Seeing him out on the break flying to the rim was something to see and the Celts didn't have an answer for. He was like a race car leaving everyone in the dust off a pass from Magic or Kareem. Floyd had defeated Worthy for a state title in high school, but Worthy prevailed here. This is the game that elevated NCAA final four to March Madness. They we're the best team in the country and had they played to the capability they had played with in the weeks leading up to the final in that championship game they'd have run Carolina out of the Superdome by at least 10-15 points! They didn't play to that potential and let the Tar Holes off the hook! Donald Williams kept Carolina in it long enough but it should never have gone to the wire! I've always continued with that thought Michigan had the better team but they didn't rise to the level they had shown getting to the FF and against Kentucky in the semis

I believe that although they didn't have that available in March, the fact they had it benefited them and served them well during the NCAA's!
