  • @RajaFong

    Indie doesn’t mean you can’t sell in a retailer. It means the person/persons are a self created and funded company. Meaning if I were to solely fund a the development, production of a product without me being a subsidiary of some larger conglomerate, that would make my brand “indie”. It doesn’t matter if it’s sold in Morphe or saphora or wherever, I’d still be indie because those places to not have a hand in the creation of that product. They are only a retailer. Indie also doesn’t mean that a brand or a person behind it is unknown. That has literally nothing to do with designation of something being “independent”

    @@madethistocomment727 I agree they are two different topics that can be discussed independently of each other, but having poor mental health can disrupt the decision making process. That can include morals. For example, someone with schizophrenia can seem like a completely different person on v.s. off their medication, or people with Dissociative Identity Disorder have alters that can have opposing morals to each other. This includes less complex issues too, like anxiety and depression. That being said, I don’t think mental health is the reason for Nikita’s lack of integrity either. She has a pattern of ripping off indie brands and generally being problematic before and after she allegedly started taking her mental health seriously. But improving your mental health can be a long process, so only time will tell.

And even if that can be explained somehow the fact she said she had been working on these nails for a year but had bought nails from the original people who was selling those nails 8 months ago is very suspicious. But it's also just sad that her nails look like trash compared to the original nails. Nikita's are orange, not very sturdy, don't have that many sizes, and don't look that appealing. Everytj8ng Nikita puts out ends up being a fail, and it's getting sad at this point.

And I see why bc how much money could she really make a year doing the lazy shit she does? Im really not kidding, I would love to know how she pays rent and for groceries and clothing and her health insurance because she spends a lot on her appearance and she doesn't actually DO much of anything. Who is really buying Dragun Beauty? That is why she comes back to KZread with those crazy videos to sell shit. She is trying to not only cash in on the product but also get enough views on the thing to make money off of that too. Also she loves attention so any time she can make her own little music video she is all in.

Think about it, Problematic person gets hate and looses fans for being problematic, then takes a "Mental break" to "Grow", comes back to the internet and regains fans, then does problematic things again, and the cycle repeats. It just seems like manipulation, Once they start to hurt you, they reel you back in only to hurt you more.

  • @victoriadiesattheend.8478

    @victoriadiesattheend.8478

    Of course it's manipulation. Think about it. Once they get into some type of trouble on the internet, they usually consult somebody in the "image" field or a lawyer maybe. That person usually tells them nowadays to take a break from their officialn online presence, i.e., stop posting from their verified/known account, for a certain amount of time. This allows for the person to not have to interact with people calling them out, which protects them. You can't get in trouble for shit you don't say. Less ammo. It also gives their image and brand time to recover from the hit they took during whatever scandal. They aren't over saturating people with their online presence at a time when ppl are being especially critical of them. This is usually masked as "ppl taking time to reflect" to make people like you think they are truly sorry for anything they have done, and manipulate you into "forgiving" them. And its important to them that you do, bc they either need your views or purchases to MAKE MONEY. I took the time out to explain this to you bc it honestly pains me to see someone being manipulated into thinking these ppl see you as anything more than a dollar sign. This world is full of ppl screaming for their cut they believe they are owed, for whatever reason. Don't allow them to fool you.

    In my mind, this is what happened; She ordered nails from the brand. Then she thought of everything she would do to the nail to match her and her skin tone. In essence, a way to make the nail "better".. except she knows nothing about actually manufacturing nails, so her vision did not match the completed project.

    It is a basic design. But the name being exactly the same...and she even placed an order with the company who has the same nails with the same name?? Its like she literally picked up the box the day she met with makartt an hour before and said, whatever, this is fine. She didn't even take the opportunity to enjoy being creative with the name. She could have named each set after, Idk, a movie from the 90's. That black set could have been called The Craft, or something. You see? Its not only blatant but lazy.

So this is shocking. Makartt messed up with this choice. Also enailcouture has full cover black tips that are amazing and have had them for a long time. Max Estrada owner of enailcouture has amazing full cover gel tips. I'll have to check out this smaller company and give them some support.

    The nails being cheap and sizes not being correct isnt actually her fault it’s the company that made them lol. People don’t seem to understand how collaborations work. If you work with a brand to bring out a product you don’t have much say and maybe what color is used is about it and it’s similar to skincare if you work with a brand you don’t have much say and the only say you have is packaging and maybe the fragrance lol. If she paid her own money to make her own brand and the nails were complete crap and ripping others off I’d get mad but get mad at the company who made these.

    Hi , so i work in industrial design and package design as an art director and if you didnt pay for the design and molding in the manufacturing process you basically do not own the design of that packaging , some company do design their own packaging but made a deal with the manufacturer to not pay the molding so that the manufacturer can resell that packaging.if you pay for the mold you own that mold and it can not be used for other brands.this is very expensive to do so yes you will see lot of same packaging in makeup to cut cost.
