Peter's look at 12:04 when he realizes you have to have a procedure. ❤️ So much love and concern there. I am praying for you both, and your doctors' guidance and wisdom to help you. And just because you suggested it, and for all my fellow EDS'ers here: 🎵 Life with splints and braces on my joints, on my joints, life with splints and braces on my joints! 🎵

I've started singing "I ain't got no needle in my hip, in my hip" every time I change my cannula aha :D not going to lie, that minute and a half of not having a needle is still strangely liberating even 11 years on... :) keep going Mary, Peter and Ollie - you're such troopers! Also, your massage therapist seems so lovely - it always helps to have really nice people taking care of you at the hospital xx

Anna Nowak I love that too. I know a lot of the time, well meaning people will suggest for me to get up and going when I'm sick or dealing with chronic pain. Rest is usually the best medicine. It's quite a loving gesture to me, to be given "permission" to rest. Just my $0.02 worth & Goodnight to you!!! 😊❤️🙏

That walk to the top of the hospital!! Good for you! My prayers will definitely be with you for your possible surgery/procedures. I'm kind of like you...do it all while I am sleeping and just get it done and over with! You will be all bright and shiny for Christmas! Hope all continues well with antibiotics and such. Hospital teams are really amazing~was in for 2 weeks when I was 15 years old, very scared and so many tests, but they were wonderful and now lifelong friends I still am in touch with (almost 40 years later)! Now one of my nephews is a doctor and deciding on his residency!! Peter~Such a caring and loving soul you are! Blessings on the both of you!

With me it's life with a tube in my neck😂. MRI scan on Monday to determine whether I need a shunt revision. It drains fluid from my brain into my abdomen and scar tissue eventually closing up around the tube so the fluid can't get down it. I am encouraged everyday by you Mary and always try to find the positive in every day - thank you (as always) 😘

Your stair climb reminded me of the 3 minute stair climb for my clinical trial and I would work myself to get to the point where I could get to the top of the 6 story building from the basement with 30 seconds to spare. Your talking about the observers also made me think of my orthopedic surgeon showing how he did my legs and I actually fell asleep. As far as the changing the song around, I don't change it but on particularly long infusion days (Not actually longer just feels it) I sing after the needle comes out "I ain't got no needle in my chest!" It elicits funny looks from my nurse so then I have to tell them the story of my friend Mary

Well hello, Mary, Peter, and Ollie, Just sitting here after watching your vlog. I'm just getting used to having a port-a-cath, and I love it! I recently had to have a Cat Scan with contrast and it was nice to know I didn't actually need to have my arms stuck just to do the Cat Scan while I was in the hospital. Its nice that your CF comes with a team of people, when I was younger I used to go to Shriners Hospital in Springfield Mass, and back then it really wasn't a team, but I had several doctors looking and doing things to me. Now that I'm older, I can no longer go to Shriners because my orginal thing was Spina Bifida, and with that comes orthopedic stuff, and kidney stuff. I have to say thou your videos really cheer me up, Ive started singing the same song when my needle comes in and out. It surprises me that you don't feel the needle all that much, because for me I do but maybe I'm just not used to it yet. I did have one question thou, how do you afford all the doctor bills, for all the visits and stuff like that?? Just wondering. Well, I guess that's it for now. Take care

Don't worry about your body being complicated. My body is the same way. When someone asks my diagnosis is like it's complicated.

Good luck with getting all the procedures done at the same time. I've always tried to get my tests/procedures done at the same time. I'll pray for you that it works out.
