I'm a parent and found it off, however if this was one of my babies, no...I couldn't have handled hearing God knows what. I will say I'm surprised the government/military didn't more insist, if it's legal. I know there were no marks on the body, he had several MRI's to see what was happening on the inside...not sure *all* the government or family know...but as a parent, I was bouncing it around my noggin. If he wasn't on a ventilator, I thought it different he passed within a few days of being home :( this entire situation is just heartbreaking...I agree, tho, seems odd. I don't think he should bluster is was chemical...someone said there are many ways to stop oxygen flow. A bag over the head...hell.another Dr mentioned an oxygen derivation chamber (Deadpool). I mean they know what happened...oxygen flow stopped and caused cardiac arrest. Not sure they neeedd an autopsy anyway being able to check/see everything in a persons body today, then again we only know what we're being told. I know DPRK refused to let the international medical people check him even once the whole time :(

No autopsy because they want the American public to believe fake news that his brain injury is from torture or poisoning, rather than the more likely cause: a botched suicide attempt by hanging.

Alfred E. Neuman I wouldn't say it's 'more'' likely at all. Interesting idea. not sure I see him having the time, means, privacy, and he was found in time to be 'saved' blah...they said there was no physical trauma to the body...when would he have attempted earlier or latter? I mean IF there was brain tissue erosion etc...I thought it odd he wasn't held in quarrentine for quite sometime...and that he came home via Alaska to his home state. We have/had a base in Germany with the best medical care overseas...I think most Americans have gone *there* before returning home...I assumed over the Pacific, no mention of Germany he landed in Alaska...and why did he pass 6 days after? I feel ya. The whole thing just struck such a chord. Supposedly the website all was scheduled thru made it sound Hella safe (fun even) for the Sicko's blaming the poor kid. Gotta love victim blaming. I actually *hope* you're correct. I really do. ☮️

Somehow the guy collected a lot of pills and he swallowed them all to commit suicide, and then while he was unconscious the North Koreans gave him more drugs trying to save him but they made the situation worse stopping his heart leading to low oxygen brain. When they realized the situation they decided to let him go because a half dead prisoner is useless for them, its better to N.K. to keep their american prisoners alive to negotiate UN sanctions and stuff. I think that´s why the parents don´t want an autopsy.

We don't know what caused Warmbier's lack of oxygen to cause him brain damage. It could have been a pillow over his face, unexpected reaction to a chemical, or a botched attempt at his own suicide. No matter what caused it, this is North Korea's responsibility.

I know he was young and just a kid, but nobody should have let him go over there. Jewish people do not religiously believe in desecrated the body after death, they also do not take blood infusions, or transplants. The only way a autopsy is done on a Jewish person after death against there next of kinds wishes is a judge has to think it's needed had enough to go against someone's religious request.

  • @krollpeter

Almost all medical acts that can help to save a person's life are permitted under Jewish law. However certain rules apply. Jewish law has no absolute prohibition of an autopsy, but it is not easy against the wish of the next of kinds. Unless the knowledge could help now or in the future to save a life. These rules do not sound unreasonable to me. The parents requested to remove the feeding tube, so they knew he had no chance. They requested to not perform an autopsy, so they know why he died.

If you are unable to comply or object, don't go there. Likewise, if you are unable to stay away from drugs don't come to Singapore. God of whatever name, shade or colour will not help you. It is sick Americans call their 10 year old boy a baby.

I would say a wire of some sort was attached to his foot, something else attached to his head then electrocuted which would have caused the teeth damage as he clamps down from the shock with no mouth guard plus the current damage and the injury to his foot. Hence stopping his heart and causing his brain damage.

I've wondered if his grieving parents, finding out there would be no recovery - no life...maybe they agreed to put him out of his misery when he got home. The doctors had said all his organs were working okay without assistance - just that he was a vegetable. With him in the "healthy physical state", breathing on his own, organs ok, he could have persisted for years...maybe they gave him more pain medicine that suppressed his breathing/heart. No autopsy, because it would have been found.

