Never mind that! :)) ...Can you imagine Felix as part the cast of a remake of "Flight of the Pheonix ?" He would make up 2 engines out of 4, fix up the controls, make a compass & get themselves out of there in no time as the flight engineer! ;)))

Thanks for this wonderful compliment!
Thank you for bringing this one to us. I'll be adding a few jigsaw blades to my wallet. Three in particular: One, a very aggressive wood saw for making it much easier to keep the integral saw in prime condition. Just as I would in order to save my handaxe for when nothing else would do by breaking a branch between two tree trunks. Two, a bi-metal blade as I don't have a convenient way to cut metal that I can carry every day. Three, as you mentioned, a diamond-coated or maybe carbide abrasive blade for very hard materials such as hardened steel or ceramics. None of these are the "right" tool for the job. But, if carried every day, most of my pockets hold the "Right now!" tools for the job and you just gave me three more for less than the cost of a sandwich, a tiny bit of space and only a few grams of weight. By the way, my daughter loves your book.

Actually fantastic you can stick any blade on this as long as its for a jigsaw. I really need a Metal saw on my Huntsman.
I am happy you mentioned the inventor of the trick! Thx for sharing this idea!

Nice one Felix! I've seen this before and it's been going around the various EDC channels lately, but no-one else has gone into such detail, testing and explanation as you. Thanks for another fantastic video!!
I've watched so many of your videos on the use of the swiss army knife. This one just might be my favorite. I love your channel. The swiss army knife is an incredible multi tool. I'm glad that a toolbox sized, multi use piece of equipment can fit in my pocket with little to no weight. Outstanding! Everyone should have one at the ready. A 40.00 dollar bill is worth it. Take care.
Ingenious! Hats off to Benjamin Balke, and to you, Felix, for passing it on to us! :D
Every Friday I look forwars to your videos. Such practical and cool projects! Thanks Felix!

That's brilliant! Using your ingenious tip, I'll be doing the same this weekend. Felix, you should get an award for all these useful tips and tricks! Have a super weekend! *Hugs* and special thanks also to Benjamin Balke ~ Wendi 🌻
This is so cool, Felix! Yesterday I watched video's on KZread where different people complained about this 'useless package carrier hook' and wanted or did replace the hook (for a philips screwdriverbit, also not bad, but...) This solution now with the sawblades and all possibilities! makes it very much worth to keep it on! Thanks, Benjamin und Felix, and greetz from Holland 😊
Nice trick indeed Felix, good thinking of Benjamin

Great tip! 👍🏼 Thanks to Benjamin. It's easy to carry a prepared jigsaw blade in a knife pouch, extending the versatility of a smaller knife, like my Tinker. I do have a saw blade on my Outrider, but I don't always carry that. Incidentally, the best pocket knife sawblade I've used was that on my Mauser, which also had a protective cover.
Thank you so much Felix!
Your ingenuity with the Swiss Army knife puts the original MacGyver to shame👍
Another great addition to a great tool. Thanks for keeping it fresh an innovative.

Hi Felix 😊 good to see you again, I hope you and your family are doing well. This is a great idea, I didn't think it was possible to adapt a blade like that, full mark's to Benjamin , and your tests prove it works in the woods. Thanks for another interesting video mate, stay safe, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart UK.

Thanks Felix for another great vid. Your ideas are always so clever and creative. Your shrink wrapping and taping the Tshank in particular made the setup so much more secure and workable. You made the original idea even better! I see from your vid you had the smooth end of the saw blade facing the tip of the hook. I think it would work better if we flip it around so the teeth of the saw faces the tip of the hook. With the saw blade sitting on the lower end of the SAK instead on the upper end allows better ground clearance and minimizes the chance of marring the end of the scales when in action.

My Father bought me a Swiss Champ for my twenty first birthday. That was thirty four years ago and it’s still strapped to my belt. I’ve replaced the scissor spring (twice) and I’ll need to replace the scales at some point but other than that it’s still an incredibly useful, regularly used tool

Felix, back in late January (2023) I was lucky in enough to find a Victorinox Tool in an office junk drawer filled with, well, junk. I took it home and was pleased to find out that it was the Spartan Model. It's handle is a little beat up, but everything is in excellent working condition. Had it not been for your videos, I would have not rescued the tool. I now call it my "Felix" multi-tool in your honor. 👍⚔️
Brilliant.

Nice trick. I have bought one with a wood saw already, but that is for sure a neat little trick for those who have the multi-purpose hook. With a bit of patience the blades can even be cut to 'engage' on the hook properly (cut the shape of the hook on the side of the blade with a Dremmel for example)
