In the last clip, I noticed there's a difference in the way Norm tells the Larry Flynt story to Conan vs Letterman. I feel like with Letterman, Norm saw him as more of a mentor and therefore didn't push the boundary as much around him. Letterman also quickly remarked "ok Norm.." hinting him to stop when he started imitating Larry Flynt. Meanwhile on Conan's show, he did that impression like three times (and it was hilarious). Shows that Norm Macdonald had a deep appreciation and respect for Letterman

Haven't come back to these since norm died. I still can't get over it, he pulled the ultimate norm move just disappearing like he always did. I truly loved norm, it hurt hearing the news, he was so under appreciated despite the outpouring of love the man cemented a place in comedy paralleled by very few others. I hope norm gets the last laugh and gets to tell oj that murder is in fact only legal in the state of California but still frowned upon up there.

Ever notice something about Norm? He not only told the joke, and one of the funniest parts of his humor was the delivery, but he so often showed how much HE ENJOYED it when someone he was talking too, or an interviewer such as Dave, got involved and enjoyed the joke WITH HIM. So he was like the comic that wanted to enjoy the comedy WITH YOU. He told the joke WITH YOU not just TO you--he brought you in to be PART of the joke with him. That's what I think was a huge part of his appeal. We were more a part of his comedy than just observers of it. He really had a genuine love for laughing WITH you. Very unique personality and so likeable you wanted to invite him in. He made you trust him while you enjoyed him. Would've made a great used car salesman (I suspect he'd appreciate that comment.) Thank goodness for videos like these, we can laugh and enjoy this for a long time still. Excellent job editing all this together. I'm in SEVERE PAIN I'm laughing so hard!! Awesome. 🤣😂😆 ~JSV