The Methodist church and the z society , should be asked what transpired between them . Also the criminal Trump , dumped OTTO when he said the truth about the U.S. government that has a long history of crimes against Humanity . They expect OTTO to be silent about those corrupted politicians , criminals of Washington. His family received the money that supposed to received from the church.OTTO was innocent and his error was to associate with criminals disguised as representatives of God and Jesus Christ . Korea , all Korea is also victim of the criminals of Washington. The people of Korea were victims of Washington twice , first they were giving as colony to Japan and second sliced in half and when they react there was a Korean war . The warmongers repeated all their crimes in Vietnam , Irak , Afganistan and many other places. American doctors have nothing to say , because they are part of the crime , they participated in the crimes . Forgot the school of the Americas that was in Panama and today it is in U.S. , school for assassins and torturers and terroristas.Without a toxicology report there is no proof of anything .OTTO a bright 21 years old student was a victim of this corrupted government because he wanted to help his family . He was a fighter .

    >North Korea gave Otto something to suppress breathing. But what is the purpose for stopping his breathing? Mr. Otto Warmbier was North Korea`s important hostage against the United States. Pyongyang regime wanted to use Mr. Otto Warmbier as a bargaining chip against Washington, and there was no reason for them to kill him. In fact, there were no signs of physical abuses on Mr. Warmbier`s corpse. My guess is that Mr. Otto Warmbier attempted to commit suicide (maybe hanging himself.) in despair. As a result, his brain was deprived of oxygen, and seriously damaged.

I’m going with the attempted suicide theory. NK didn’t know what to do, didn’t want to lose face, didn’t want him to die in NK. The fact that his parents didn’t want an autopsy speaks volumes IMO.

Lack of autopsy sadly leaves too many unknowns, unfortunately giving conspiratorial speculation free reign. I suspect maybe a suicide attempt but he was resuscitated post brain damage. Drunken student prank goes horribly bad in a nightmarish way beyond any normal comprehension.

This is so untrue and I'm shamed by this man for telling untrue facts. That boy had facial damage, wounds made from abuse and torture. He was in a vegetated state for well over a year. If you are going to use this to do a story get your facts straight!! This not was traumatized for something so stupid. Taking a sign off a wall is in no way ever a crime deserving of a prison sentence or torture. This is all about a dictator that will use abuse and torture to feed his self absorbed love of himself and to breed great in those left to the choices if this evil man. He is a terrorist, make no mistake about that. Any person not of that country will be abused, tortured, killed, starved, made to do hard labor for a minimal crime. Sickens me what happened to this young boy. Our government needs to step up and make this right in giving the family of this boy and this going man the justice they so badly deserve.

We don't know that he really tear off that poster, it could be the staff,it could be his friends. Just don't bring along your Americans way into other countries, respect the rules, don't try to challenge yourself. Stupid things give you stupid consequences.

Some people say that they don't want to hear about his cause of death because, if it was their own son, they wouldn't want to know the details. Maybe it's less scary to just not know. Maybe if you idiots would not repress such fears, no one would travel to north korea. Maybe it's better to just live under the fear. So I encourage anyone, dare to fear. Dare to fear for your fucking life because no one, ABOSULTE TOTALLY NO ONE, will fear for YOU. FEAR FOR YOURSELF. Maybe it's even more important than thinking for yourself. What is a life worth living under fear? The kind of life that you lose and get tortured at by NOT fearing. It is the FEAR that keeps human beings alive and flourishing! As I would rather spend another 1000 years afraid, than being tortured 1 second. Being tortured has never helped any progress into the human world, being tortured DOES NOT make you take action, will make you slower, will suck the life out of you. As a human race we OWN OUR LIVES for the people spending their time fearing. FEAR is the number one growth hormone for success. We can cry for the past, but we could damn well fear for the future, that is the thing. Imagine people fearing the holocaust? Imagine what kind of great tortures could have being avoided by fearing? people fearing for each other, rather than saying a stupid sorry after, THAT IS THE WORLD I WOULD WANT TO LIVE IN.
