If they think there is so much in the US military MRE, don't bring them french military 😂 Our MRE is very complete, it's almost the size of a shoe box and it contains everything to eat all day long (Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner). We also have so much variety of menu and so much variety of food inside.

All north Korean defectors are required to learn the South Korean way of speaking before they are finally able to return to S. Korea (if they choose Korea as their home after their escape, there's a whole documentary about it)

They are NKs that escaped to the South. They are some of the bravest people to go through that.

There is definitely a lot in the American MREs, but, at least during my service in Iraq, we normally only got one a day. That is, when we weren't outrunning our supplies, and, having them blown up by the damn Fedayeen.

I used to watch EmmyMadeInJapan try every MRE she could get & I loved them lol. This should be interesting.

If you are not well-fed you are going to be weak and sleepy all the time, how are you supposed to win any conflict, just going to be sitting ducks or get surrounded.

Norwegian MREs are some of the best Ive had.

I remember back in school... late 80-s early 90s, i think it was the Desert Storm / Gull War, they had brought MRWs for us to try at school. No where as good as those they tried, did not have the heater thing but they were weird, kinda mushy.

Yeah some of the earlier MREs were pretty dire, luckily the US puts a lot of funding into improving them and adding new menus every couple of years. The ones I tried in the 2010's were pretty good, apart from the coffee. I had a former US Army friend tell me the instant coffee was just for chewing in your mouth dry instead of heating up as a drink, to this day I can't tell if he was serious or messing with me.

When it comes to Australian army ration packs, the tortellini was always the one you wanted. The cheese in a can... not so good!

A real US soldier would know how to use the chem pack to heat up the mre.

MREs are technically a 3 day meal. They have over 3600 calories in each one. They are to sustain a soldier for a few days without having to carry much.

Did the American say he wasn’t military at the beginning?!?

American MREs are meant to be the food for an entire 24 hour period, and are very calorie-dense. The reason everything was packaged like that is so you can have portions of the MRE stashed away to eat throughout the day.

How is that cookies still intact?😅

If I had to eat the north Korean MRE every day, I would look forward to dying in combat, I guess that's the point.

I have eaten MREs and they are much better than its predecessor, K-rations aka "Kennel Rations" I think the MREs are mainly a dinner meal, and the main objective is to give you calories.
