OK, that's wonderful. But here's the mystery: Ray is using standard lights, standard fertilizers and no woodoo what so ever. Why is he so succesful with his plants? I mean, there must be thousands of aquariums using the same light and fertilizers and those tanks are miles apart from his. What's the secret?

Ask Ray... 👍 Hopefully he can reply soon.

Thank you for your reply. Perhaps there is some kind of magic in every tank. I have two identical tanks with the same routines, lighting, plants and fertilizer and yet one is doing much better than the other. Strange. Anyhow, wonderful tanks, congratulations!

@@pewe7314 Just my guess, but maybe is because some strain of plants in the same species are genetically better and stronger than others that made them thrive better?? Just like in agriculture. So I think luck plays a part here, it's like a lottery when choosing a plant from the store, along with diligence and hardwork of keeping the tank healthy. Maybe that's why different tank kept by the same person, and with the same effort, yields different results.

I’m curious what the parameters of the water are?
@flyingdutchman3582

I think It's balance. a Good lighting not to much not to long, nice waterflow, enough fertilizer, good filtration and some liquid co2, to cover the sharp edges if needed. All that and he just has alot of experience
Absolutely love tank 1. Amazing job for a low tech tank. You can see how much light fall-off there is on the edges, but obviously kept that in mind and positioned the plants appropriately.

No 1, The Leddy. Lovely use of light and shade.
Hi George beautiful tanks favourite is tank number 1. Like the plant selection and the way it’s scaped
Personally loved the first. I really loved how it transitioned from left to right of varying depths of vegetation then the nice open area for the lovely gups to swim about. Keep up the awesome work George and Ray!

That bed with the tank beside it, so gorgeous. ❤ all three are lovely
Love the Leddy. Such a relaxing tank with that perfect scape, great selection of plants, loads of variety in shapes and colour, plants filling one space and fish filling the open water, low lighting. I'd fall asleep watching that. And no CO2! Just stunning.

My favorite is the third scape. There is just something magical about that thick carpet of plants.
Hello, George The first aquarium deserves recognition because it is a very nice example of how a low-tech aquarium should look like. The landscape created by plants and live cast is the quintense of low tech. The third aquarium is a beautiful picture of how a small HT tank can look like. Both are beautiful but they present a completely different approach to aquaristics. Keep it up

Great scapes! Number 1 is my pick, the use of plants, and the low light casts the feel of a bookshelf light, which makes it kinda look like it’s not water. Just a neat effect
The cube tank was full of lush green plants, the lighting enhanced the scape even more, and the fish were active.
The LEDDY!! Because of that thick and healthy bunch of Anubias petite :). How he pulled that off with no co2 and very low light is amazing!
I like the second one the most because it is simple, low budget, and easy to maintain. It is also beautiful for sure.

Ray is a lucky guy. Beautiful home and beautiful tank! I love the first one most, because it is absolutely low tec and the anubias and bucefelandria are growing so nice in a natural way. I have two nano tanks with inside filters as well and this is very inspirational for the 3rd one ;)
I love the first tank. It's sleek and fits so well with the room. It doesn't over power it, but it is a wonderful accent and focal point. The plants are beautiful, the anubias shining and glossy.

Beautiful. The first tank was my favorite
No# 1 is my favorite, though all are beautiful. I love the fact it is a low-tech tank.
That first tank is gorgeous. Arrangement is great and I love the dramatic effect the lighting gives it.
3 beautiful tanks but my fav is the first leddy tank b/c of low tank..thnx Ray for sharing his talents
First one is my favourite. The tank shape and size and layout I really like and the plants he used in there was my favourite combination of the 3. Great video George

All beautiful.. His kid's tank is my favorite. Loving the petite and the buce!!👍👍👍Awesome Ray
I love tanks 1 + 2, 1 because its bushier on the left sloping down to the right. But it’s close, number 2 the best, I like how it looks like it’s layered from the top to the bottom, but I have to say all three tanks look amazing, The guy is an aqua scaping genius. 👍
looove the first one, wow I was floored when you said non-co2, the anubias and bolbitis look amazing for such a low tech tank.. ! clearly Ray isn't new to the hobby 😂 great video, George! 👍🏻

Thanks Lizzie. I couldn’t believe it when I saw them at first!
I liked the first one best, though they were all beautiful. The plant choice and arrangement really caught my eye, making a balance of mass and texture that was quite pleasing. The choice to set off the greenery with well-lighted cardinal tetras was a wise one. Now I have something to aim for with my own low-tech 57 liter tank.

I like the AquaEl Leddy tank. I love the plants in there, personal favourites plus it is a shining example of what can be achieved with a low energy setup.
Great to find an older video like this.Thank you for sharing! Stay Safe -
I like the 3rd tank in the guest bedroom. I like the open or negative space. Seems very peaceful. The fish is chili rasbora. I like the first tank very much also
The anubias bush in first tank is mesmerising!! That Betta cube is awesome!! We want a Betta aquascape from George.

