The NordicTrack EXP 7i Treadmill gets a big thumbs up from us at Treadmillreviews.com and is one of the best-rated treadmills at a $1000 price point. With so many features, you’ll find it an extremely well-outfitted treadmill--and the budget-conscious buyer will find this to be a great alternative to exercising outside or at the gym. Whether you’re a walker or a runner, you’ll enjoy the extra push from an iFit instructor. And with the ease of this foldable, durable machine, we think you’ll love this treadmill.
The EXP 7i comes with the bonus of a free month of iFit Family Membership. This subscription service can be purchased yearly and can handle up to four user profiles. If you like to follow a workout, iFit is the only way to go. There are no preprogrammed workouts onboard.
The features that come on this treadmill will make you take a second look at the price tag--in a good way.
The EXP 7i has a medium-sized 3.0 CHP Smart-Response Motor, which reduces vibration and is self-cooling. The max speed of 12 mph is standard in the industry, enough to suit most at home. The deck has FlexSelect Cushioning, which softens the impact to your joints by engaging dampeners, or you can simulate a real road-running experience by removing the cushioning.
This treadmill has a 300 lb weight capacity which is suitable at this price point. The incline range of 0% to 12% may be limiting to more advanced exercisers but won’t hold you back from getting your calorie burn. The NordicTrack EXP 7i offers a standard width deck at 20” W x 60” L but plenty of space for most to maneuver. The SpaceSaver® Design with EasyLift™ Assist allows you to quickly fold up the treadmill and stow it when necessary.
The 7” HD Smart Touchscreen is sufficient for streaming an iFit workout or to make settings adjustments. Using Bluetooth wireless technology, you can access an extensive workout library with iFit, create your own workouts, keep track of your stats, and tap into many other features. While in manual mode, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with just a touch of a button. As you exercise, the console will display instant exercise feedback. You can even measure your heart rate using a compatible heart rate monitor.
Love choosing your own music or audiobook to listen to while working out? You can do that by connecting to the console speakers via Bluetooth. Pairing your device is quickly done in seconds. A real point of convenience is that you can pair up to eight different devices with the console so that multiple devices can connect without delay.
The console fan has multiple speed settings. Pressing the fan buttons allows you to select a fan speed from low to high or turn the fan on or off.
You may have a goal of burning fat, or it may be to strengthen your cardiovascular system. To get the best results, the key is to maintain a targeted heart rate during your workouts. With an optional heart rate monitor, you can continuously monitor your heart rate while you exercise.
Overall, we love the NordicTrack EXP7i. This is our pick for one of the best treadmills for about $1000. Click on the link to see current pricing for the EXP7i, and visit Treadmillreviews.com to read a more detailed and in-depth written review of the new NordicTrack EXP7i Treadmill.

Thanks, best and most complete review out there on this model! Looking at this option for indoor running. In your experience is this a good choice for 1+ hour runs? Happy holidays!
Thanks for the review. How do I reset this is factory mode
Thanks for your review
Excellent 👍
Would be nice if someone showed how to adjust the flex cushioning
Which treadmills have a softer surface and not too expensive?
I’m researching treadmills and trying to find a good starter one. I can’t really walk outside because of hot Alabama weather and usually work until 830 so it’s dark when I get home. I want to get in shape and lower my A1c & would also like to lose 60 pounds. Is this good for a beginner who is a couch potato?
Does it have cushion (soft) when running? Have bad knees and trying to find a tread that is comfortable..
How do I factory reset
Hi, congratulations for your videos, really fantastic. I'm undecided bro 1. EXP 7i 2. S25I 3.EXP5i 4.t6.6 5.T 5.5 S both walking and running 1 hour a day... I need a good shock absorber for my knees in order, which one would you choose? Thank you

The EXP 7i is my choice. Considering it's the only treadmill among these that's on NordicTrack's site (at least in the US), I would get the EXP 7i. Buying straight from the manufacturer helps ensure the warranty is honored.
Can you use it without signing up the iFit program?

Yes. I have their rowing machine and never have used the iFit.
What is the total width of the machine assembled. I have 36" entry door and stairway. I don't want to have to disassemble the machine every time I want to move it. Thanks.

The machine folds so it should fit. I don’t own one but I’ve seen videos of it being folded. I hope this helps.
Mine broke down in less than 2 years… currently trying to find the reset pinhole cuz I’m having white screen issues.

If you are unable to reset your treadmill, you can call NordicTrack. They will walk you through the process of fixing your machine. Hope this helps!
I just did some research and I recently bought a exp 7i treadmill and I noticed it runs a 3.0 Chp and I’m starting to wish I bought the exp 10i because that one runs a 3.5 I just finished high school and I ran cross country and trying to get back in shape and was wondering if the 3.0 Chp would be good for me to run an average of 5 miles a day sometimes 6 miles at maybe 7:30 pace to 7:00 flat pace. Edit: Not using it to race or anything just using it to stay fit mostly.. and was wondering if it’s possible to ad the 3.5 mortor onto the exp 7i

This treadmill is not suitable for a commercial setting. If you are looking for an iFIT treadmill for a commercial setting, look at Freemotion or Matrix.
