George, thank you so much for sharing all of this with us. Sharing your videos with my wife got her into scaping and aquariums in general and she is a fanatic now more than myself. Your videos also converted a cousin, my mother and now I am sharing with my brother who I think would enjoy this as well. If you see adoption requests in the mail, it may be because there are not many in my family who is not a fan and your passion has invaded my family for the better. I feel that is due to how well you present without bias or I should say if you do show bias it is for valid reasons. Also you don't hide your excitement that every tank you seem giddy and ready to enjoy even the most tedious tasks. Again thank you and continue to share this passion you have with the world.

That’s a really cool tank. I’ve always been under the impression any type of carpeting plant needs CO2. Very cool tank!
George. I have to say man. This tank is incredible. Those ending shots were just absolutely beautiful! Love it!
Thank you so much for showing affordable, simple and beautiful scapes, too! Love seeing your creations
Love the B Roll and plant species info ,so calming and educational thanks George

Hi George. Been watching tons of aquascaping videos recently because my best friend gave me a 30 Gallon tank and I want to turn it into a planted aquarium. I’ve never my own aquarium before. When my father was alive he would try to keep some when we were little but none was a success. I now know why. Your channel has helped a lot and happens to be one of my favorites here on youtube. The scapes you feature are inspiring.
I think the green neons would look fabulous in the blackwater tank. I think a nice group of red or purple pencil fish would be a lovely and interesting to watch replacement.
Magnifico. Low tech and pearling. Magic balance.
Looking good dude. Easy a low maintenance. Just our style.
Great review/ update ,very detailed makes it a bit easier to try and duplicate . Thanks for all the info .. looks great
love your vids george so much.ur a legend.and thanks for introducing me to the aquascaper plant food i love it
Love it! The neons would give the black water tank a really nice contrast
Beautiful, George!!
Love the low tech tanks. Thanks for sharing! I know this is an older video BUT... we need more low tech info! Cheeri-O! - Little Bobby
Setup looks great! I'm working on a similar platform. Very easy to maintain! Yes .. put the Neons in the "black water". Why not? You already have them! Lol. Also wanted to add... the words you spoke about keeping a "slice of nature" in your home... spot on! Couldn't agree more. Thanks for the inspiration and content!

Hi Giorgio awesome work and update thank you so much for video..
This is what I have been wanting to do. I am working on setting up my space for it. I love how approachable you make this. My kids and I love watching and rewatching your videos. Since I have kids and a puppy I am looking for a small sideboard or small dresser to support a tank. Something with more support and weight to it. Hope to have something soon! Can't wait to get started!
You make some of the best videos George!

Thats a lovely set up, nice to see one so good without co2 😊
Hello George! I'm actually a big fan of green neon tetras and a big school of them would look awesome in the blackwater aquarium. For this aquarium, since there no red plants, maybe you could use some ember tetras or rubi tetras for a aditional splash of red other then the cherrys! Keep on scaping and the great videos!
Thanks for all you do for the fish keeping hobbies. I've been in the hobby since 2007 and I just started a planted tank and it is awesome. Thank you again for your knowledge.

Lovely little fish at the beginning of vid!
Great video George this really does show what can be achieved in any tank! You have now created a brilliant series of videos showing a step-by-step "how to" set up and maintain a superb planted aquascape on an entry level budget. For me this is exactly what a teaching channel is all about; encouraging and enabling people into the wonderful world of aquascaping.

Hello George - nice tank, nice work, nice video!
I have to say it is gorgeous as it is! I would not know how you could improve on it. I like the combination of Neon Green tetra fish and the red shrimp. I am really going to try and recreate this Non CO2, thank you so much George.
Such a great tank. Its something that everyone should try its affordable and achievable for any new aquascaper everyone should have a setup like this in their collection. Love the work your doing George keep it up mate. Have a great day.

one of the best budget scapes ive seen . I would love to see the tetras in the black water tank :)
Looks beautiful!
I’d leave the green neons in this tank. I like the idea of an “all green tank.” Just my opinion. I’m sure there will be many comments saying “move Them.” But I love the look of the tank as it is. Thanks for the awesome videos!.
Absolute beauty!
Hi George, I love the tetras and shrimp in this tank...I’m not for moving them to the Blackwater tank. I still like something that schools but is orange in color for your new Blackwater tank. Keep on scraping :o)
I nearly watch this once a week for motivation.

