    how do you access the turbo (3000 lumen) mode? do you keep holding it? I can only access mine by holding the button.

  • @PreparedGuy

    @PreparedGuy

    Жыл бұрын

    I explained it in the video. You have to HOLD DOWN THE MODE BUTTON whilst twisting off the tailcap just enough so that the light turns off, and then twist the tailcap back on until the light turns back on. Then let go of the mode button. You need to hold down the mode button the Entire time or this won't work. Doing this will toggle from the daily use mode to the tactical mode. The light will not stay constant on in the 3,000 lumen output in the daily use mode. It will only stay constant on in the 3,000 lumen output in the tactical mode. 👍😎 I hope this helps.

    I just bought one, I do wish it had one more ultra low mode of under 10 lumens. The ability to have just enough light to read a map without broadcasting yourself could be useful in a light marketed as tactical. Or for marking a campsite location if hung from a tree.

I have the Olight Warrior that was compared to in this video, and I had a hard time getting used to it, but lemme tell ya, its hella torch! It does have a tighter hot spot compared to other lights. That is my preference. The P23i is due to be delivered tomorrow! Cant wait to do my own comparison. Peace

    If I'm being honest, the mh25 seems like an all around better light but, when I tested the smaller version of it which was the MH12 PRO, it didn't make the cut. So I'm unsure about recommending the mh25 since it's basically the same light but with slightly better specs. I can't recommend something I haven't actually tested yet. So far the p23i has been good to me and hasn't had any issues. My friend has the mh25 and says it's excellent so that's all I have to offer to the question. I probably won't help much 😂👍

    I feel the same way. I love the new warrior but honestly I wish they put a strobe on it too. It's a tactical light. That basically the only feature necessary besides good punching power/throw. It's a snake without the venom. I honestly use the Nitecore more often than not and only break out the warrior X3 when I really need the extra boost. Also I love that the Nitecore has dedicated buttons. It's a really nice feature. I wish olight would do that. Love my 23i. I've recently got this light. I looked a LOT at the competition. Each light has its trade offs and each user has their specific wants. For an EDC light that covers the range in variable brightness levels and cover distance ranges with a high candela, not to mention a reasonable price for the light and quality you're getting, this light is tough to beat. It has a daily use mode and a tactical mode. I find the tactical mode is great for my daily use too. You always have the turbo strobe available but in tactical mode, the main button is ready to go with turbo. With the mode button right under it, and knowing what lumen power I want, it's SO quick to adjust just the lumens I want. Yes, it's important to me that the light works as a defensive tool for first, upsetting the vision of an attacker(s) and second, to use as a striking tool. I love how it has the breaking glass metal points on the bezel to break glass if needed. Having to personally need and use a glass breaker to save someone in their car before, I don't take that tool for granted. Just saying, that the P23i has exceeded my expectations. I like so many brands but I'm developing a 'bias' for Nitecore.

    The max beam distance on the TK20R V2 is 475 meters where as the P23i is 470 meters. To see the difference between the 2 would take some seriously amazing eyesight. That would be like trying to visually point out the difference between 3,000 lumens and 3,100 lumens. The difference between the 2 would be almost completely indistinguishable to the naked eye. Which means you must have some darn good eyesight 🤔😂 I agree the Fenix TK20R V2 is basically the same flashlight as the Nitecore P23i which tells me that Nitecore might not be as innovative as they claim to be. I've got them both: IMHO, the P23i is a better all-around light; yes, the Warrior 3 has abit more throw, but they both throw further than I can see clearly; that said, I'm not fond of the Warrior's lack of a strobe or high/low only settings; also, the magnetic charging cord needed for it, and my Warrior Pro are not advantageous for most of my situations; however, I love my Olight i3t's, i5t and i5R. That said, hit the woods without that darn proprietary charging cord, and you're out of luck; I've done it in the past, but I have so many type C cords I'm never far from one. Don't get me wrong, I really like my Warrior 3 and Warrior Pro; but to be honest, my MH25s which, to my eyes, throws just as far as my W3, or my P20i with less throw, but the one-handed operation, were my favorite EDCs until I got the P23i; Nitecore combined the best of the two it seems; doing everything with one hand, and its small footprint (identical to the P20i) makes the p23i the better choice for my personal uses. In the end, it's all personal preference; they're so many excellent torches on the market anymore it's hard to say which is truly best, and easier to ask which is best for one's individual circumstances. I know I have to lay off buying the latest greatest torch every time one comes out; it seems as soon as I get a new one, an upgraded version is released a month later; if my P20i didn't have the nice big spot, I'd be disappointed with its 375-yard throw; however, it's lower low, and again, wider spot coverage still make it a worthwhile torch to have when that longer throw isn't a priority. I'm waiting for them to release an MH25s (probably called MH12se) with the sft-70 now; hopefully, I'll be able to stop this crazy attiction after its release.

Take up golf, or shooting, or drinking, or motorcycling, or gaming, etc, and flashlights are a FRACTION of those costs and lights are a NEED. Even my older ones still get used somehow. All I'm saying is....be thankful we're in a 'division' that is really something we shouldn't feel bad about.
