When I was new in k-pop, I used to stan YG, because I was like "Woah, all the YG groups have that cool similar style" and "That's so YG"... But then I found out about how most Companies (most likely all of them tbh, but I'm trying to give the benefit of doubt to some) treat idols badly... So I stopped stanning 🤷🏻‍♀️

When something bad happens... suddenly its the sublabels fault. ie. for example, Gfriend disbands.. oh.. its source music fault, not hybe. Fromis 9 not getting any comeback. it's Pledis fault not Hybe. But if someone breaks a record like Seventeen achieving highest 1st day sales suddenly its Hybe artist. LOL. I think Bang PD also felt like if any of these sublabels "get outta line" they will just crush them and rebuild. But there's always a flip side. He's also created so many sub-labels that it can become a big problem if they ever have conflict.

The laptop they are asking for is company property, meaning it is hybes. Legally if she does not comply, or any employee fails to comply with their employer they are in the wrong. e.g. from not performing, to not returning company property and etc. If she gets the laptop scrubbed - then she is also in violation, because you cant make those changes to company devices.

I don’t think HYBE was trying to separate them both initially. Not sure about now,, I’m not a shareholder lol. But Like MHJ mentioned it was a joke that she was trying to go as an independent label BUT at the same time she was looking into the contracts of the NJ members, meaning her words and intentions don’t match. Not that I have an issue with her going separate ways. But she should’ve at least waited for NJ current contract to end and then once it does they can renegotiate the contracts etc. Wat she is doing causes harm for literally all idols and staff under HYBE. It could’ve been handled so much better yet here we are in this sh!tstorm of nonsense.

That's backwards. It's MHJ that's trying to take NJ away from HYBE. That's the point: that's the accusation that HYBE is bringing to court. She was trying to take complete control of the girls' contracts, despite the fact that she only has 20% ownership of the company stock. She had two plans: to take NJ, split from HYBE, and set up her own company with them, or, her preferred plan: to take full ownership of HYBE by *using* NJ's popularity. Basically, you average hostile corporate takeover. That's why she wanted BTS gone so badly, of course. With them out of the way, and NJ so popular, she thought it was her golden opportunity to take charge. And she'd already prepared for it. She put NJ on the top floor of the HYBE building when they were merely trainees, and assigned the floor beneath to BTS, who were responsible for 90% of HYBE's income at the time. Pretty major red flag, in hindsight.

RM and Coups better make their own companies together and it's ironic how this went from a joke to being a real thing that everyone wants....

For real! The magic was gone for me when the intro changed. Also: How can BangtanTV have more subscribers than Hybe Labels? A lot of people obviously don't like how the teasers and MVs of so many different artists are put on that channel. It's kinda messy and annoying.

7:59 apparently your team is incapable of reading the statistics used in your own video, as if you would take a closer look at the data shown at 6:37 you could have seen that Source Music (Le Sserafim) are also profitable (looking at Enhypen's numbers, I believe that BeLift, who are not shown here, also operate on a profit). Also good job discrediting fromis_9 from Pledis' profits (that mainly stems from SVT, ik). If you would now look at the data shown in 6:45 you could see that most subsidiaries shown here are not labels, but software and management agencies that have no or expanding products in their portfolio atm. The only labels that operated on a loss were KOZ and Hybe Labels Japan as they debuted their groups in 2023, and funnily enough ADOR also operated on a loss in 2022 when they debuted NewJeans. I know you guys are trying to push your agenda of HYBE as the devil and MHJ as the messiah for whatever reason, but maybe try to reach that conclusion on something more based in reality ;)

No one is trying to destroy MHJ and I take umbridge with efforts to paint her as some kind of (female) corporate hero against the “big bad” HYBE. Whistleblower? Victim? Give over! She is no femininst hero / role model - I see no evidence of her uplifting women or women’s issues. What I did see was a grown woman use a press conference to do everything BUT answer the pertinent questions of the day such as “why did you not hand over your laptop to auditors when requested?” Instead, she used the opportunity to heavily criticise two rookie (female) groups - LeSserafim and Illit - as well as make shady comments about the aesthetics of one of her group’s members. I am no corporate apologist but from what I can see / understand what HYBE appears to be doing is trying to hold her to account per her contractual obligations, obligations she willingly entered into, is bound by and handsomely paid for. If she broke her contract then she deserves to be punished and if she broke the law then she is liable and equally deserves punishment. Why is HYBE wrong for pursuing that when they bankrolled this woman to the tune of billions of Won and ensured her trainees did not incur trainee debt but were instead paid a seven figure sum in their first year? I do not see why HYBE or any corporate entity for that matter should roll over because someone decides the rules should no longer apply to them. Reading these comments I really question the mentality and maturity of people nowadays. My goodness!

However I can answer that question for you - she did not create her own fully independent label even though she appears obsessed with control because… she did not want to use her own money. You see creating a business from scratch, irrespective of industry, requires capital, lots of it, and presents risk. Although she has cache in the entertainment industry due to her time in SM there was no guarantee she could generate the level of interest and momentum needed on her name alone whilst retaining 100% control. So, what did she do? Like any other savvy businessperson she saw an opportunity to do so under HYBE which has a ready-built infrastructure, connections and, importantly, abundant revenue thanks mainly to BTS (BTS comprise nearly 50% of HYBE’s revenue in 2023 and they are on hiatus - ADOR is 10%). For this she had to cede control - HYBE created Ador and owned the entire stake but Bang PD gave her nearly 20% stake and lent her money to buy extra shares. However, she got greedy and we are now where we are! The media play obscures the fact this is heading towards her removal from Ador and possibly the court of law and no amount of televised histrionics will help her.

Look, Hybe is very shady, but this is not an unbiased view of the situation. This completely ignores the facts of MHJ's contract. She had an extremely generous contract, so much so that people are throwing around the theory of her being in a relationship with Bang as a way of explaining it. She was given way more percentage of control than other Hybe execs, allowed to buy millions in company shares that she could cash in on in two years (and if she couldn't find a buyer that Hybe would agree to, they would buy the shares back at full market value), and she had the gall to ask for more-more ownership over Adore and full control over hiring and firing artists without say from Hybe and the board of directors (which she was denied)-which many think was the first step in her plan to extract NJ from Hybe. This video is falling for her manipulations right along with the Korean public and trying to make her into some sort of feminist hero?! Its really insulting and is just completely ignoring the facts of the case. If she is guilty of what she is being accused of she is going to JAIL! Because its fraud. Her press conference was a big cry fest but she presented no evidence or defence that she was innocent. She just cried a few crocodile tears and suddenly she is an underdog and not the multi millionare with a scary amount of power in a big company. A company that she was planning to illegally devalue so she could get what she wanted.

Also, where did they get the idea that international fans are more fans of companies than they are artists? Since when? Statistics show artists from small companies have more fans of international stans than they do in Korea. The korean public have always been company stans. That's why Bighit was such an anomaly. Where did they get that line from?