It's a good call to move the neons to the black water. For sure.
Your photography and videography skills are on point. Nice to see the plants grow so well. If possible you may get a Betta, I am sure he will enjoy the aquarium.

If you move the green neon then some ember tetra will add a nice variety in colour to the tank

It would take away from the scape I reckon embers
Celestial Pearl Danios would be excellent! Move the neons is my vote. They look great in dark water tanks.
Great video, inspirational
Really looking good George.

Wonderful job as always George. Just goes to show what can be achieved, with some knowledge. It also proves that you can still enjoy our wonderful hobby no matter what your budget. I truly hope this will encourage those people that are sat on the fence, to take that first step as I did. Because truly I've never been more happy and would love others to experience the feelings I have. You could move the neon green tetra over, but I still think that neon tetra and three bar pencilfish are the species for the black water tank would be better. Keep on scaping. As always thank you George for inspiring me to take that step.

I love the neons where they are. Maybe chili rasboras for the blackwater tank?
Great!👍:) To my mind the biggest advantage of this scape is, that you have wonderful Monte Carlo without trimming and sucking it out every few weaks! Also, i think sometimes that the leaves in no CO2 Setups are smaller, f.e. the Buce leaves, which looks better in small tanks.
Looking amazing george, loads of inspiration for those of us who arent able to do a high tech setup, i have a question though if you dont mind. What are your thoughts on using the tropica substrate as a base layer under tropica soil?
dang think im gonna save this one in my favorites and use this one in the future. been looking for no co2 and low maintenance one. this looks promising.
Keep them in the tank ☺ ps love the algae on the rock looks so natural
Awesome scape, so if you relocate the green tetras replace them with ember tetras, would stand out beautifully...
Keep Them in there George, They seems to like the tank alot😍 I Think you could go with emerald eye rasbora in the Black Walter tank, tight schooling fish and Their color will pup in the black water. Rachael O’Leary has a species spotlight on them. Keep on scaping
I'm inspired. Thanks
Very good idea to move neons to your black water tank. For this one, how about a bunch of galaxy rasbora and some female badis and one more male one. They seem to oçcure together in southeast Asia which is nice addition theme to your south American one. Maybe one blyxa japonica if survives would be very nice too. Thanx again for your nice job.
As always, great video content. Insanely pretty mix of carpeting in the foreground! Especially for a low tech tank. Hands down best aquascaping channel on the interwebs! I like the tetras in there, but if you do remove them, may I suggest replacing them with some galaxy rasboras? A small shoal would make a beautiful compliment to the shrimp you have in there. Keep up the great work George. I just can't get enough!

Love this little tank!!! You could put the green neons (or leave them!!--they look great!) into the black water tank and replace them with cardinal neons... their bright colors would explode on that beautiful green background!
Replace the neons with Celestial Pearl Danio. Love these little fish and are beautiful to look at.
The green neons look great in there. I put some sparkling gourami in my black water tank recently and they look stunning now they are a little older. The blue sparkles really show up well in the black water. Maybe try some of them?
You can replace the green neon tetra with Chili Rasbora. I did that for my tank, they live in harmony.
Looks great
Nice. I like it.
Thanks a lot for the inspiration George, at this point I really appreciate it, my brother ruined my aquascape by throwing a lot of soap and chlorine bleach into it, and I'm quite sad, keep on scaping, cheers
Good video George. Proof you can do it cheaply. Have to catch up on your videos, been away from KZread lately. Hope all is well.

Beautiful aquascape, very inspiring. Get some neon tetras for the black water>
Green neons look really happy. I'd leave them where they are.

