Inside North Korea - life in the world’s most secretive state

The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has hailed the “invincible ties” with China during President Xi Jinping's two-day state visit. Ahead of the visit, we were allowed in to North Korea, where we were given a highly-controlled tour of the country. We were offered a rare glimpse of life in the secretive state, but seeing is not always believing.

Clearly not delusional about politicians high on cocaine, acid attacks and hourly stabbings, protected pedophilia in high society at home so he goes to rap about expressionless faces and dead statues on the other side of the world. How does the way they fart affect our day to day life? Sorry but the diversion tactics can only work for so long.

When he makes remarks to the people and tries to put them on the spot by asking difficult questions, what is he hoping for? That they slip up? In which case they could end up in a lot of trouble. Presumably he wouldn't want to put these people in danger. Why not ask questions study might actually answer. Ask them about how they spend their free time or about their hopes and dreams. They would probably be more open and it may actually reveal something. If you ask them if they have enough to eat them ofcourse they're going to lie.

@@ricky9051 The Uk may have one of the worst criminal records... but at least we don't execute people and starve citizens to feed 1 dictator who is already overweight. Our country is no were near the best in the world, but we are completely different than North korea. Also, I would like to ask, have you met any English people? If not I don't really think your point "North Koreans are much happier than English people" Is correct; in actuality its completely invalid as you have no evidence to prove it. Another thing I would like to point out, is how childish it is to use suicide statistics to make yourself seem superior. Suicide is a very serious topic and should be addressed properly. It should not, however be laughed at and exploited, in order to show off how good or bad any country is. referring to your first comment, I would like to point out that the definition of Democracy is as stated: "Democracy is a system of running organizations, businesses, and groups in which each member is entitled to vote and take part in decisions." This again, proves another one of your points is invalid, as since 1918 all members of the uk public have had the right to vote, and many independent businesses are operated throughout the country. Many campaigns exist in the uk that get people involved with the government and politics. For example, most cities allow the youth to take part in a "student youth parliament" allowing them to share their thoughts and issues they face in their community and for them issues to be resolved without judgement. Many of the parties in the country also contribute by setting up their own campaigns to encourage others to vote for them, as they are in need of the publics favour in order to win seats in parliament; again disillusioning your statement that the residents of the U.K do not or, are not allowed of, interacting with their countries politics and that the uk is not a democracy. Before ending this comment, I would like to finish off by mentioning the irony of the statement you made ( " look at yourself who you are before you criticize other countries" ) as after deciphering your last 2 comments, I have come to the conclusion that you instead; not the residents of the u.k; should look at yourself before you make any further judgements about our country, and should do some extensive research if you decide to make more comments like this in the future. Hopefully you are able to comprehend the details of this comment and englighten you on how wrong your comments were towards a nation of almost 67 million citizens.
