the first hearing we all said what a rubish but after just few hearings we noticed that there is a huge twist! Members paid attention to every small detail - scene, cosplay, music, lights and lyrics. It is fckn masterpiece because you hate this song at first but you cannot not love it at the end! They are actually playing with our minds on provocative and satirical way and send strong message to stop this madness and war! And the rhytm is very catchy! "Some could compare this song with a bohemian rapsody or monthy pythons" The hidden message is #stopthewar - but on very satirical and provocative way. Let3 is "special" band They have more votes against them in croatia because of their provocative way of singing (they are always singing naked, with roses in their rearparts, rude words in their album's titles...funny thing is that they have been selling completely empty albums - and even sold 350 copies of empty cd :D or publishing only one copy of an album...so as you can see...not an ordinary bend at all). 1. In this song, tractor is a reference to Lukashenko's birthday present to Putin. Belarus is also manufacturing tractors. 2. Mama ŠČ is a metaphor for Mother Russia. ŠČ is a russian letter. Some says that mama represents Lukaschenko (he loves moron - putin) while granny (nona) represents Lenjin while armagedon is reference to cold war nukes. 3. Putin is described as a "vile little psychopath". But Mother Russia or russians support him (mama loved a moron). 4. He is crying crocodile tears (boris johnson's words) for russian dead soldiers - meaning he doesnt care about them. Or it could be about russian drug called crocodile meaning that this psychopat is on drugs. 5. The vocalist represents Stalin, and the guy with rockets has NINLE on his forhead (wordplay:Nin-Le=Lenin). 6. The meaning of the lyrics is kinda obvious now: "Mama bought a tractor" "Mama (meaning Russia) loved a moron (meaning Putin)" "That little psychopath (W-w-war, war) Little, vicious psychopath (W-w-war, war) Crocodile psychopath (W-w-war, war) Mama, I'm going to war" All in all - this song is trolling Putin and russians but also asking for a world peace. 7. BUT what makes this song perfect is that it doesnt stop on lyrics...they have full performance! As you noticed they have cosplay like soldiers...at the beginning at "bohemian rapsody" part the vocal is turning around like a doll enjoying madness (putin) while his fellows are lying dead on the floor (his countrymans). Also the end with a roses in their bums sends powerfull message about peace, but again, on the only possible way for let3 - provocative way! After all, the thing i like the most about this song is that is jumps from the worst song ever to one of the most powerfull songs! And maybe it is just me but i love when someone tricks me this way :D #Stop.the.war! #hope.we.wont.see.another.bomb-drone.in.croatian.capital.after.this 😅

The Russian alphabet letter Ŝ is pronounced ŠČ [sh-ch] and exists only in the Russian language. This is Let3's song about Putin's ("Mother") Russia, the most appropriate aesthetic-musical Croatian answer for the Eurovision song to the current Russian aggression. So let's decipher the text a bit. "Mama" is constantly repeated in the song: "Mama bought a tractor, Mama loved a moron" ... "Mama" as Mother Russia, and Belarus (Belarus) is a model of a tractor... Mother Russia bought a Tractor (Belarus) from which the aggression was also launched, and from which evil also spreads (similarly, they have been "buying" whoever they can for years ... By the way, Putin recently received a tractor from Lukashenka for his birthday). In short, Mother Russia loves a moron - Putin - a little crocodile psychopath, who threatens armageddon, for which the little man goes to war. Krokodil is a drug that was popular in Russia that turns people into zombies, just as he turns his soldiers into corpses. That's roughly how Let3 see it lyrically, the only ones on the Croatian scene who sang in a symbolic and sarcastic way about Russian aggression, which is shaping the fate of Europe. The bald guy with nuclear missiles is Lenin. Putin is "an example of a braggart who thinks the planet is his toy." CROATIA STANDS WITH UKRAINE 🇭🇷❤️🇺🇦

Č (Russian Ŝ), Let3's song about Putin's ('Mother') Russia, is the most appropriate aesthetic and musical Croatian answer for the Eurovision song to the current Russian aggression. So let's decipher the text a bit. 'Mama' is constantly repeated in the song: 'Mama bought a tractor, Mama loved a moron'... 'Mama' as Mother Russia, and Belarus (Belarus) is actually a tractor model... Mother Russia (sub)bought a Tractor (Belarus) from which she also launched aggression, and from which evil is also spreading (similarly, they have been 'buying' whoever they can for years ... By the way, Putin recently received a tractor from Lukashenka for his birthday). In short, Mother Russia loves a moron - Putin - a little crocodile psychopath, who threatens armageddon, for which the little man goes to war. That's roughly how Let3 see it lyrically, the only ones on the Croatian scene who sang in a symbolic and sarcastic way about Russian aggression, which is shaping the fate of Europe. Recently, in one of the interviews, when they appeared in a TV studio with rockets with "Lenin" written on them, they said that Putin is "an example of a braggart who thinks the planet is his toy." That's what the band from the left spectrum is saying, while many others are silent! And as for the other songs, mostly rather empty and worn-out lamentations about the sufferings of love... and for that it is better to open 'The Sufferings of Young Werther' There is also the monk symbolics with the nukes and anagram of Lenjin on his forehead. The nukes is clear: Armageddon. Lenjin is the founder of Soviet Union and Putin is known as someone who always regretted that Soviet Union was dissolved, he wanted to reestablish it. That's the reason for the war against Ukraine: Without the second largest country, Soviet Union can't exist. So far the meaning of Lenjin. But there is more, the monk in black apparently represents Rasputin. Read carefully: Ras-Putin. What this means? Putin means "the man who is on the (right) way: "Put" in Russian. Like e.g. Jesus is the way to God for Christians: "Ich bin der Weg" in German. So Putin is the way for the Russian nation, their saviour. While Ras-Putin means the exact opposite. The part "Ras" in Russian means destroying of what is represented by the word following Ras. Like in Ras-kolnikov from Dostojewskis famous novel. It means to be devided in itself, a shizo. So what Let3 wants to say: Putin, the (right) way, has chosen the (wrong) way of destruction (nukes, Ras-Putin) following the (wrong) idea of resurrection of Soviet Union, represented by their founder, Lenjin. The song is full of symbolisms and hidden citations. That's just one of them.
