    The world governments have seemingly given up on cracking the VPN or secured transmission layers, and have started moving toward forcing device manufacturers to introduce the government as a man in the middle on the device itself. There's not much the device manufacturers can do to stop this, since the government is who is making them do it. The governments dress this invasion of everyone's privacy up in "Think about the children!" speak, as usual. Rob Braxman talks about this a lot on his channel. He advocates that the only way around this massive intrusion to our privacy is to run a Linux based OS on our devices that is installed and configured by the user from known and trusted sources. Good luck with that, right?!

  • @AllThingsSecured

    @AllThingsSecured

    6 ай бұрын

    You'll hear tons of people tell you that "such and such" VPN shouldn't be trusted but "x and y" VPN can be. It's all security theater. Where's the proof? They do independent audits, but the real proof is whether or not they have information to hand over when requested by government authorities. I like Mullvad and iVPN, but calling them the "best" is entirely subjective in the same way that telling people not to trust Nord is subjective. The VPN world is cut-throat and people have strongly-held, mostly baseless convictions about it all.

  • @baptizeishere

    @baptizeishere

    6 ай бұрын

    @AllThingsSecured Good they do audits but that stays internal within the organization. If they do give logs / information to the government that definitely stays internal because of organizations reputation. Even if they refuse to share data with the government that stays internal as well , they won't share official conversation with the public . At best a vague public statement will be released, that they refused to disclose information, but still there is no proof in the end .In the end its all blind faith and hope they don't disclose your information.
