I pray for a Pius XIII. The faithful so desperately need it; yet we truly do not deserve it.

I find it a little ironic how Pope Pius XIII is wearing Pope Paul VI's crown. Paul VI oversaw the ecclesiastical revolution of the 60s and 70s with the aftermath, implementation, and hijacking of Vatican II. Pius XIII started a counter-revolution to reverse all of that in his short pontificate. Paulo Sorrentino may be anti-Catholic and his show may be a failed attempt at a story by the likings of Flannery O'Connor or Stanley Kubrick, but he is very good at his storytelling and his symbolism and imagery.

@@Garry_Combine Accidental genius. I feel that a Second Council of Trent or Florence will be convened and just knock over Vatican II in a heartbeat if this Pope was a real one. I'd live for that.

I so hope for a Pius XIII like pope. I pray God will send him to us, we desperately need a man like that
