Another good Tool Tuesday demonstration. Very informative.

You didn't mention is if you have a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) on your equipment you Can't use that because it ruins the sensors.

Very true! Everyone hates dealing flats. I swapped out my lawn and garden tractor tires for a new set. It's so satisfying not having to inflate them every other use. Not sure why I waited so long?

I'll have to give it a try. I've used Slime with good results in the past. The budget version is liquid laundry starch. It won't fill as large a hole as other things, but leaky rims and other slow leaks will be taken care of. I have some equipment with old dry rotted tires that I put starch in years ago and they are still holding air.

Look into a product called Tireject. Use it all on my heavy equipment.

Coming from the cycling industry, I’ve used Stan’s since they first came out. Stan’s has been a leader in this department forever. They also make hubs and rims ( both alloy and carbon) and sell complete wheels. Plus, a variety of rim tapes, valve stems and tools for applications. I did not know they did AG-stuff also! I am going to hit them up !!

If you pre-measure the product, just use a car jack to lift the equipment and the flat tire will pull product in squeezing not needed.

I have been using Multi-Seal HD for the same application. A little expensive but works great.

Well maybe it’s just your part of the world! I have never had a flat tire on my lawn mower! I’ve had a flat tire on my trailers and once one a car!😂

I've used both and Stans has been my go too for years....shining above the rest in the cycling world, bikes pick up the same sort of flats and slow leaks that power equipment does....love the Stans...again..been using it for years...love it! Requires a little refresh every season typically

How much rust did it add to your rims?

I need to do this, I'm always finding my zero turn mower tires flat.

just bought a husky mower and in manual it says any of that stuff will void warranty. just a heads up cause i know most guys dont read the manual, i wasnt really i just was looking of oil type for transmission and engine when that caught my eye

tip- i have been fixin tires, the ply is very important!! i ordered 4 ply, got 2, people do not know want they are doing. double check everyone!!!!

They don't spin fast enough. But even if you put it in a trailer tire liquids will self balance in the tire, as long as they don't freeze in winter or dry out in a puddle.

Berryman's and Amerseal are both good tire sealers too.

Thanks for the vid Josh. I have a zero turn that the front tire keeps going flat but a dunk test never shows any bubbles so seems like no leak. Can you use this product if the tire loses the bead on the rim and air by itself wont inflate the tire? Thanks.

Hey Josh, Does it “cure” or stay messy and slimy like Slime? I avoid Slime because of the mess if you ever put anew tire on the rim.

Finally something I never see before for real ....

What and where did you get those work gloves that you had on when workoking on cycle mower?

It's been my experience that tire additives make tire repairs more expensive due to cleaning the tire before patching, and some of these products actually cause the wheels to rust, shortening their lifespan.

Not Stans...it basically puts a "snakeskin" inside your tire, but rubs or wipes right off if needed

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer that's definitely an improvement over that green stuff in tires. Fix a flat is for dire emergencies, but my tire guy warns that it could be up to $20 additional to fix the tire.

Others experience no need for manual repair after putting it in. Depends on size of hole, it might balance in favor of use and no need for repair, or go straight to a shop and tell them you used it.

Serious question, what does it do to the rims?

That Toro seems to be working good for you, do you still have the john deere one?

A little off topic. Can't decide on a quad or side by side. Using for work (haul/ plow, ) and a little trail riding. Want to take the granddaughters, one at a time, for a ride as well. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Really good tip for not having anymore flats. I will have to look into getting some.. our church lawn mower has a knack for getting flats. Thanks again for the tip.

What's it like to remove and replace the rubber tire with the latex inside the tire? A Nasty mess?

That's what I was wondering Tireject is a awesome product.

Foam doesn't work. Once parked it creates a flat spot that will not round back. It eventually crumbles inside the tire.

Man I thought you where going to show them airless tires for the lawn mowers I have been 👁 balling them for a wail know they are expensive but not having to worry about flats or uneven cut on the yard would be nice.

Having a flat tire the day you have to mow is one of the most annoying things that happens lol

I’ve heard from a few people Over my days that when you remove a valve core , regardless if it was good or not ...... to always replace it... Are they right?

