god Jase don't you know anything you inspect a bomb with a oxy touch mate and for safety get the apprentice to do the job
Hi fellas I worked at Trusscott on and of from 1986 until 2015 when I retired I visited this aircraft a couple of times over the years. We had the pleasure of finding some mustard bombs that were still live which the army sent a crew into remove. I was wondering if you seen the tire marks that are still in the mud flats from when a plane returning from a mission ran out of fuel the story has it the locals carried two new engines into the site so the could fly it out last time I was there the front gun turret was sitting on the side of the flats.loved working out there there’s so much history

That would have been an awesome place to work .. Great experience. My uncle worked on Groote he’s 74 .Now he looks back and realises what a special time it was fishing and hunting after work. For years he didn’t think much of it .

Awesome as guys , it was great meeting u both in person & a picture 🍺👍🇦🇺⚙️cheers all 4 Adventure
Quality episode, I'm always learning something (or shaking my head) - maps shows why heli or boat access is easier (even with the salt flat walk) - 14°07'43.4"S 126°18'34.6"E - kudos for taking the (non-existent) hard road in, Truscott to the DC-3 is no easy drive!
Great show guys,Adventure with a touch of History.
One of my fav trips this one... The legends working at Truscott base that brought us some food need a shout out. It was hard yakka getting there and Jase powered through like the heriner was a mosquito bite. Ah the memories
The bloody TREE 🌲 HAHAHAH good times
The propeller on the back of the bomb helped to keep them nose down but ultimately made the screaming/whistling noise that was designed to terrify the enemy, coz they knew it was coming.
Tracks are for those that haven't been through ......like these guys 😂 Just make your own until it's time to turn back
Well that took me down memory lane . Had some friends when I was young that tried to knock the firing pin out of an empty shot gun shell.
There's a trail that goes from alaska all the way through canada through the u s a down through panama into south america down to the very tip. There are sections of the trail that take months if not a year to be able to make it through
That’s pretty awesome 👏 .
Surprised you guys haven’t fitted a “quadbar” to the 4wheeler - it’s a big deal for safety in Ag!
You gotta love it
Hey boys. Got an unrelated question. Which truck would ypu feel more comfortable touring with, a modified LC200 or a ram 2500? Would love a ram, but have heard some bad stories about trying to get them fixed in remote places.
Come visit our Museum, we have several flying Dacs
Looks like ya in need of an offsider Jas!?!? Ill do all the heavy lifting while you look after the budgy stuff. Another awesome fun adventure, yeoff
The bomb has no fuze screwed in the top