Wow! Loved them all. Thanks for sharing them!
Lovely tanks, Ray is obviously an experienced hobbiest. For me my favourite tank is the 2nd tank. The plants look extremely healthy (as with all Ray's tanks) but I think the colourful Betta really makes the tank pop! Well done Ray.
I like them all but I am most impressed and inspired with the first scape, the bolbitis looks so healthy!
All the scapes are beautiful but it’s number 1 for me, I love the dark shadows on the left hand side. His plants look so healthy...👍
Wow, three stunning acquascapes. The last one is my personal favourite because boraras brigittae are my favourite fish. And I love the plants he used! Great!
Super impressed with the first, but cube tank is my favorite. Gorgeously lush, and love that betta.
The first one is my favorite as he has achieved the most with the least which is always an inspiration. That Anubias is extraordinary as well.

The cube really love low tech plants great mixture of them love it too much 😘
Hi George my favourite scape is the first one in his son's room. Just love the lay out and how prestine his plants are with out co2 injection. Really nice scape the plants look healthier than the ones with co2 injection in the guest room.

I love the first tank, that anubius blows my mind I completely agree with what you said about it being the healthiest looking anubius ever! I just like the layout most in that tank and I also really like the fish choice he has in there, very simple and shows that just putting a few nice fish in can look beautiful, perfect balance between the beauty of the scape and the beauty of the fish.. I think so often (and I am guilty of this) you just want to get as many fish as you can get away with but he had just the right amount! A nice guppy as a centrepiece fish is a great idea! I've never seen someone just have one guppy like that before but I love it!

all three tanks are fascinating to see. but my personal preference is the second tank. it has the combination of broad and narrow leaves and different level of plants. eye pleasing for imo
Wow really nice looking aquariums! For me the second one is my favourite one. Such a nice layout with such easy plants. It's also fitting very good in that cube.
That is one lucky lil guy to have that scape in his room. How fun! With that said; tank #1 was my favorite. I loved the layers and the left to right fall off. Also the tank itself looked amazing. I didnt think of, or would think white framing would look .... well... pretty dang cool! Cool setups all around! Thanks for the content!

Beautiful Ray! I am so jealous. #1 is my fave, based on how low tech it is...and how well all of the plants are doing. Well done!
Wow! Those are some stunning nanos! I am stunned to see such healthy and compact plant growth in a low-tech tank. Thanks for sharing, George! Lots of respect and admiration for what you do.

Amazing George... I loved the scape called leddy, I liked it due to the variety of plants and the open space also the sand used looks nice
I for one really enjoy the last one. The combination color and wood are fantastic.
The second one looks amazing ! Really natural ! Lot’s of love from France 👌🏼
All three are just lovely, as are your garden and home! My favorite of the three tanks is the Leddy, for its beautiful asymmetrical composition and for the nice choice of plants used. I am particularly enviouss of your Bolbitis and that red Bucephalandra! Nice job, Ray! Hope to see more of your work soon. :) George, super video! Would love to see additional hobbyists’ tanks in the future. Thanks for all that you do for the hobby.

Although all of them are really good looking, my favourite is the cube. I think that the height of the tank combined with the plants' rather big leaves and their vibrant colour makes for a stunning view! :D

First of all this guys tanks are incredible and hats off to him for that. PHLuke 19 I’m so tired of people trashing C02 setups because you’re broke and don’t know how to run an high tech setup. Fuck off. Just because he decided to take it the extra mile and his plants look better than yours isn’t validation to throw shade and pretend your shit is better. It’s so obvious you’re even trying to convince yourself that less is better just because you can’t afford more. It’s like you’re talking shit on someone’s brand new sports car because you drive a 1996 corolla.
That intense and gave me so much inspiration! Im thinking bout selling my dried up old big tank and getting a few smaller ones now!

I love the second tank, very nice!
I appreciate this video so much! I have a tiny nano tank & it's the Fluval Edge 6. It's small & hard to aquascape but it's a stunning presentation. And this gave me a good list of plants to add to my collection. I too have low lighting & I don't have access to co2 so I'm very thankful for this video,
All 3 tanks are beautiful!
so beautiful and inspiring! my fav has got to be the 50l dennerle as i have ome myself that im in the process of rescaping
I quite like the cube tank (with the betta). I like the contrast of the greens and browns, and it seems like a very well thought out 'scape. They are all fantastic though, and I am super jazzed to hear we will be seeing more.

That Rotala Indica is stunning! He has grown it nicely!
Nice! On Aquarium #1, Aquarium #2 and Aquarium #3 all the plants are so green, no algue, my favourite is #2.
Torn between 1 and 3, all three are gorgeous but love the layout for 3 and the way the fish looked in it, but loved the planting and the selection of plant species; awesome Anubias growth and Bucephelandra in 1.
My favourite would probably be the LEDDY scape. The attention to detail is amazing, how plants grow that compact in a low tech setup.