The Tetras would look great in the black water tank. this tank could use some "high" body type fish or some endlers maybe.
Hey George, great videos - like always! I would move out the neons and get some Dario dario females. Your tank would be perfect for them to breed!

I'd suggest citrus tetras for the blackwater tank if you can get high quality ones they will look amazing👍
I really appreciate you making a non-CO2 tank. I'm a born again beginner and I'm thinking?? Whaaat why do I need CO2? I never needed it as a kid! So, I guess it's really just a matter of whether you want slow or fast growth. Demanding or not so demanding plants. Thank you for showing a beautiful no co2 tank!
I must make more time to play with small tanks ;)

Your tank looks amazing. Keep up the good work. :) Which species of cryptocorynes are you using?
I would put the green tetras into the blackwater tank and add some Danio margaritatus to the budget tank! I think they would look amazing and be a better contrast to those Cryptocoryne :)
Definitely put the green neons in the blackwater tank. Since this aquarium is dominated by the Asian crypts (and I'm always doing my tank as biotop(ish) tanks, I say go with a nice school of cherry barbs.
Beautiful scarlet badis
would love to see any of the dwarf rainbows (red neon especially) in a well maintained planted tank if it seems feasible.
Beautiful tank! The color of your shrimp is so much deeper than I’ve seen in other tanks. I wonder why?
I would vote to go with putting the green neons in the black water tank, their color would totally "pop" in that tank. I adopted my first Apistogramma that I have kept. He has a lot of personality and oddly is very photogenic! He is quite happy with a school of rasboras. I had no idea how many beautiful varieties of Rasbora there are. Currently keeping two species of them. I would vote to go with replacing the neons with Rasboras. Thank you so much for your videos. You have inspired me to be brave and aquascape and now I am on my way.. inspiring my friends with my planted tank lol

This is almost my dream livestock!!! Lol That is a beautiful set up. I have a 10 gallon that I planted heavily. But I think I didn't use a good substrate, at all. I currently have 1 otocinclus, 2 black kuhli loaches, 1 adf, 1 massive yellow snail, 1 nerite snail, 2-3 amano shrimp, 4 green neons (had 5 but one disappeared into thin air overnight ??), and 1 unknown fish (was supposed to be a green neon. And I have 10 yellow neocardinia shrimp on their way now. I'm really hoping that they will breed. My final goal is to get to 6 green neons (maybe 8). Of course, I may try adding more plants, at some point. The micranthemum "monte carlo" is absolutely gorgeous!
The Monte Carlo making a carpet is a wonder. I've seen other plant channels swear it can't be grown without Co2.

Moderate light, good soil and ferts, HEALTHY plant to star with 👍
I'd put the Tetra's in the blackwater, they always look good in that type of environment. Then get some dwarf puffers for the budget scape, 1 male and 3 or 4 females would work well in there. As a bonus you have fish that will eat all your pest snails
Neons are looking happy in this tank...
i would get the neons into the black water setup, you have so much vibrant green in the scape, get some fish with a nice red to contrast the rich plants

Hi George. The 'scape looks so good for non-co2...I can't believe that carpet!! Yeah move the Green Neons and get a big group of Ember tetras, their colour is so good and I've found them quite hardy. Can you leave a link to the Beamswork led (I'd like an upgrade on the led on my fluval spec 19l) Thanks KOS!
Amazing tank mate, very inspiring ! How are your cherry shrimp doing ? I noticed your doing large water changes with shrimp in the tank instead of dripping in the new water, just curious and also interesting to see this as usually it's a big no no from most shrimp exclusive videos I have seen ! Cheers
Hey George I'm using ur video as an inspiration to start my own low budget tank, please do let me know what ferts you are using to gt such lovely growth
I'd also like to see how they'd look in the black water tank.
i would leave the green neons in t here. but if you do decide to move them you could put cpds in instead
Outstanding as always mate,Dont think you realise how high Your setting the bar for us mere mortal fish keepers lol, thanks for sharing.Oh quick question what intensity should i be running my light on please mate,(it´s a blue marine maxled 160w) cheers
