Noodle Journey Supplement Re-Review: Ramen Toppers Chashu Pork, Fish Cake, & Vegetable Mix (2024)
Noodle Journey is an episodic review series in which we learn all about instant noodle brands and products and then do a deep dive into the noodle quality, spice level, and overall flavor. All reviews are as thorough as possible. The noodles are cooked according to the manufacturer's instructions using only the contents of the product package unless otherwise indicated. This ensures that the review is as unbiased as possible and evaluates whether or not I think a product is worth a purchase either as a standalone meal or as a base that you could spruce up.
Here's a first for Noodle Journey: I reviewed the previous version of this product back in September 2023, didn't love it, and then was contacted by the manufacturer to inform me that they had greatly improved their recipe and ingredients. Did it work? I won't spoil it, but if you're interested in freeze-dried pork, fish cake, and veggies for your ramen, you're going to want to check out this review!

Hey, it was Ramen Toppers that fixed their product! I can't take credit for it, but I'm absolutely glad they did it.
They seem to be out of stock right now, but I'll be keeping a look out for these. I would also love to see a formulation with at least no corn, it's such a distinct flavor that I find never blends with instant noodles.

If it helps, I used an Amazon stock tracker plugin for Chrome in the past to monitor availability of Ramen Toppers. It's currently in stock as I write this, and it seems to come back every 2-3 days when it goes out of stock.

That's a good question. My default answer is that I'll review anything if enough people ask me, but I have been avoiding the Ramen Bae Beef variety for a few reasons: 1) I still have partially-finished bags all of six other Ramen Bae products in my possession and it's a bit daunting to add another one, 2) it's very expensive compared to the rest of their products, and 3) they're saying it's a limited run item, which means there might be no point in reviewing it if it's never coming back after this first run, because it may never be available again. You're actually the first viewer to ask me about it.