I dont think you need to replace them every time they are removed unless damaged when removing or that was the cause of the air leak. I was always taught when replacing your tire replace the whole valve stem with a new one if the rubber type, if it's the metal type valve stem then just replace the core.

Hi Jimmy, Yes, absolutely - thorns and other puncturing objects are the biggest potential problems that fueled us to create a SOLUTION to flat tire woes! We've been at it in the bicycle world for 20+ years!!

Oh I am totally disappointed 😢!!! TireJect because that stuff really works.

Lol, I've only mowed twice with the Toro Max but I suspect I'll suffer the fate of a flat eventually. If I'm being honest, I already know Ill end up thinking "SRF tried to tell me" lol.

I know this is not sizing for cars but. On a car or truck you can have 2 different sizing types (31x10.5r15) 31 tall 10.5 wide 15 inch rim or the percentage type (235/75r15) 235 tread width 75% of the tread width is the sidewall height and a 15inch rim.

I just bought some multi-seal for my tractor. 1 plug in one tire and 2 plugs in the other front tire. Tired of this also.

Great, now I'm going to be looking at comparison and other tests for the next hour. We spent nearly $1k to foam fill tires which is the best protection. That's after trying every color tractor slime product. Does this really work? Our property had locust and bush honey suckle with unforgiving thorns. I've trashed nearly a dozen tires. Tubes can't be used as they just shred quickly.

Hi Jay, Stan's does work great for thorn punctures - it's formulated with natural latex so it really bonds well to the rubber tire.

Low key flexin on your wheels lol

Only flat on the bottom but this stuff can resolve that

all skid steers dont have solid tires...the tire on this machine is it's suspension....soft tire, less bounce

That's close to $60 for all four tires. 32oz is just enough for two tires on most things I'd use this for and my tractor not enough for two tires. $$$$$

Other stuff that has been on the market for decades to foam seal tires hardens and makes the ride very rough.

Cade wants tweels but OMG are they expensive!

Where do I find the tube you use to fill the tire with the solution?

So what do you do when the tire is finally worn out and needs a new tire. Does this stuff get all over the rim where you can not reuse the rim and have to not only buy a new tire, but a new rim each time as well ?

nope it's just rubberized and stays on the tire....it will dry out after a few years and you need to add more...been using it in bicycle tires for years..it rubbs right off the rim like rubber cement

As others have stated tireject is awesome and not corrosive. Slime is. That would be my question on this product first and foremost

Stan's Sealant is also non-corrosive, that being said - plain water can be corrosive to bare metal.

I'm gonna have to check my tire sizes now. I just assumed they all matched 🤔

What do the tire guys think about it when you have to replace the tires? And is it like slime?

Hi Roger, we do recommend to give the mechanic a heads up if you put anything inside your tire/wheel besides air/nitrogen. The cleanup is A LOT easier than with that green stuff you mention. Google how to use ATF, it's amazing!! I've done at least 40 slow leak tractor tires since last spring and ALL are holding air! Easy and cheap!

nope...not at all. Fix a flat ruins tires, it "gums up" the inner wall of the tire, this simply fills the hole and you get back to mowing

Should have put a nail in to demonstrate that it really does work. I've heard that these type of product don't really work and just make a mess inside the tire. What say you? Thanks

uh...this doesn't have anything to do with my buddy Wes and this aint a 150hp tractor brotha...funny because Wes texted me about an hour after this video was up...told me he was gonna send some tireject to me. Just looked at their site....to do one lawn mower the cost is $42.99 takes 30 oz...so it's about the same with both products I'd say

The pricing really sticks in my craw not because it is expensive but because 2-16oz bottles are $40 but if you want the 32oz bottle it is $41.50......Why Stan's?? Usually you pay less for larger containers (or at least the same) not more! I know it is only $1.50 but it is the principle ! Yes I'll just buy the 16s but it's still aggravating! Update: OK my bad first pricing was on Amazon, going straight to Stan's the 32oz is $34! Sorry for jumping the gun Stan's!

That stuff will ruin a tire gauge.

I'll bet the folks at the tire shop love changing tires that have sealant like this in them. Looks like a good product otherwise.
