Correction, i said in this video that the edc33 comes with a 5 year warranty but i forgot that the edc33 has a built in battery which make it a 2 year warranty instead of a 5 year warranty, which is yet another con to having a built in battery. 🤦‍♂️

I pre ordered this and have been very happy with it. The UI does have a learning curve. Not a big deal. The built in battery is no problem to me.

I added one of these to my collection and I surprised myself by carrying it as my edc. I am not a fan of built-in batteries, but I can live with it. Does it get hot on turbo? Of course, it’s 4k 😂 so don’t run it for a long time on turbo. That’s not what turbo is for. It’ll run as long as you like on 1200. 4k is for a few seconds of emergency use - like to repel an attacker. If you need a long-run 4k light, it’s not going to fit in your pocket. I think people are often looking to bend the laws of physics 😂

We must at least attempt to understand the laws of physics before we can attempt to bend them. Nitecore is the type of company that is at least willing to connect the car battery to the Keychain flashlight just to see what will happen. 🤣 and I respect that kind of curiosity. We can't make profound discoveries without at least trying to push the envelope when it comes to experimentation. I honestly like this light but like I said in the video and like you said it is definitely a 1,200 Lumen flashlight that is capable of 4,000 lumens but that doesn't mean use them all in one shot 🤣👍 you've gonna spend your lumens wisely. Some of my viewers would be like hey that's false advertising because it's not running for 6 hours at 4,000 lumens. 🤣 it not happening just yet. Until then you get what you get. It's not like everyone isn't trying. There are just limitations on what we can produce with the current science.

Shorter warranty and built in battery and posssible explosion if used too long......damn ive been looking to replace my edc torch and wanting something that can be thrower and also a flood. I guess ill wait to see if a company can produce such a light. Companies need to stop this built in or proprietary shit

Lol everyone who bought a edc 33 is pissed. These dumb flashlights are like cell phones now, a new one every month. I remember when all that was available was maglight, now there's a zillion different brands pumping out different models 4x a year and hardly ANY of them are made in America.

Built-in batteries are dumb - especially when it's obviously just a tube battery judging by the shape of the flashlight. In tiny or flat form factor lights it makes sense, but it's just stupid in a light of this form factor. If it's going to require fancy circuitry then just pull an olight and do the proprietary batteries. At least those can be pulled out and swapped if necessary.

Why would I buy something that could explode on me lol. I’ll pass on this.

Literal hot garbage. Too hot to hold outside in winter after such a short time is ridiculous. I'm sorry but relying on the user instead of better thermal protection is unacceptable. Same with a non removable battery in a flashlight of this cost and size. Although to be fair, I think this is partly companies responding to market pressure. Too many people look for the top number because higher= better. I never go off the turbo or even high numbers. I look for the brightest setting I'll need and a corresponding runtime that's long enough.
