not only is Mary strong and such a positive person, but Peter supports Mary every step of the way and does a lot for her! I bet this is hard for Peter to go through, watching Mary suffer some days, but their love and passion for eachother and staying positive is just amazing!

+Cara okay Yes, thank you for bringing up Peter's well being as well! He is so supportive and amazing... this is indeed hard for him too, but he is doing well. So thankful for his support and the support of you guys as well!

I let myself have a good rant/cry over my autoimmune disease every now and then. I always felt that a healthy release is necessary for me to remain positive 99% of the time. Some people might think it's me being pessimistic or "giving up", but I feel like I'm confronting the reality that chronic illness sucks, and it's not always going to be sunshine and rainbows.

I found your blog while watching videos about my own disease. I have stage 2 breast cancer. I know our battles are different, but you three inspire me. Oliver is SOOOOOO adorable! God Bless you all. Thanks for the vlogs

I love watching you every day! I don't have CF but I have extremely severe asthma. I have spent a lot of time in the hospital and know how "fun" it is. You give me courage to keep fighting. Keep going and encouraging others !

In bed sick for the past couple of days missed my birthday on antibiotics but none of that even compares to what you have to go through and both of ye are still making the best of it your amazing!Peter's relaxing technique made me laugh today thanks guys!

I think that’s one of the hardest things of having a chronic illness/CF-you can’t ever go on vacation-from the symptoms/treatment/everything! My mum/family used to say if I could take it off you so you can have a break-I/we would-I know it’s a very sweet thought-but it doesn’t help me-it’s not reality, not possible or a positive place for my mind/thoughts to be-it’s unachievable-i like to focus on what I CAN do!-I think they have gotten the idea that I appreciate and am thankful of the thought (I often say thanks!), but for me, it’s good place to be, it makes me feel down, and so they don’t say it too often now. I’m thinking of you (even though I’m watching this in 2018!) and thinking of your courageous tenacity to live the best life you can with CF, when it’s impossible to escape it or run away when you desperately want to. You are amazing and incredible!! Sending lots of love and prayers your way!💜💜💜💜💜

Mary you have such a positive view on life its inspired me to stay positive, I feel better everyday I watch your video, I have depression/anxiety and your positivism has help me so much. A few week ago I got a pneumonia and my asthma acted up again and not being able to breathe sucks, i"m better now but made me wonder how hard it must be for you everyday. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us.

Mary, I sleep like that too! I'll wake up in that position. Funny story, I've got paralysis in my left leg, and weakness in the other so I don't sleep walk but I do sleep sit. A few years ago I was in Missouri at a camp for kids/adults and I woke up sitting up and as I was tipping sideways off my bed onto the floor. I was fine, but it did take me awhile to get back into bed! (2am, and at home I have a hospital bed that I can lower to get up easier).

Mary, Peter, & Ollie, you inspire me! I have a chronic illness myself, but thankfully I have not ever needed to stay in the hospital for my condition and it's nothing like CF. I am praying for you all! Thank you so very much for sharing your life with us! You encourage me daily! :-) New subbie here. :-)

Good job eating Mary!! You're doing great, looking so much better too. Hope today is as good. Those plastic mattresses are something else, right? Definitely promote sweating. Around my place, it was silent yesterday - even outside throughout the day I was struck by how quiet everything was. Definitely a nice change since I live in Chicago and it's normally loud. It's cold here and snow on the ground. Keep up the hard work and take care of you.

+K Hatch Iverson I am very thankful for insurance! Throughout our marriage we have learned we need to be frugal in most areas of life in order to save up for the medical costs- so that is what we continue to do. But yes, I now have a primary and secondary insurance, so it is very helpful.

Found y'all last week or so while looking for "spoonie"/chronically ill vloggers. I don't have CF but I have Lupus and a bunch of other things. Glad I found y'all! Especially having Oliver. I'm getting my SD soon (hopefully!) so y'all are kind of everything I want to see in a vlog. Advice, SD stuff, laughing... it helps with being bedbound. Anyway, I have a question, Mary. When Peter was napping you said you were watching vlogs and I'm curious... What channels do you usually like to watch?

Can you tell where mine is? I don't know if it's clear in the videos...its right under my skin...not deep in muscle or anything. I like my placement...other people like theirs deeper under fat or muscle. I personally wanted mine up higher on my chest so the nurses and such wouldn't have to be all up in my area if you know what I mean. Any more questions???

Do you mind telling me a bit more about you? What you like to do in life, age range, male or female? I was a 15 year old girl when i got mine, and I was a MESS the day I got my port...I was scared, and it felt vulnerable...In the end, i cried, went to sleep, and woke up with my beautiful new port :) It probably took about 4 days or so for the soreness to go away...coughing and laughing hurt a bit, but not bad. I've never had an infection...i will say that i am a complete NUT when it comes to making sure my dressing stays sterile...etc. And in the ten years I've had this port, it has failed to give blood maybe 3 times ;) not too bad!

I get bad headaches when my spasms are really bad like today . love your vids. There's no taking off from this foley catheter it's a 24/7 thing the spasms are never ending , the meds are never ending.

You look pretty lady and I hope get well soon x

I dont have cf but i have ibs and your so brave your an inspiration to me when im in the hospital with stomach problems because you can be so happy and just brave in the hospital

hey mary and peter...glad your feeling better. i was just wondering since you are not allowed to leave your room without precautions and the nurses have isolation equipment on but peter seems to leave freely and come back and forth with no isolation gown or anything on. Does peter ever get sick and if he was he would have to leave the hospital right?? (or at least your room anyway)...thanks :)

I sleep the exact same way! I suffer from a rare disease too. crps. basically my central/systematic nervous system is messed up and I'm in constant pain. I totally understand having a suppressed immune system. mine sucks too! sending a big hug that you feel better.
